Well done!! :T Great news to be in the next stone barrier... I can't wait! My first weigh when I joined in last week was bang on the stone.. dying to get on some scales but don't have any!

Wow I admire you getting up at 7am to swim!
Your tea sounds lovely! I love chorizo

Not sure as there's no rice.. think you'd have to add veg etc.

Mmm the BLT sounds nice... I'm always put off because I don't like toamtoe.. but the rest I like :rotfl: I may try it tomorrow. Have you bought the new SW burgers? I just noticed them (from Iceland) ten mins ago while flicking through the magazine.... and damn now you've made me want sweet potato for my tea! Will have to have another gander through this months mag and think of something.

Hope everyones having a good weekend! I went out today with my brother... we ate lunch out in a cafe, and although I was nervous not knowing syns, I think I did okay. I had jacket potato with tuna (mayo - eek!) and salad.

I feel like it was the best option, and it did fill me up... but now how to work out syns for food I don't know the weight etc off? Will the jacket potatoe still be free does anyone know?

Off to find some sweet potato!

Probably for the best that you don't have any scales.

Weighing yourself on different days or even same day different time you will fluctuate in your weight .
Best to weigh same day around same time then your weight will be spot on from week before ;)

Great news re DH's tests Durham. You may be able to relax a little bit now.

This is something else I will add to my 'must try recipes one day' list 1940sGal :rotfl:

Had really nice meal tonight - salmon fillet (smoked with liquid smoke), broccoli, cauli, carrots and new pots. Having a cuppa now with nectarine and have decided to have a small portion of Carte D'or Praline Ice Cream as I have been fairly low syn today - 1tbsp ltl salad cream and a mini milk lolly 1.5 syns. Still got my hexs to have and don't know what to have as I am stuck in a bit of a rut with them atm and I am not really too hungry as we had our evening meal late.

Well done losers - you are all doing a marvellous job. Having missed the last two SW classes I will be facing the scales on Monday night

Good luck on the scales :D

Congratulations on the loss Lois, and well done on the new shiney. Maybe the lady was trying in a very unpolitical way to encourage her husband to lose weight. Sounds like she was a bit rude on all counts!!!

Hope the buffet went okay maman. I also had the e-mail and SP but like you I have not done it so I am not replying either.

    Enjoy your weekend away Denise

Well done on the STS bellkat,

wow Lucy 11lb loss you go girl - that is fantastic.
Oh Tweets I would love not to be a 'fatty bum bum next year' when the schools break up and as for being referred to as a twig - wow go you. Have a great holiday break.

mmm Shala the pastitsio looks scrummy. I fancied making that when I saw it in the magazine. Thanks for the heads up on the sauce and lack of speed veg. Can't believe you got up at 7am on a Saturday to go from a swim - go you - that is commitment. Have fun at the party.

Jediwinner the KFC chicken looks great.

Saverupper enjoy your time off and time for having your meals.

Good loss shrimp and well done on getting below that stone barrier.

Well done on the loss Selement. Sorry not sure about the SP value of the Tikka Masala.

Durham welcome back from your holiday. So glad to hear that DH's test came back all clear. Do they have to do further tests.

1940'sgirl Thanks for the recommendation re the BLT. I love BLT so will need to try this.

Good luck for your weigh in on Monday Beg

Today didn't quite go according to plan as we ended up being out at lunchtime so grabbed a packet of BM cooked chicken and some fruit from a supermarket whilst DH and the boys tucked into hot dogs! So today ended up being:

Breakfast: Mushrooms, tomatoes and fried potatoes
Lunch: chicken, pineapple, melon and strawberries
dinner: Piri piri chicken, with lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, spring onion, raw carrots and sw chips
supper will be finn thins and cheese either babybel or soft cheese for my (heA and B)
    Syns: DG latte (2.5 syns), 3 x pimms and lemonade (75mls 7.5syns)

Not great to have had chicken twice but I was so hungry and it was all I could think off on the spur of the moment to have which was free. Should have got a pack of ham instead now I have written it down lol. Talk about lightbulb moments :p

I predict you wont be a fatty bum bum next year and you will be a twig ;)

I intend to enjoy my holidays with my Poppy she loves me being at home.

For the newbies this is my precious Poppy

Good morning I couldn't wait till mid morning for my WI which is disappointing. Only 1lb loss which gets me back to 2 below 10 stone. 9 .12 sounds much better.i think I would collapse if I lost 2 or more lbs at one go,
But, no such luck. I know they say it's harder to lose when it's nearer the bone !! But, I never lost more than 2 when I started. I won't grumble though 1 is better than none or a gain. Just 12 to go now. Yippee !
I am keeping to green an EE days and maybe do without potatoes the odd day. Keep plodding on everyone I hope you have all done well HUGS x

:T wiz and all other losers!!

tie, PLEASE show the bruises to the Head. I do understand that schools try really hard for inclusion but what you've been through this year really isn't acceptable:A.

Still haven't managed to track down the Sainsbury's Be Good To Yourself Burgers maman - have looked several times but don't think our store must stock them :(.
    b_e_g

I found them hard to find at first because I was looking in chilled foods. They are actually in frozen but may not be available in small stores.

Good result for your team today, maman.

You're right but sickening that our lovely Morgan scored for MUFC:cry:. Sometimes I think my club is like a supermarket! Everyone else around us builds on successful teams but we just sell our brightest and best. This year 3 players, last year 5 players and the manager.

Buffet was OK last night but they'd bought in from M&S. So I had some sandwiches and then cherry toms, strawberries, raspberries, grapes and cherries plus quite a lot of wine syns! Tonight I'm going to have G&T and finish off some wine so that'll keep syns down a bit midge.

Back on plan today. Will post menu later.:)
  • Can I creep in here and join you? I have loads to lose, I daren't even get on the scales to find out how much as I know I will be so :(

I have done slimming world a couple of times before with some success so I think it's about time I started again, I won't be going to group as I can't get to one with work, 3 children etc.etc. is it worth joining online? Also I used to love their cookbooks, does anyone know if it's possible to buy the, through the website if you join up?

Sorry for all the questions, I thought if I joined this group it would give me the motivation I need without attending a group as you can't beat a bit of support, virtual or otherwise :)

Welcome, I have only recently joined this thread - everyone is so lovely and supportive :A
Like you I have attempted Slimming World many times... determined this will be the last time I join and to get this weight off. I have a lot to lose too, 6 stone ideally. But it *IS* do-able and whether you have 11lb or 11 stone to get to where you want to be, everyone is fighting their own battle.

I re-joined last week at a group and as far as I'm aware they don't sell the books online (unless you become an online member perhaps they send them?)
You could always try ebay or amzon. :money:

Happy Sunday guys! Hope you're all having a good weekend. I made a boiled egg bagel for brunch, using a warbutons thin bagel (6 syns) and ketchup instead of butter (1 syn) it turns out really nice and I was surprised how filling it was... not to mention how much it tasted like a mcdonalds breakfast :rotfl:
    img_8663.jpg

I bought some Scan Bran from Holland and Barrat... so I'm going to get my bake on this afternoon! Going to attempt some sort of 'cake'... although what I'm not sure (have no nutella or cadburys options :o) I do however have quark :D so job should be a good 'un.
Soo pleased with myself this week... I'm really embracing the free foods and recipes.. I have *never* done this with SW before... if I am completely honest I ususally vaguely stick to the plan and cut my portions down.

This time I am following it religiously, and it's paying off - I definitely felt a bit slimmer this morning... I can see more of my feet anyway :rotfl:
    Re-starting comping and saving May 2016 :j:money:
