I'm back and feeling myself again

I was on annual leave last week and booked a week off at SW. So far, its 1st 1.5lb off in 5 weeks.

    B = eggs, bacon, apple
Brunch - HEA LC L cheese triangles (4) and HEB Dark Rye Ryvita (4)
Work snack - syn free yog and apricots
Dinner - Pasta n sauce quiche. Make the PnS as per instructions with just water. Place in flan dish. Beat up 4 eggs and pour over pasta. Top with speed veg - I used cherry toms, courgette (as I bought a pack this morning and one had a split) and spring onions. I grated 13g of LF cheddar - as I had 2/3 of the LC cheese, I used 1/3 of the HEA allowance for l/f cheese. I just cooked it and it looks fab. Cook for 30-35 mins at 180c.Serving with h/m ruby slaw. I saw a pack of ruby slaw mix in the reduced at Asda. Adding half quark and FFG yog.

I loathe cottage cheese. One of the very few foods I cannot stand.

    :T:T

I just had a lovely lunch but it wasn't very on-plan - i bought a bento box the other day (japanese lunch box) so made dumplings to go in it- i reckon there were 10-12 syns in the dumpling wrappers, everything else in them were free.

    So EE (ish) today
    B - strawberries, yogurt, granola (0.5heb)
    L - pork/spinach gyozas (10-12) salad, carrot sticks, sweet chilli sauce (1)
    T - beef lasagne(hea), roast veg, salad
    S - crisps (4.5) satsuma

Off either swimming or gymming tonight.. i'll see whether it's stopped raining or not... doesn't look likely :(

    Have a good one x

    Morning all :)

    I just revived a dying bee! :D

I was doing my paperwork and took a folder off the windowsill and behind it there was what I thought to be a dead bluebottle and I was just about to pick it up when a leg suddenly poked out, meaning it was obviously still alive. On closer inspection I realised it was a bee so decided not to touch it - it may have been close to death but I know from experience that they can still sting you. I dissolved a bit of sugar in water and manoeuvred the bee into a position where it could drink it, and left it to rest for a while, and it recovered and I've just released it back into the wild.

    Anyway, back on topic:

1940sgal - I understand what you're saying about speed foods, it does seem silly to eat for the sake of it if you've already had enough. My reason for doing it was to focus on speed food in preference to anything else, thereby decreasing the amount of other food. I've done SW on and off for a long time and sometimes challenging myself makes sure I don't get stuck in a rut, eating the same things which don't necessarily have the desired effect.

Aww good on you saving the bee! :D

That's it exactly! I sat there last night thinking on one hand 'should i eat more' and on the other 'if i do it's just so i can say i had x amount of speed food today'. I'm just making sure i have more speed food in than anything else for when i do feel like a bit more.

Right now I'm trying one of the SW frozen meals i got yesterday. Pasta and meatballs. I know the pasta isn't SP but i've had a long ol' day and being able to just bang it in the oven suits me fine :o I have done some broccoli, peas and green beans to go with it though.

Lois you superstar! I haven't been able to read back much but your bee-saving caught my eye :)

I've done it! I got to club 10 tonight, lost 3 and a half pounds! It's not the biggest loss I've had but it's the most significant so far for me, as I've really struggled to stay motivated over the last few weeks.

Thank you for doing the charts Shala, much appreciated xx

Thanks for the responses on the lollies, I tried to check the name on the packaging tonight but DH has thrown the box away. I don't really like ice lollies but as these have ice cream in them they're acceptable!

Well done to all the losers - some fab results coming in!

    Hello all,

I have been lurking and sending positive thoughts and offering safe
    squishy hugs where appropriate.

I am loving all the speed food talk! :)

Congratulations to jpscloud! What a wonderful achievement :j :j :j

I contacted my future consultant today and she seemed to be very nice! I feel a little better but I am still anxious about what is going to happen on Friday even though I was previously a member.

I was wondering of one of you lovely people could tell what I can expect please?

Our consultant usually has a separate area for the new peeps and she goes through the plan with them whilst everyone else is weighing in..

Then she'll get you to go and pay, weigh and then join the main group for your image therapy session.

If you explain to your consultant that you're a bit shy i'm sure she'll make an extra effort to make you feel comfortable.. :D

Hope you enjoy it joee, and don't feel you have to lurk here, join in as much as you want.. :D
