Sell it in home bargains 99p, it is so nice and don't need to make much of it as it goes a long way. I made a little too much tonight but I still ate it all. I have mastered my chips to a fine art , apparently it's all about the drying process! That's from Pinterest too.

Thanks will have to look for it next time i go in. I have made chips but used a sweet potato.

    Quick question

I've made a veggie pasta bolognese, all homemade. Do I need to add extra salad/ vp veg when I serve it up for lunch next week?
    Ingredients below:
    Chopped toms.
    Passata
    Onion
    Carrots
    Courgette
    Mushrooms
    Peppers
    Sweet corn
    Quorn mince

    Served with penne pasta

One thing that did occur to me was should I Syn the apple since it gets cooked? 1 Apple between 6 portions of meatballs.

It probably should be synned (although something like 350g of cooked apple is a HEB,but you probably didn't eat that much),so 100g of cooking apples cooked is 1.5 syns, and 100g of eating apple, cooked,is 2.5 syns.

I knew we would be going out for tea tonight (all-you-can-eat),so I was saving a few syns throughout the week.As it was,I made lots of good-ish choices, but still consumed syns. Not enough that I am worried I have regained my whole 2 month's loss, though :D.

Pre-breakfast snack while cooking breakfast for 8 children : 1 apple,1 fresh apricot

Brunch in peace and quiet :D: bacon, eggs, baked beans.fried tinned potato, tomato

    Snack: a nectarine

    Snack: 2 fresh apricots

Tea:lots of stuff: peri peri chicken with boiled rice, onion rings, dosa (had never seen or heard of them before.I saw a lady with one, asked her what food bar she had got it from-it was lovely, but ,I am sure, not syn free :rotfl:.Probably not even SW-adaptable ).For dessert I had 2 servings of sticky toffee pudding with warm toffee sauce and ice cream.Being restrained, though,I did leave the rice pudding, carrot cake with mounds of frosting, chocolate fudge cake, chocolate fountain, chocolate torte, huge cupcakes, and assorted bite-size desserts :A.

When we got home, feeling like a chocolate hit (),and figuring my body wouldn't notice another 5 syns being snuck in,I had a Breakaway bar (5 syns).
    And that's all :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Have only used a little bit of milk for cups of tea today.

:T to Claire and tigerlily. More good losses!

Claire, officially you can have between 5 and 15 syns a day so the lowest recommended is only 35 a week. That wouldn't be hard to get through! You could have 35 Rolos!!;) It won't do any harm to not have them but I really don't think going without helps and I'd be surprised if you can keep off them indefinitely. SW isn't meant to be a diet after all.

tara, I never have extra veg with Bolognese because like you I fill it with veg anyway. I'd look at your Speed food across the day and only have extra if the other meals look a bit low on Speed. Plus if you're making it with Quorn you might be having a Green day anyway (assuming no meat at other meals) and Speed isn't essential then.

Glad you enjoyed the 'all you can eat' saverupper. You can afford to do it, just get back on plan tomorrow.

I'm feeling thinner tonight than I have in the two weeks since I got back from holiday.:D I don't have scales so clean jeans in the morning will be a bit of a test. Tomorrow I'm supposed to be going on an evening boat trip but the forecast is dreadful so it may be called off. If we don't go then probably no off plan meal. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Thanks Maman, I know that I couldn't keep that up anyway, just last week I wasn't hungry at all. I do have a family birthday this week so I know where my Syns will be going! Thanks for the advice x
We're just happy to have a home, a family and our health. Whatever else is just added and it fits. :)
  • Hi Everyone

I am back - we had no internet following the storm but it is back now!

I wanted to ask a quick question regarding Pinterest if anyone can help. I have always avoided Facebook for some personal reasons. This means I feel I am missing out on some great SW tips that are shared on there. I have joined Pinterest and it looks like there are some fabulous ideas on there. I just wondered if anyone knew how secure it was? I am really not keen on the thought of being contacted via the internet by people I knew from years ago etc. I hope this doesn't make me sound horrid!

Thanks for any advice anyone can offer!

SW wise - I am on track - it was my birthday yesterday so I was out for a meal but I think I made quite good choices - I did have a couple of (well 3!) drinks but I am back to "normal" eating today!

    Have a lovely day all.

    Hiya everyone

Checking in to report 3lb loss this week and I'm really pleased :j

Although I think some of that loss was attributed to not being well and having the two bob bits earlier in the week (rhymes with diarrhea)

A major point for me as that's 3 stone since I started in January.:j
