I will start:
1. Soup
2. Salad, boiled egg, tomato, mackerel
3. Tomato & onion omelette + Beans
Just trying to inspire others, share tips to make eating exciting :grouphug:
After all, SW it's not a diet, it's some of the tastiest food I've ever eaten; I'm lovin' the varietyand feeling healthier, want to give everyone the same feel-good infection.
SW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb0 -
Glad you're back safe and sound lois. Hopefully the weather will pick up for you (and us) very soon.
Pleased you had a good break too beg.
crabapple, I like this recipe
http://group.slimmingworld.com/recipes/szechuan-beef.aspx
I suppose it's a variation a stir fry but it's very tasty. I always add extra veg (mushrooms and beansprouts) but then I would!;)
Thanks for the browsing history info. Goodness knows what I'll be getting up to next. This thread is leading me astray.
Hope you're OK beanie.:A0 -
Question:
What are your favourite, tastiest, time saving light dinners (12:00-13-00)?

That's lunch where I come from.;):rotfl:
I'd add:- any sort of omelette/frittata. I use a lot of mushrooms and spring onions as well as tomatoes
- jacket potatoes (my favourite is cottage cheese with spring onion and beetroot)
- leftovers! when I cook veg for dinner I always try and keep some for the next day and fry them up with some cold meat and pickles. I eat lots of beetroot, pickled shallots, cornichons and pickled cabbage. tinned potatoes are good for slicing and frying. I make casserole recipes for 4 but meat for 2 so the LO are like 'big soup'.
In today's magazine there are 'syn swaps' showing low syn things you could have for lunch if you need to buy something out. They aren't necessarily things I'd eat but good ideas for someone.0 -

Morning everyone. Well done to penny on your loss :T
Big hugs to beanie, hope you are okay and you can draw that line
Glad you're feeling more positive and have found a lovely dress lantannaAll I know is that my Mam adds Marmite or similar to give Quorn some taste (cooks tip)
EDIT
Just found this on the Quorn site, maybe there are more:
http://www.quorn.co.uk/recipes/vegetarian-beef-teriyaki/
You could adapt this
Thanks for that link, there's quite a few nice sounding recipes on there - looks like for anything I fancy (and don't already cook) it would mostly be a question of swapping the oil for frylight.
Thanks to the others who gave ideas. I keep looking to expand my repertoire! Tonight though I fancy stuffed peppers with salad so that is what I'll cook up this afternoon.Done..
Jeez don't use that word in here tonight.. not with these lot!
You can do InPrivate browsing mamanit opens a private box as a separate browser.. some fella told me about it at work. I won't tell you what he was explaining he used it for :p
Think it was Ctrl, Shift and P at the same time..
Well weigh in for me and I've lost 1.5lbs of my 5lb gain.. for some reason the whole theory of "if it goes on quick, it comes off quick" hasn't worked for me this time, so I expect it'll take a fair few weeks for me to get back to the weight I was
Got the new magazine and quite fancy a lot of the recipes this issue so I might follow the 7 day plan next week (except the salmon recipe) and see what happens.
Off to bed to read the mag and stay away from you dirty lot.. x
ohh lantanna, it was in the paper that the midwives have apparently been told not to have holidays in oct/nov due to the 50 Shades "influence" leading to a baby boom :rotfl: don't know how true that is though!
Well done on your loss even though you haven't shifted all the gain yet, it's coming off so that's great
I think the 50 shades thing was a joke meme on facebook, or at least I saw it in a load of baby groups I'm in a couple of months ago when the film came out. Seems like suddenly the papers are making a story of it.
Cannot believe all of you giving hints to maman as though she wants to google all these things :rotfl::heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Aw beanie sending massive hugs. Hopefully things will settle down for you soon and you can get back it. Take care of yourself.Lost 2 lbs. Last couple of weeks have not been good as I tried hard and gained 1.5 lbs.
Fingers crossed penny that all your hard work is starting to show results. At times the losses can be a complete mystery.

Well I've realised my 34 jeans are now also looking like clown pants, this is costing me a fortune. Sainsbury's have a 25% off next week so I guess I'm shopping again.
I'm getting a lot of "too thin" comments, I don't see it myself as I've still got a fair way to go and still have a belly. I think they mean "not as fat as I once was"0 -
Glad you're home safe Lois
I fancied trying the steak strips crabapple, what texture do they have? i fancy using them in a wrap for steak fajitas :drool:Cannot believe all of you giving hints to maman as though she wants to google all these things :rotfl::D
Beanie - big hugs, hope the issues have eased a little and you can get back on track x

Morning all
Looks as though its going to be a lovely day here - feels nice and 'fresh' and bright and sunny. Yesterday morning when I peeped out of the hotel blinds it was snowing  By the time we were leaving after brekkie it had turned to light rain and then in a couple of hours it had dried up and turned out quite pleasant albeit cool. First lot of washing on line and second is in progress - where the heck does it all come from :rotfl:
Looking forward to seeing your dress lantanna. I tried this one on in Monsoon. It was way to snug around the midriff but if the wedding we are going to wasn't too far away I think some shapewear may have helped. I squeezed into an 18 and the lady in the shop offered to get the next one up - yes they went up to 22 but they didnt have them in stock. I cannot help when looking for clothes I automatically go to the back of the rail for the largest size. :rotfl: Thankfully on some occasions I am having to start and move forward a bit.Would have definitely needed something to cover the old saggy baggy arms with this dress. Tried a lovely yellowy cardi on with it but as nice as it was I think I would have plumped for white cardi/shrug/short jacket. Oh well ..... this time last year going into Monsoon, trying something on in an 18 would only have been a dream.
As mad as this may sound, as much as I have enjoyed my naughty food whilst away, I think I am looking forward to getting back on track - have I gone mad :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone.

How much further are you planning to go Jock? A 32 waist is really very slim, but I suppose it depends on how tall you are. My DH is between 32 and 34 (depends on cut which size he has to buy!) and he's pretty slim, but also has a bit of a belly but then he is 6'2". The only way to shift the belly is exercise, things like sit ups and crunches.
Well it's back to EE today:
B - overnight oats with raspberries; banana
L - ham salad, beetroot (if I can get the new jar open, LOL!); cornichons & HM onion chutney (syn free).
D - liver, bacon, mash & green beans. Would usually have onions as well but we'll be away in the van so tend only to have fried onions when we can cook outside:rotfl:
HEA - milk
HEB - porridge
Syns - weekend wine:D
Have a good weekend everyone.
