That sounds nice.
I've got some chicken mince in the freezer at the moment too, it came with an order of meat from Muscle Foods. I've been thinking about what to do with it.

That's where mine came from Lois.
I think I might try those apple and chicken bites because I can have any leftovers in a picnic tomorrow.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I'd also been scouring the mag for recipients and thought I could make the patitssio or koftas from thus months mag if nothing else took my fancy.
I'll let you know what I decide on and what it is like.0 -

Having major loo issues AGAIN  Today I am going to keep track of how much fluid I am taking - DH reckons 'not enough' in his opinion
Oh the bhajis last night - not bad but we might have been a bit heavy handed with the tumeric and it was a bit strong. Texture was on the soft side - but we used ryvita instead of scan bran - have substituted this before and not had problems. Will give them another go sometime with less tumeric and less water - may even buy some scan bran :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone

How did you make the onion bhajis? a paste? with smash? Seen so many different ways (and I'm wanting to make these tomorrow!! ):p:j
Re-starting comping and saving May 2016 :j:money:0 -
Have got my laptop back:T. Only trouble is I've now got to install all the programmes I use again - Word, Excel, Adobe etc! I even had to download Google Chrome again as the lappy only came with IE on it and I'm not keen on it.
Well done everyone on the losses - there have been a few biggies; also congratulations to teallach on reaching target and enjoy your holiday; anything you put on you'll lose quite quickly when you get back.
Was feeling quite fat and bloated yesterday but by some miracle I had a loss of 1.5lb - that's huge for me so I'm now back just below target again.
Was going to have an EE day today but when I looked at my plans for today decided to make it a Red one instead:
B - strawberries after WI
L - 50g corned beef sandwich, lettuce, cucumber, mayo instead of spread; strawberries, raspberries, grapes
D - chicken breast stuffed with garlic & herb soft cheese wrapped in bacon. Will have with either jacket potato or new pots & salad.
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB1 - WM bread
HEB2 - potatoes
Syns - 50g corned beef 2; 1Tbs light mayo 2
If I get the nibbles this evening I'll syn a couple of Ryvitas and have my HEA2 cheese:D

When I make bhajis I use the recipe on the SW website which uses 60g of gram flour to 200g of sliced onions. The recipe makes 12 @ 1 syn each.

I'm doing SW and getting so annoyed with myself !! I have only lost 8 pounds since Feb. My group is on a Friday so I always put on at the weekend and lose it during the week to end up where I was at the start !! I feel like a complete failure when I read stories of people who have lost stones in the same number of months!0

Hi all,
I am trying to do slimming world on my own and have been a long time lurker on this thread - which is amazing btw, your all so helpful and friendly!! I wondered if there was any chance I can add my self to this challenge - might just give me the extra motivation I need to stick to plan.
Thanks0 -

Are you going totally off plan at the weekends and then trying to undo the damage during the week?
You won't like it but it sounds like you need to change what you are eating or drinking at the weekend. Hard I know! Been there with bells on but its worth it. Are you counting your syns? I used to save the majority of my syns for weekend alcohol and a meal out or something like that etc. I could have my gin and one meal out or takeaway every week and still lose but I was super strict during the week. I pretty much gave up wine when I started doing sw and switched to gin as wine puts weight on me - but others here can have it and do so most weekends :rotfl:Not mentioning any names!! Its about finding what works for you, what you can do. The weekend starts tomorrow, so how about you try this weekend and make some changes to what you are normally doing and see what wi next week brings.
Have you got much to lose?0 -

You're very welcome. Lots doing it on their own on here. Just ask if you want to know any syn values or anything else.Fireflyaway wrote: »I'm doing SW and getting so annoyed with myself !! Have you got much to lose?
lantanna's right fireflyaway, you do have to find what works for you. I'm one of the nameless people;) that has wine every weekend. I do it by being strict on syns all the week and saving my syns for weekends. SW is a healthy way of eating for life so it's really important that it can fit into your lifestyle and be sustainable. My group's on a Thursday so I probably eat on plan for 24hours or so before the weekend but it shouldn't be that different to you. If you've got time, why don't you post your menus? Or is it that you have a plan but don't stick to it?
Enjoyed my lunch (at 3.30 p.m). I had a very small JP with cottage cheese and spring onions then a bowl of strawberries with FF yogurt. At last I'm feeling a bit thinner. Stomach bloat seems to be gone, now waiting for the thunder thighs to shrink back. Why is it weight always settles where you least want it?:)
lantanna, I think with EESP you're just meant to have Speed, Protein, HEXs and syns. So no free food and yogurt's a free food. I know some people have a synned yogurt but I'm sure that's cheating and moving back towards EE where you should have the extra HEX.0
