    Funny old day;

breakfast: strawberries, melon and a muller light
lunch: got to see my Daddy :) we went to McDonalds. BUT non scale victory (NSV) I chose a grilled chicken and bacon salad which the app says is 1 syn and a diet coke :)
afternoon at work: nothing - too busy/stressed to have my pots of fruit!
tea: potato waffle (2.5syn) slice of cheese (2 syn) fat free cottage cheese and tuna with a pickled beetroot (was in a hurry to get us all fed, kitchen straightened, washing out and wonder bairn bathed and in to pjs so I could head back out to a meeting!)
evening: frozen curly wurly (6 syn) 2 bon bons (3 syn)
HeB: just realised I've forgotten it
    HeA: 250ml semi skimmed milk

    Tomorrow's plan:
    HeA: 250ml semi skimmed milk
    HeB: 60g wholemeal roll
    breakfast: strawberries, melon, muller light
lunch: ham sandwich on heb roll, side salad (beetroot, lettuce, cucumber, pepper, baby tomatoes, carrot)
tea: musclefood meatballs (need to find out the syns) with sauce and pasta. going to work out syns tomorrow :)

    Today's menu:

Breakfast: 2 pieces wholemeal toast (HEB) with Flora light (1 syn),marmite

Lunch: Batcheors rice (old style-free),with salad: plum tomatoes, beetroot, mange tout, cucumber, followed by bowl of cherries

Snack: Kinder choc (6 syns) :made a "school-boy error" there-I had bought these, thinking they were very good for 2 syns.It was only AFTER I had eaten it,I thought I would double-check the syns :naughty:. Oops!Wonder where I got the idea they were 2,though?.Still,it is not that long ago that a choc craving would have resulted in a whole lot more damage.

    Snack: 3 fresh apricots

Tea: chicken, brocolli, tinned sweetcorn, stuffed potatoes.Nightmare to work out the syns, though I did write down the weight of all the synnable fillings (so I could work out syns). One filling was bacon, spring onions, and cheese triangle, another was filled with ham and lower fat cream cheese.Delicious, and the family love them, though a bit time-consuming to make.

All of skimmed milk allowance used in cups of tea.

  • So week 1 done, 2lb lost yay! Thanks for the freezing Mullerlight tips, I did try it but they never got to the frozen stage before I ate them lol. I can confirm though that they are enjoyable extra cold!!

What helped this week was including some pudding ideas in my meal plan, I used a couple of ideas from the recent magazine, namely banana split and jelly but they definitely helped with the sweet tooth.

What didn't help was my carefully planned Tesco order getting cancelled but they did give me £20 vouchers for the inconvenience. It led me astray for a day but I managed to get back on track!

Another day which isn't going to plan:mad: Was planning a Green day with a butternut squash risotto for dinner tonight. Can't find it anywhere in the freezer, don't remember eating it but assume we must have done sometime! So it's all change and will be an EE day.

    B - grapes - after WI
L - ham salad with HM WM roll (60g - it's tiny compared with a shop one!)
    D - Spanish chicken (2 syns)

Planning on doing a big shop at Morries after WI as have a £5 off £40 spend so will get some meat on the 3 for £10 plus some beer for DH to bring it up to at least £40!

Back later after WI (but not holding my breath for a loss this week!)

    Good luck Denise.

I'm sorting through my cupboards and I find some packets of protein porridge I purchased last year but still in date.

    Each portion is...

    Cal. 137
    Total fat: 3.4
    Sats: 0.7
    Carbs: 12.7
    Of sugars: 7.1
    Fibre: 2.9
    Protein: 12.5

I'm wondering the syn value, would it be 7 syns?

What's the portion size? Need that to work it out properly.

I've put it into the calculator as a 35g portion with no Free food and it comes to 7 syns as you'd worked out (assume you used the rough calculation of 20 cals per syn?)

    Morning :)

I finally got round to trying braised red cabbage yesterday and I really enjoyed it. I only used half a cabbage but it made loads so we had one portion last night and there are 2 more larger portions in the freezer. We had it with salmon and they went together surprisingly well!
I try to mark my diary on the day I go to the hairdressers for six weeks time to get my next appt. It usually works out well :D I have quite a short style and it doesn't take too much growth for it to need cutting.

I went one better - I actually made an appointment for 1st September while I was at the hairdressers - how organised am I?! :D Glad you're feeling a bit better - hope you continue recovering and sort out the other issues.

I hate it when that happens. We have numerous fridges and freezers at home and in the shop and although I try to keep our personal items together and separate, that doesn't always happen so sometimes I find myself looking for something I'm convinced is somewhere in all of them... :rotfl:

Mirry - pleased to hear your son's friend is ok. I take it he has HOCUM heart (Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy) - I have a friend who was diagnosed with that as a child and he now has a pacemaker implanted. Frightening when they go off for no reason, but it could save his life.

Well done Teallach, and Mad with Money.

    Have a good day everyone.
