Please share how you do this shala. We love teriyaki chicken - we just marinade the chicken in the teriyaki sauce :D

Just using the teriyaki marinade too, the one from Blue Dragon:D.. it's 2 syns per tbsp.. I add coconut flavouring to the rice when cooking and a bit of lime juice at the end.

Meg you refused because it's too cold

Dogging makes me laugh everytime it's mentioned - on mine and the bfs first official real date we went for food and then went for a drive into the city and were sat in the car watching the river when a couple of white vans pulled up with couples in them :o hasten to add we then left but dogging makes me laugh everytime...

:rotfl::rotfl: I laughed at the cold comment too.. I hope you don't disappear off the forums at night once it's start to get warmer Meg!

You were safe as long as you didn't flash your lights Mildredd.. that's the signal apparently:rotfl:

I imagine Bachelors may have a change of heart on the rice once it realises it's sales have dropped dramatically :rotfl: maybe someone should give them the Alpen man's phone number so he can explain what happens when you change syns/healthy extras!

Lantanna - that dress is beautiful :T oh and I bet the ladder man loved staring at your bum too! ;)

Mich, Beanie - big hugs for you both xx and anyone else who's having a pants time at the moment..

I need to start writing my meals down again, i'm sure i'm over syns today already *sigh*.. off to find me doodle diary!

Smedley – How long have you been doing Slimming World? You do seem incredibly motivated!! There are many difficult times throughout and my enthusiasm throughout the 2 years has waxed and waned!! :o

This is my 5th week now.

Before SW, I was already eating as healthily as I could, but I could not lose a single lb. I thought it was the medications that I was taking at first.

I don't think I am extraordinarily motivated, but I don't put up with excuses from myself, I know I am responsible for what I put into my mouth, the thoughts in my mind, and my actions towards others; I saw that what I was buying and eating was loaded with bad ingredients, something had to change!

I love all different types of food, but didn't know I was able to prepare and cook them until I got some SW books, they just make things child's play :)

As for difficult times, it's all about getting back on the horse after you have fallen. No one is perfect, my motto every day is: "Be the best person you can be today", and that's it, I repeat this every day, and learn and apply from the previous days, "simples!"

I can see SW works even though I eat more than I used to, a few adjustments in diet have changed my life for the better, so I want to infect others with my newly found knowledge.

Does anyone use and believe in affirmations?
Often I say to myself, "I am a fat burning machine, and my body is working towards it's ideal weight". so far it works, and people have commented that my confidence is through the roof, and now I get "Coor", glances from the opposite sex. How magic is that? :j

All I am doing really is giving back to the community, you are a great bunch :T

1lb on for me last night, been some emotional nibbling throughout the week so only have myself to blame.. Found out last night someone very close has passed away so not sure how the next few days are going to go.. Just have to try my best not to fall apart..

Have a good weekend everyone x

So sorry to hear you have had sad news mich. Take care of yourself. x

Thanks for the heads up on the savoury rice. I haven't really used the packs of rice but as far as I was concerned they were free. I wish they would stop messing with things.

Oh lantanna that is gorrrrrrggggggeous. You will look beautiful. Have you sorted accessories yet or are they still work in progress? :D

You made me smile lantanna re going up to the roof. :rotfl: I was just thinking yesterday when I was going up to third floor in hotel (old building and no lift) how much easier I found it this year than I would have last year. When we needed to contact reception I actually volunteered, yes you read that right volunteered to go down. DH now says I 'run' when we go for a wander around town. Well he has mobility problems but his knees are giving him a bit of trouble as well atm so that maybe makes him think I am speeding along. :rotfl:

Must try that rice with the coconut flavouring - I'm sure we have some in the cupboard.

Our meg won't dare have any unexplained absences from us otherwise we will be guessing what she's up too ;) There again she could tell us lot anything :rotfl::rotfl:

    Evening

That dress is lovely Lantanna. Glad you found one :D

Thank you everyone for the comments re boredom. I am usually OK, but this week I have wanted to eat whatever I want (I am blaming the programme about KFC I watched earlier this week!!)

Its not an excuse, and i am certainly not the only one, but I haven't really got time to cook everyday so I usually cook on Sunday for the week and then I get towards the end of the week and I don't want what I have cooked.

I'm off on holiday on Sunday so will have a few days away from SW and I will be back on track on Wednesday, I will be able to do more running during the week when the clocks go forward too as the park will be open for longer.

Weigh-in day tomorrow. Other than yesterday, I have been OK this week, so I am hopeful of a loss :D

Sorry to hear your sad news mich. Thanks for the pics of the rice. I don't eat it often but it's a good standby for a change. I bought a few 'old' packs in HB this afternoon with BB dates of 2017.
Have registered with Monsoon and Laura Ashley for emails so that I can find out when the sales are on. ;)

I have Next and Monsoon in towns next to ours so C&C is good. I would have been more tempted with lemon cardi but this was proper yellow and would have been a bit too much of a step out of the comfort zone atm :rotfl: If dress had been less than the £70 + cardi I would have been tempted to try it in a larger size but as wedding is not until 1st Aug hopefully I will need a smaller one by then anyway but if it had been cheaper would have been happy to buy it as a nice summer dress rather than for the wedding iykwim :rotfl: Sorry for the waffle :rotfl:

Definitely too early to be buying for August yet but keep looking and it's a good idea to be set up for sales/reductions. When I started losing I bought some bright colours from charity shops as I'd been wearing black for years. So then I didn't need to spend much on a size I wasn't going to be in for long and could re-gift it when I was ready. It's a good way to experiment.

I said to the Mothership that we should just be like dogs born with our clothes on and then there wouldn’t be the need for all this changing room / shopping horror!A quick lick behind the ears and we would be set for the day!!!

    Not more dogs!! We're obsessed!:rotfl:

    Love the dress lantanna.:)

Thanks for the thoughts on vegetarians. I must admit I get confused. It seems a wide spectrum and I suppose people do it for different reasons. Hope I didn't offend anyone.

I don't really think about getting bored with our menus. I think my mindset is more that once I've done my meal plan and shopped for it that's a chore out of the way for a week. It's not that I don't enjoy cooking but I really don't enjoy having to think every day about what we'll be having.

I have visited a few cs but so far have haven't had too much luck. Like visiting the ones in posher towns in the hope of finding a bargain. ;) Spotted a beautiful Laura Ashley dress whilst we were away but the damned thing was only a size 14 :D I will keep looking though. Sometimes some of the larger sizes are really old fashioned and not really what I want.

Have had a good day so far

    Breakfast - fruit

Lunch - Pasta n Sauce with tonnes of veggies added and then an apple

Dinner - Roast chicky with SW roasties, cauli, brocolli, carrots and peas and a tiny amount of stuffing and gravy followed by melon

Supper - hea and heb - yet to be decided

Snack - may have to indulge in a little bit of choccie :D
