Saver-upper - hope you enjoyed your pork roll, that would be my idea of hell, I can't bear any fat on meat and dissect every visible bit of fat if I have bacon.
LL
Well,it was alright.Like I say,I wasn't expecting much more than a pork roll.I was surprised how many pieces of fat I was pulling out and setting aside, but Googling it last night,it seems that is the whole point of porchetta:very fatty meat, stuffing, fat, skin all rolled together .Wikipedia tells us that it is considered a celebratory dish in Italy,as well as being "one of a list of traditional Italian foods held to have cultural relevance".I had never heard of it until yesterday.
Today's menu(so sparse, you would think it was a working day for me):
Breakfast: 2 slices wholemeal toast with Flora light (1 syn),marmite
Morning :2 coffees=2 teaspoon sugar (2 syns)
Lunch on the hoof: handful of cherry tomatoes,1/2 a yellow pepper, mini sweetcorn pieces
Tea: a jacket potato with egg mayo (1syn),bacon,1 tab sweet chilli sauce (1.5syns),2 tab creme fraiche (1syn),
bowl of cherries
Snack: 1 Hifi bar (3 syns)SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Morning :wave:Shala - your hair looks lovely. Are hair extensions any trouble, do you wash and style your hair like it was all your own?
Thanks Lois, it's a lot of maintenance i believebut i'm sure once i get used to it it'll be easier, I haven't washed it yet to find out. You have to wash and dry it a certain way but styling is the same, and compared to my shorter hair i imagine it'll take forever to dry :rotfl: I'm definitely having a couple of inches took off though, so that'll make it easier to handle.
While I cook almost everything from scratch, it is convenient to have some easy meals. I'm delighted with the Sainsbury quarter pounder burgers. Any more ideas for easy stuff?
Sorry maman, i'm like you i usually cook from scratch, the only thing i do pick up occasionally is the SW burgers or SW Chicken tikka meal (If you add some veg into it then it's enough for 2 with rice)
Hope you're feeling better today selement
I'm so glad you enjoyed it Lucy and :T for stepping out your comfort zone and going for itThere's no going back now, you're one of us
:rotfl:
Sounds like you've enjoyed your food week TIE!and happy 30th :T:T
Early start for me today.. not sure what to do with myself today, it's raining loads here so can't go out really and all the cleaning and washing is done, might venture up the gym later maybe..
Red day today..
B - banana, toast (heb)
L - frittata(hea), pickles, salad
T - pulled pork, jacket (heb) corn, salad, stand tortilla (4)
S - milk (hea)
We didn't have the frittata for tea last night as we had a late lunch so OH went to the pub without eatingi had a wrap for a pizza base instead
and he stuffed his face with bread, crisps and cake when he got home
i did go for a walk to burn off some of my naughtiness so hopefully it won't be too much damage on the scale. I totted it up on MFP just to check and i was 8 calories over my daily allowance :rotfl:

Morning
The weather is miserable this morning and it's been quiet so far in the shop - everyone's waiting for the rain to stop!
Maman - re your question about wraps, I buy Mission Bakery wholemeal wraps and count one as an HEB. They're not on any lists that I've seen but they're about 60g each and wholemeal so should be ok.
1940sgal - hope everything's ok and you've managed to put the blip behind you and get back on plan. Take care of yourself, it's miserable having a cold.
TIE - I bet you're glad term is nearly over. Just googled posh dogs from M&S and now my mouth is watering! :rotfl:
Have a good day everyone.

Well I lost 1lb not bad considering,, I know I didn't eat all that I should because of the warm weather, it makes me feel sick.
Maman, I realised after I had posted. The sandwich should have been 6 syns not B and I have crossed out my crisps. Making it an E E day. Thanks for pointing it out, I know I can rely on you.0 -

That's another pound in the right direction wiz, well done!:T
So glad you didn't mind me pointing out the HEBs. You're still going to have tiny portions of beef and bacon though to make up one HEB between them.
I've just put 10 portions of Bolognese in the freezer so that'll see us OK for a few weeks. Tomorrow I'm going to cook a gammon joint and make soup . It's hardly the weather for it but I love lentil soup made with the stock and just can't bring myself to discard it.
Thanks for the wrap ideas. Can I ask if you freeze them or eat the whole pack quickly? It's not something I've ever bought.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, 2 fried eggs
L: strawberries and ham (both need eating up)roast pork, carrots, red cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, roast potatoes
Syns: squirt of HP, gravy, weekend wine.0 -

The ones I buy are long life so I re-wrap the pack tightly and then wrap again in cling film. You can freeze them successfully too.

Well done, wizkid and shrimpy.
why do you think your DH brings synful foods home if he knows you're doing SW
Combination of things, maman
- he knows what I really enjoy
- it’s his way of giving me a night off from cooking, especially when he’s been out all day
- he thinks I deserve a reward for ‘trying hard’ with SW
- and I don’t protest enough!
Well, I’ve been a good girl today. I had asparagus instead of cauliflower and I had a hm meringue half (2½ syns )with strawberries and 3% fat crème fraiche (? Syns). I’ve had a KitKat (5 syns). Later I will have grapes and a couple of hexa mini babybel. Hope that makes up for yesterday’s indiscretions.

I always freeze them, they defrost really quickly and don't go soggy like rolls sometimes do
We tried the new old El Paso stand tortillas/wraps today, 4 syns for one. They're like little boat shapes and you fill it up with your meat and veggies. They were lovely
Well done Wiz, I think you're at 21 lbs now so congrats on your 1.5 stone award (even though you don't go to class) :T:T
