A few more questions for you lovely people....

Do I have to take my allowances?

It's just yesterday I never had a b choice or my syns.
Today, I've only had 4 syns.

    Is this ok?

Mirry - you really should try to have your syns. It certainly doesn't help your weight loss not to have them.

The plan is: 1 HEA; 1 HEB; and 5-15 syns EVERY day.

It won't be a problem not to have your full 15 syns a day but you definitely should try to have them at the start. It is an area you can cut back on if you find your weight plateauing.

it's just I don't know what to use the syns on, I'm doing the diabetic version, so low carb, no sugar. I suppose I could have extra milk?

Lush, some folks are just not worth giving the time of day! Poor you.

Another decent SW day for me, woo hoo. I didn’t have my wine gums, but had a KitKat instead (1 more syn). I had made strawberry & gooseberry jam and I had that (2 syns) on a (normal) slice of wholemeal bread (4 syns). Later I’ll have my hexa cheese and grapes. Total: 11 syns

    Friday
Breakfast: bacon & part hexa dairylea light hexb sandwich, orange
Lunch: baked potato, with tuna mayo (1 syn), salad stuff, Activia 0% fat yogurt
Dinner: stir fried veg (whatever I find) with rice
Snacks: 25g wine gums (4 syns), Special K Cracker crisps (4½ syns), chocolate digestive (4 syns) and remainder of hexa as either milk or cheese

    Bring it on!

I'm no expert on diabetes mirry but I'm sure we have a few on here that can offer better advice. I've had a quick look on the website and it's suggesting carbs and pulses are OK so I'm a bit confused.

denise is right though and you should try and have your HEAs, HEBs and syns. It wont hurt to miss HEXs occasionally but for balanced, healthy eating you should have them regularly. The same with syns, they're built into the plan so don't go without. What about something like stewed fruit and custard? That would be HEA, HEB and syns all in one go! Or a milky coffee or cheese? If you think back to how you put the weight on in the first place, there must be something that you'd enjoy as syns.

Thanks for all your good wishes.:) I've had a good day today. Syn free except that I may have gone over a bit on HEA as I had a tbsp. of Parmesan as well as milk with cereal and teas. I don't make a habit of it (and it's unofficial so don't copy me:o) but I'll ignore that as when I have wine syns at weekend and get some eggs in tomorrow I'll have less than a HEA so it'll balance out. I've done my meal plan for the coming week. Just one meal off plan in the diary so far and the rest I'm going to be back in control (feels good;)). I'll need to buy in loads of fresh stuff but all meat will be from the freezer so should keep costs down after two weeks of spending.

Have a great weekend at the caravan lush and try and forget that obnoxious character for a bit. I'd suggest you talk to your manager about his 'complaint'. Explain that you have a break like you've explained it to us and ask if they have a problem with it. I'd have thought it refreshes you and makes you more productive but that's between you and your manager and nothing to do with him. Hopefully your manager can see him for what he is and he won't be kept on. I'd make a note of any letchy behaviour/comments just in case.

Maman, Ive been told I'm allowed wholemeal carbs in very small amounts but was told I must have them with some protein at the same time. When I used to do slimming world years ago, I would have my syns on things like a packet of crisp or a chocolate bar/cake. Now I can't think what to have? so it would be great to hear from others who have to watch their sugar levels.

I've also been told I'm only allowed half a apple, it's confusing.
