I'm determined to have a good day today:).
One of the (many:o) things we ate and enjoyed for lunch on holiday were wraps. I remember someone saying that there used to be wraps as a HEB. Can anyone recommend one to try?
I've done all my holiday washing so today I'm tackling the ironing mountain. Has to be some Body Magic in there!;) I'm also going to make a SC of Bolognese as I used the last this week.
Tonight we're having the last Tesco BBQ pork from the freezerso after that I'll probably have to make my own. While I cook almost everything from scratch, it is convenient to have some easy meals. I'm delighted with the Sainsbury quarter pounder burgers. Any more ideas for easy stuff?
Today's plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk
L: ham, fried potatoes and veg (spring onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes)Tesco pork, patatas bravas, mushrooms, tomatoes
Syns: scrape of spread, weekend wine:j

No weigh in for me this week. I went out for drinks with work last night and had too much and was quite poorly so did not attend my slimming world class. Whoops!Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0

Hello everyone
Welcome to the thread mirry, apologises that I missed your posts. I hope that you will soon gain greater clarity about your diagnosis.
I love your hair shala. I hope it feels as fabulous as it looks.
I hope that you soon feel better selement, I hope that you had fun after feeling poorly today.
I just thought that I would post a quick update, my friend couldn't make the class which put me off a little but I went anyway. To tell you the truth I was frightened as hell but I needn't have been as everyone was so lovely and as I walked in my consultant ran up to me and gave me a lovely warm welcome and the weigh in lady came up to chat with me which immeadiately put me more at ease.
The new members talk was great and very informative. I stayed for the class and it was wonderful because I saw some people get their awards of 6 stone, 4.5 stone and a lady who joined two weeks ago got her 1/2 stone award.
I have to admit I was absolutely gutted to get on the scales, I am 1.5 stone heavier than my worst case scenario. I spoke to my friend and she said that yesterday is the last time I am going to see those numbers and I realised that I will get 3 more stickies (don't think we are allowed to call them this now are we?) awards / certificates than expected. I got a very long way to go but I know that I will get there.
I just wanted to say thank you to all of you - it is wonderful to find a safe space for losing weight with SW.

They should me the results of their diagnostics but they said they couldn't discover the root of the problem. They gave me the results of their diagnostic analysis and advised going to the dealer as fixing was beyond their scope. I went to the dealership and they gave me the same results as the local place, so I have to accept that as accurate. They were able to tell me that the air conditioning clutch (didn't know such a part existed, but I've googled it and it does!) was deceased. They are ordering the part in, so summer will be over by the time I get it fitted, lol.
What make of car is it please? Ours is not working on the Shogun, need to know why before getting it regassed.
WI with 1.6lb loss so that's last weeks gain. so the pattern is gains happen the week after the bad week. So next week will probably be massive as several off plans have happened this week.
Monday was my 30th anniversary so went to House of Tiago Brazillian restaurant, so lots of potato salad, coleslaw, cheese and meat as it was eat all you can!!
Last night was staff end of term night out so had pulled pork but was very wet so some sort of sauce in it. Also Fries, potato salad and slaw as well as ice cream.
Today we are celebrating hubby's birthday (yesterday but I was out) so posh dogs from m&s with birthday cake after. Hubby had vouchers so we splashed out on posh stuff :rotfl:
Tomorrow will be pulled pork and slaw to compensate
Do think I deserve to binge as had week from hell with his nibs! Ended with him slapping the teacher across face  can't wait for end of term but still week and bit to goIts not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

sugar is a lot heavier than sweetener, I think I read somewhere that people use the same volume rather than weight?
Your menu looks fab today, are you cutting down on carbs? You're not far off an SP day
Thanks, Shala, must investigate more re sweetener v sugar.
I’m not trying to cut down on carbs; it’s just the way things have worked out with me trying not to waste so much food, so not shopping so often.
TIE, I have a Ford Focus. Yours is probably just needing recharged. Don’t know how you’d find out without taking it in; they automatically do the checks, I think, anyway.
Great loss, TIE

Much later – Pride comes before a fall!
Well my menu lasted until DH came home from bowling with a curry and naan bread for us. At least he knows only to get one between the two of us! And this time he don’t buy pakora as well, so that’s a step in the right direction. It was delicious, btw. Apart from that I stuck with the plan! He’s out all day again tomorrow, but it’s a home tie and there are no take aways in the village, so I should be safe from temptation!
Sunday
Breakfast: hexb muesli, apple
Lunch: mug shot, orange, Activia 0% fat raspberry yogurt
Dinner: the fish I’d planned for today!!!!!
Snacks: SpecialK cracker crisps (4½ syns), KitKat (5 syns), cheese & grapesSewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
I have gone completely off plan today. Went up to Harrogate to see a friend, had an ice cream cone (which wasn't so bad and probably still within my syns) but then came home to some bad/anger inducing news and on top of that I am have come down with a cold, felt absolute pants all day coughing and spluttering and also bad with hayfever. So by about 6pm I just gave up on today and thought 'to hell with it'.
Completely blew my syn count and now I'm in bed, still feeling pants, all bunged up and full of regret.
Chances are I won't be going to SW this week anyway, I don't want to spread my lurgy.
I certainly hope you lovely folk are having a much better weekend than me!0 -
1940sgal - sorry to hear your baking wasn't successful. If you want to bake and have the willpower to not eat it I'd use the ingredients you normally use. I know I wouldn't resist! In fact whenever DH suggests I do some baking, my response is 'but we'll only eat it', at which he cracks up. My theory is that if we really want a baked treat we can buy one each, count the syns and not too much damage is done, but if we eat a whole cake or batch of scones, it's very damaging.
If I was the religious sort I'd consider this sinful! Baking and not getting any myself?! :rotfl: Not a chance. Mainly because I do not have that special skill that is will power!0 -

Fingers crossed for a loss tomorrow wiz. Looking at your menu, you have 2 HEBs but (because of the bacon and beef) it can't be Green so you'll have to syn one of them for EE.
I've had a good day today, stuck to plan but feeling fatter than I did before.I'm sure it'll balance out and probably because I have most of my syns at weekend. Meanwhile I'll do a Beanie and keep plodding.
Glad you enjoyed your curry greentiger. Out of curiosity, why do you think your DH brings synful foods home if he knows you're doing SW?
Hope your cold clears up soon 1940sgal. I do understand the s*d it response to bad news but do try to get back on plan even if you won't be going to WI this week. Just because one day's gone haywire it's best not to write the week off.0 -
