Hope your cold clears up soon 1940sgal. I do understand the s*d it response to bad news but do try to get back on plan even if you won't be going to WI this week. Just because one day's gone haywire it's best not to write the week off.

    Thanks :o

I did get back on plan today, though feeling worse than I did yesterday so haven't had a massive amount to eat, haven't felt too hungry but I what I did have I made sure were speed foods with some protein mixed in.

Ended the day with only 2 syns which were a cheese triangle and some BBQ sauce.

why do you think your DH brings synful foods home if he knows you're doing SW

    Combination of things, maman
    - he knows what I really enjoy
    - it’s his way of giving me a night off from cooking, especially when he’s been out all day
    - he thinks I deserve a reward for ‘trying hard’ with SW
    - and I don’t protest enough!

Thanks for that. My DH can be similar. He's a star making my breakfast every day and although I've more or less trained him in SW he can slip up like the pancakes we had the other morning. And he offers to get a take away or go out to save me cooking.

I always freeze them, they defrost really quickly and don't go soggy like rolls sometimes do :D

Well done Wiz, I think you're at 21 lbs now so congrats on your 1.5 stone award (even though you don't go to class ;)) :T:T

Thanks for all the wrap tips. I will buy some when I'm out and about but at the moment I'm feeling so fat I don't need any extra syns. It's always the same on Sunday evenings but will hopefully settle down.

:T that's brilliant wiz. How much more do you hope to lose?

Sorry to hear you're still feeling rough but well done on clawing back some syns.

I'm hoping for a reasonable week. Tomorrow's the end of term at my dance class which means nibbles but I'm going to eat before I go and take some SW friendly stuff with me. Tuesday I'm out for lunch but then I think I'm OK until next Saturday.

    Onwards and downwards everyone!!

Had a fairly good weekend synwise for a change! Haven't gone far over the syns and still have 12-13 syns a day for today until Wednesday which is probably double what I usually have left after the weekend!

Have had to change my plan for breakfast this morning (had planned beans on toast) but no bread!

    Having an EE day today:

    B - bacon, egg & mushrooms
L - smoked salmon & crabsticks with salad - lettuce, cucumber, tomato, pepper, spring onions, cornichons, beetroot. Won't be having any more rocket as the weekend's warm weather/lack of watering means the rocket has all gone to seed.
D - LO roast chicken, roast carrots, courgette, onions & potatoes. Will also have a green veg of some kind from the freezer

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - Ryvita & butter this evening
    Syns - 1 Tbs butter 5.5; fruit split lolly 3; splash of gravy 1 = 9.5

    Morning :)

It's dreich here again (our Scottish friends will understand :D) but DH is convinced it's going to improve enough for him to play golf. It might be his last game until September so fingers crossed for him.

The weekend went a bit awry syns wise - suffice to say a scone, jam and clotted cream were involved, so Day One today. I'm going to keep the syns to the minimum between now and WI day to even it out.

Started the day with my usual fruit and yogurt - plum, apricot, orange and half a banana, so plenty of speed food. If DH plays golf I'll be left to my own devices for lunch, and I'm thinking I quite fancy poached or boiled eggs and HEB toast - not sure what speed food would go with that but another piece of fruit afterwards might be the answer.

Well done Tarab , Wiz, Shrimpy and everyone who has lost this week.

Maman - how much mince do you use to make 10 portions of Bolognese? I generally get 4 portions out of a 450g pack, although DH eats twice as much as me so in real terms that could be deemed to be 6 portions! :rotfl:

Have a good day everyone, try to stay dry and don't let the gremlins grind you down.

weather dire so having a play in the kitchen, decided to do fruit salad for the freezer. I used one melon, two peaches , two nectarines and raspberries out of the garden total cost 1.45 and made eight portions so approximately 18p a portion, pleased with that.

Weighed in this morning. It's been 6 days minus Saturday when I ate too many syns. So effectively, 5 days following the plan.

    And I lost 4lb :j I'm gobsmacked, lol.

And some better news, my doctor tells me all my tests suggest I'm not diabetic, I'm pre diabetic....so if I loose the weight I will loose the pre. Very determined now :D
    Kindness costs nothing :)
