Weighed in this morning. It's been 6 days minus Saturday when I ate too many syns. So effectively, 5 days following the plan.

    And I lost 4lb :j I'm gobsmacked, lol.

And some better news, my doctor tells me all my tests suggest I'm not diabetic, I'm pre diabetic....so if I loose the weight I will loose the pre. Very determined now :D

Brilliant news and a fantastic loss. well done.

Checking in with a loss of 2.5lb this week

    Great losses tara and mirry!:T

And that's brilliant news about the 'non' diabetes mirry. So what's the current advice about what you eat? Is it just lose weight or are there still things to avoid?

Maman - how much mince do you use to make 10 portions of Bolognese? I generally get 4 portions out of a 450g pack, although DH eats twice as much as me so in real terms that could be deemed to be 6 portions! :rotfl:
    LL :)

For us, a portion is two heaped tablespoons of sauce (that's big serving spoons). I've bought some of those wide rimmed bowls (like they use in gastropubs) and they really help make you feel you've got a big plateful although I do use a spaghetti measure so no cutting back there.

    Bowls are similar to these
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wide-Rimmed-Cereal-Pasta-30cm/dp/B004BABVQW
    but mine came from Wilkos.

I use 500g mince, 2 tins of chopped toms, courgette, mushrooms, onions, peppers, diced carrots plus all the usual herbs, squirt of tomato puree and a beef stock cube. I think that makes it good enough for EE. Like meg, I freeze it in those flat plastic boxes which are great for two portions.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, scrambled eggs, HEA milk
    L: LO meat and veg
D: gammon, new potatoes, cabbage and carrots
Syns: squirt of HP (and anything I don't resist at dance class party)

Maman, I have to avoid refined sugars, and eat wholemeal/brown versions, because after I eat my sugars go sky high. It's glucose intolerance (which is what happens before you go on to develop full diabetis). I'm so pleased because a week ago my doctor told me I am diabetic.

Right some questions playing on my mind.....

Am I allowed baby corn & sugar snap peas, whilst on extra easy?

And where can I find muller lights on a good offer atm?
    Kindness costs nothing :)

Yes fruit salad freezes well, I do it all the time especially when I get it reduced lol I paid full price for mine this week.

I use photo bucket for my pics once uploaded you then click on a link to send it here cant remember off hand which one but will look it up for you.

Got it when you have uploaded you click on the pic you want then where it says share link scroll down to IMG and click on it it will then say copied, go back to MSE and right click to paste your pic, it will just show the link but don't worry the pic will come up in your post.

Thanks meg, I used to put photos on here years ago but have completely forgotten how :o.

I'm making a huge effort to buy reduced as much as I can after george osbourne scrapped the maintanance grant for uni students, the exact year my daughters due to go .

So I'm making a huge effort in finding reduced fruit, veg, salad, meat. I was wondering if anyone knows a way to make a fry light? this week I fried with water, and there wasn't much difference except my eggs stuck slightly, lol.

Baby corn and sugar snaps are both speed food, so very good for EE.

Muller lights are currently on offer in Morrison's - 10 for £3.
