Good work, tarab, Saver-upper and jps.

    I hope you’re ok, beanie.

Lois, I get annoyed clothes shopping too. I often find that, even in the same shop, sizing is all over the place. I wish we could get free of our obsession with the numbers and just wear the clothes that fit and make us feel we look fine. It’s worse if you do dressmaking – the pattern sizes you need to buy are much bigger than shop sizes!

Its +1lb for me this week (as expected).

    Today I’ve had:
Breakfast: hexb slice wholemeal toast (standard loaf), part hexa as 1 laughing cow light triangle, an orange
Snack: 25g wine gums with cup of black tea (which proved to be quite tasty and lasted a while) – 4syns

    Rest of today:
Lunch: leek & potato soup, 1 slice wholemeal bread (4 syns) with smoked salmon and salad stuff
Dinner: kohlrabi & ham bake (7 syns), beetroot, tomatoes

Snacks: rest of hexa cheese (either 2 mini baby bel light or 20g cheddar) with grapes; more fruit as I’ll have used up all my syns for today

I’m out for lunch tomorrow with DH. He got vouchers for a new restaurant as a father’s day gift from DD.

I'm so pleased to find this post, after years of being unable to loose weight on slimming world, I've just discovered I'm insulin resistant & possibly diabetic. Suddenly the penny dropped, so that's why I couldn't loose the weight eating rice/potatoes/pasta/bananas & chocolate syns:mad:.

So now I'm starting again, following slimming world in a diabetic friendly way. Only a small amount of brown rice/brown pasta/ low gi fruit ect

Anyone else follow it this way?

I can't join SW officially due to being off work sick, so I'm going to go it alone if I can, fingers cross :)
    Kindness costs nothing :)

Hi Mirry and welcome. I am diabetic and if I don't go overboard with carbs I
am ok. If you have done the Expert programme it tells you to eat a small amount of carbs at every meal using the eat well plate. I don't lose fast but I am getting some off. If you haven't done the Expert programme ask your doctor about it. Hope all goes well for you.
Oh and by the way if you're on medication it can slow you down a bit.
    Good luck and enjoy S/W.

Thanks Tweets, I will take a look and refresh my memory

Wizkid1, I have a doctors appointment this sat, so I will ask abt that programme. Is it advising 1/2 the plate veg/ 1/4 carb & 1/4 protein ?
I'm having salmon soon, with 4 small new potatoes and half a plate of veg. Hope this is ok x

Thanks for the kind welcome Meg, I don't know why but I'm finding it all a bit overwhelming/emotional. I like others have struggled with my weight for quite some time, and It's so lovely to be with others in the same boat (hopefully soon we can get ourselves a smaller boat) :)
