Beg - Monsoon and Next both sell larger sizes, but only on line, which I find really annoying. I do buy clothes on line but it would be nice to try my size in store as well.

I think I had stumbled upon the Next Plus range by accident a while ago and I didn't realise Monsoon did up to 22s. Have registered with Monsoon and Laura Ashley for emails so that I can find out when the sales are on. ;)

    Morning :)

Well I lost 1 lb this week :j:j:j It is my first loss in ages and I didn't really deserve it after the rubbish I have eaten this week :o

    Nice one Rummer :T

LL :) (sorry lost your quotes LL).

Click and Collect is a good way of getting to see something in the shop and then ordering in your size. It does mean a bit of money up front (or use CC) but I think it's worth it. I like the dress beg but I'd definitely go for the yellow cardi if you liked it. The last time I bought a white cardi was to go as Janet to Rocky Horror!:rotfl:

I have Next and Monsoon in towns next to ours so C&C is good. I would have been more tempted with lemon cardi but this was proper yellow and would have been a bit too much of a step out of the comfort zone atm :rotfl: If dress had been less than the £70 + cardi I would have been tempted to try it in a larger size but as wedding is not until 1st Aug hopefully I will need a smaller one by then anyway but if it had been cheaper would have been happy to buy it as a nice summer dress rather than for the wedding iykwim :rotfl: Sorry for the waffle :rotfl:

Really need to get bum off sofa and get a wiggle on as I have sat a bit too long now. Will catch up with other posts later.

The savoury rice was always a fail safe for bbq season and picnic season actually as well it's quite nice cold xxx

Meg you refused because it's too cold

Dogging makes me laugh everytime it's mentioned - on mine and the bfs first official real date we went for food and then went for a drive into the city and were sat in the car watching the river when a couple of white vans pulled up with couples in them :o hasten to add we then left but dogging makes me laugh everytime...

Veggies make me laugh well ones who have blurred lines on what they actually are - a veggy who eats bacon when hungover - a veggy who uses chicken stock as it's nicer in soups etc
Be whatever you want but don't blur the lines and don't try and make me be one

I'm also 6ft 2, I'm planning on losing another 4lbs, I didn't get weighed this week and I've probably already lost 2 of them. That'd put me at 12st 7lb stone, which is my SW target, I'd like to lose a few more so I can go to weigh in wearing normal clothes as opposed to my light clothes.

I keep losing weight, it just isn't showing on my stomach, it's no doubt nice to lose a bit of weight on your bum and legs, but to be honest I'll be unable to sit down on park benches if my backside loses any more fat, I'll need to carry a cushion everywhere.

I did have nectar points, they were spent on clothes double up last week.

I am struggling with sitting down jock never known seats to be so uncomfortable :( I have 3 and half lbs to go then I am at the goal I set myself then I will be 11st 7lbs and I am 5ft 9 tall :)
  • Crabapple - very well said! I've been veggie for coming up to 25 years now and it annoys the hell out of me when fish is offered as an alternative. I'm happy for people to eat fish / meat / whatever they like as it's totally their business, but anyone who eats fish is not vegetarian end of!

I'm gonna get technical here, just because it's a pet hate of mine people calling themselves vegetarian and then not actually being vegetarian!

Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, or slaughter byproducts. They do eat dairy and eggs. Vegans don't eat dairy or eggs either.

The people who say they are vegetarian but eat fish are actually semi-vegetarian or I have heard pescetarian.

Thank you for enlightening me to the differences between vegetarians & vegans.

Although NUTS aren't very filling, they are full of energy which might help a bit!
    e.g. plain cashew nuts 25g (5 Syn) .
    I pre-pack nuts to take out in "Polylina SMALL Re-Sealable Snack Bags" - Approx. size: (W) 165mm x (D) 82.5mm or [(W) 6 1⁄2in x (D) 3 1⁄4in)]
    Link: http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/tesco-price-comparison/Bags_Foils_And_Wraps/Poly_Lina_Resealable_Snack_Bags_100.html
They are an ideal small size for portion control size

You could also take out boiled eggs, they are delicious with a single drop of this "Maggi Liquid Seasoning" per/bite.

