How much further are you planning to go Jock? A 32 waist is really very slim, but I suppose it depends on how tall you are. My DH is between 32 and 34 (depends on cut which size he has to buy!) and he's pretty slim, but also has a bit of a belly but then he is 6'2". The only way to shift the belly is exercise, things like sit ups and crunches.

I think you're right denise. If I were you jock I'd look at other parts of your body:o as well as your belly before deciding whether to lose more. If you're happy that you could still lose around your face and neck particularly without looking drawn and scrawny then carry on. Another thing I've noticed is that DH's jeans look baggy around the bum if he's too thin, not a good look. I'd also be wary of who it is that's saying 'too thin' to you and why.

Smedley - I'm a 'lunch' person too, and will be facing that challenge now as I'll have less time to prepare it. Before SW a quick lunch would have been a tin of soup and a roll, now the soup will have to be made in advance and the roll depends if I've used an HEB for breakfast. I'll be taking note of all the suggestions, so keep 'em coming peeps!

Beg - Monsoon and Next both sell larger sizes, but only on line, which I find really annoying. I do buy clothes on line but it would be nice to try my size in store as well.
LL :) (sorry lost your quotes LL).

I know soup can be relatively quick to make but I always do mine in the SC so I can forget all about it. And doing a big pot means I can do several meals at a time. If you make a 'big' soup with lots of veg and potatoes too if you want then you may not need the roll. Or you could have crispbread instead and split your HEB across the day.

Click and Collect is a good way of getting to see something in the shop and then ordering in your size. It does mean a bit of money up front (or use CC) but I think it's worth it. I like the dress beg but I'd definitely go for the yellow cardi if you liked it. The last time I bought a white cardi was to go as Janet to Rocky Horror!:rotfl:

    Morning :)

Well I lost 1 lb this week :j:j:j It is my first loss in ages and I didn't really deserve it after the rubbish I have eaten this week :o

D - A variety of syn free meals with a reduction in the amount of meat we are eating

Now I need to think of veggie meals that are quick to prepare and tasty. Often the vegetarian meals I make are cheese heavy :o or feature pastry so I will need to have a good scout about to find new options :)

Good on you for getting back on track rummer.:T I'm not a veggie but we do have small meat portions. I find that provided we have some meat for flavour the quantity can be quite small. One thing I've taken from SP is to have peas or beans with a meal alongside the Speed veg to keep the protein up without a large amount of meat.

I've seen a sausage tray bake recipe in a magazine that looks quite nice so trying it out tonight. Briefly, sausages, new potatoes and asparagus but I'm definitely adding carrots and maybe mushrooms, onions and/or courgettes.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
    L: lentil and veg soup
    D: sausage tray bake
Syns: squirt of syrup, weekend wine:).

No I wasn't! Has the packaging changed so we can tell old stock? I think this means that there's no advantage now in buying Batchelors. I always buy the Golden Vegetable one and that's 1.5 syns in Aldi so Batchelors have a lost a customer. Again!!

I didn't know this either! That is a pain with BBQ season coming up, we often have it as a side dish.

1lb on for me last night, been some emotional nibbling throughout the week so only have myself to blame.. Found out last night someone very close has passed away so not sure how the next few days are going to go.. Just have to try my best not to fall apart..

Have a good weekend everyone x

I'm also 6ft 2, I'm planning on losing another 4lbs, I didn't get weighed this week and I've probably already lost 2 of them. That'd put me at 12st 7lb stone, which is my SW target, I'd like to lose a few more so I can go to weigh in wearing normal clothes as opposed to my light clothes.

I keep losing weight, it just isn't showing on my stomach, it's no doubt nice to lose a bit of weight on your bum and legs, but to be honest I'll be unable to sit down on park benches if my backside loses any more fat, I'll need to carry a cushion everywhere.

I did have nectar points, they were spent on clothes double up last week.

It sounds like you could do with protein to fight off the hunger.
Are you allowed to eat eggs, I know some veggies that just avoid meat, some avoid meat and fish, not sure about dairy though?
If so, frittatas are often served at room temperature, often served at brunches/meetings, so they seem to travel well and would be great to eat on the go...

I'm gonna get technical here, just because it's a pet hate of mine people calling themselves vegetarian and then not actually being vegetarian!

Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, or slaughter byproducts. They do eat dairy and eggs. Vegans don't eat dairy or eggs either.

The people who say they are vegetarian but eat fish are actually semi-vegetarian or I have heard pescetarian.

I don't care what people choose to eat (you can happily chow down on blue steak in front of me and I won't bat an eyelid ;)) but I do want them to specify cos it's people like them that mean I find fish labelled as vegetarian on menus, or me being offered it as a 'veggie' alternative to the meat.

And I will get off my soapbox now :rotfl:

Frittata is a good idea though :D Also rummer if time is an issue - stirfry is nice and quick for an evening meal. I'd recommend some batch cooking though so there's plenty of stuff you can get out of the freezer in the morning and heat up quickly in the evening. On days you can cook then do extra and freeze it.