I think the biggest problem is keeping Veggie items fresh, maybe a cup-a-soup
or flask of soup (perfect for summer days, lol), or whole grain sandwiches.
I will see if I can think of anything else with protein which you could take out and eat at lunch.

Do you have a microwave available when you are away from home daily?
Jacket potatoes could be suitable, but I fear you have thought of that already.

It must be difficult getting variety in your diet.

Tweets – Please give Poppy a pat from me, my mum was looking after a neighbours dog last week and it was called Poppy as well and was lovely!! :)
Smedley – How long have you been doing Slimming World? You do seem incredibly motivated!! There are many difficult times throughout and my enthusiasm throughout the 2 years has waxed and waned!! :o
Well done with your loss Candy Apple!! I love a 3 lber it’s a great feeling!
I said to the Mothership that we should just be like dogs born with our clothes on and then there wouldn’t be the need for all this changing room / shopping horror! A quick lick behind the ears and we would be set for the day!!! Much like Poppy Tweets!
Beanie, whatever is happening I hope it passes soon for you!

In other news, I was on the roof of a factory earlier, now I’ll not say I sprang up the rungs of the ladder like a rat up a drain pipe:rotfl: but it would have all been much more difficult nearly 7 stone heavier!! Also I was fully aware that whilst climbing the rungs my backside was in the face of the man behind me and heck whatever size the shops would like to call it its not the big derriere he would have gotten in his face two years ago !! lol

32bin2013 I totally get the boredom!! It’s the thinking about food and the planning that I get bored with sometimes! It can all become a little too much and then things come along and life can get in the way and that's when things can slide!! I know Mildredd feels the same at times!! It would just be nice not to have to think about it that’s all and do a bit of mindless eating sometimes! Oh it is what it is I guess!! That’s part of what makes it a challenge and difficult at times !
Greentiger I definetley will not be looking at dress making patterns if that is the case!! Thanks for the heads up there!! :rotfl: I not of stable mind to cope with that !!
Durham-mim, how kind of them to point out your features!!! Its bizarre family think they can just say what they like!! I got asked what was it I would like to do with my boobs the other night, its not like you can just cut them off, you have them and you just have to present them nicely I was told.:rotfl: Wise words I guess.
I’m glad you said about the Coast dress it was a Coast dress I had on in Hobbs that I was actually bursting out of when the tears started !! lol Never going to Coast again!:mad:
I don’t understand why anyone would go dogging or want to be dogged or whatever the correct terminology is !! But that’s just me!! :A
Pscyopathbabble – step away from that Egg, I repeat step away from that Egg!!
Nope Lois that’s just the Burger shocking isn’t it!!
Rummer I’m the same have to eat more at lunch or when I get home I could eat the whole kitchen!!
Pammy60 – Thanks, I no I have a difficult shape to dress in a dress I am a separates person, but there are just some occasions that require a dress and no getting away from that sadly!!! Also I’ve worked hard I’ve been good, I feel I deserve to be able to wear a dress and feel good in it but its not that easy as we all now!! Its just annoying you lose all this weight and your still not how you would want to be its depressing that's all!! Anyway I have gotten sorted now!! :)
Jocks – You do what you want to do, you’ll work out when you’ve had enough and your there although prepare for it to take you a while and you may mess around with trying and staying at different weights until you find that right weight for you!! Been there buddy so no exactly what it is like and only you and you alone can decide where is right for you! :T
So we have stripping steak on here now!! What on earth next!!
I like that dress BEG and agree a yellow cardi would be lovely with it!!
Sorry for such a long post!! So much to catch up on!! Anyway I am off home to relax, I need a relaxing weekend and the gallbladder is niggling away here so I’m not certain it is going to behave!! I really need to get some downtime this weekend and do a few things about the house so that is all that I am doing! I’m certain I’ll have a better week next week I think I’ve had enough this week to put with for a while lol :rotfl:
Sorry for your news Mich : ( Just be kind to yourself right now.
Enjoy your weekend wine Maman, Denise & any other samplers!!
I’m not a fan of Savoury Rice or Pasta nd Sauce at all so if they were now 50 syns I wouldn’t care less lol :rotfl:
Mildredd don’t lie you knew fine rightly what you were up to that night in the Car park you Monkey!! ;)
Thanks Matron! It is discounted at the minute so was pleased at £63 was not bad at all!
