Beanie, you are in the zone! Well done.

Thanks for the sausage info, Lois. I was in Morrisons this morning, but I didn’t go to that bit. I just needed cat yogurt, so in and out more or less. OOO, a hexb challenge – that’s different! I like the sound of that.

Good losers, b_e_g, meg, lush and Saver.

    Well done SOTW, tweets.

Thanks, shala, for your perseverance – with chart, with photobucket and with us!

Well done on losing 7 stone everyone, that's brilliant!

I meant to comment on the HEB challenge too, mine is really only ever porridge, benefit bars or maybe a slice of bread but I did used to try to vary it - really want to try some of the granola with fruit and yoghurt - yum! The choices are generally things that don't go off quickly too so easier to get some variety in without risk of it going to waste. I'd be in!

Thanks for all the work you put into the challenge Shala! I know the new one started on Monday, so this week's weigh in will be the first result, is that right? I'm so easily confused! Think I'm going to swap my weigh day to Friday so it's fresh in my mind for the weekend - might keep me on the straight and narrow!

I'm having a little operation today under GA so can't eat until probably about 5pm, hoping that will help this week's result!

    I have managed today~~bannana,grapes,blueberries,apple,tomato,lettuce,strawberries,
    melon,beans & onion.
& they are not all SF!!!

    Great loss lantanna :j

meg~~so glad that you are not mean to cats :rotfl:

beanie - I think that's more than you used to eat isn't it - you've got 6 Speed foods in there. I must admit I don't even buy bananas or blueberries any more because they were always my go-to fruit because they're easy to eat. I still buy grapes because DH likes to have some every day with his yoghurt whilst at work.

Well,I think the solution to me not not eating enough (often commented on in this thread),is to stop work icon_eek.gif.I have had a day off today,so have had time to prepare meals, sit, and eat them.I can imagine Mr Saver-upper's face when I tell him that giving up work is best for my diet :rotfl:

    Today's menu:

    Breakfast:bacon,eggs,baked beans,cherry tomatoes

Snack: a peach and a nectarine

    Lunch:SALAD: ham,beetroot,tomato,onion,yellow pepper,mange tout,cucumber,carrot,1 tab mayo (1/2 syn)

Snack: lots of cherries,MUller light coconut greek yoghurt (1/2 syn)

Snack: Muller light cheesecake yoghurt (1 syn)

Tea: ham, leek and cheese (2 syns my share) quiche.A bit cross with myself because when we have quiche I cook it with the normal quiche (shortcrust pastry) base, and when serving,I remove the "side" crust off mine, then when eating,I leave the quiche base.Tonight I did the former, then got part-way through the meal and realised I was eating the base 018.gif.So got to work our how many syns there
Quiche was served with fried tinned potatoes, and salad: tinned sweetcorn, carrot, mange tout, beetroot, red and yellow peppers

Tonight have had large serve of cherries a meringue (2.5) with Greek yoghurt (free) and strawberries

Then 2 Hi Fi bars (HEB)

    Diet??What diet??

That's a much better day! Had to laugh when you said giving up work would be good for your diet:rotfl: I suppose I'm lucky in that way as I've retired now. I keep my menu plan on the fridge door and when DH looks at it he says he can't wait to retire, LOL because I eat far more than him:rotfl:

It can be done whilst working but you do need to prepare things in advance.

For example making your lunch the night before and putting it in a plastic box in the fridge; taking leftovers to for lunch which can be reheated in a microwave at work, or if that's not possible then a food flask works just as well. I also batch cook chilli, curry etc and portion into single portions in the freezer and then just need to do something to go with it. Doesn't have to be rice, pasta etc it could just be a roll or some crispbreads if that's easier.

Something I do occasionally for DH is to cook some jacket potatoes which he reheats in the microwave at work and takes either some baked beans or some tuna mayo to have on it. So you could do this but also add some salad which would up the Speed foods considerably. My salads have at least 6 Speed foods in and usually 8 or 9.

When I was working I often used to make crustless quiche and keep in the fridge and would take some with salad for lunches; and would also snack on it when I was at home.

For breakfast, fruit and FF yoghurt is very easy and takes no time at all. You could even make up a big bowl of it and keep in the fridge then it's just a case of spooning some into a bowl and adding some yoghurt.

Hope some of these ideas are of help.

Congratulations Tweets on being our SOTW :T:T:T

Back again with my menu for today:

B - bacon & mushroom, brown sauce sandwich (HEB +3)
L - HM beanburger, contains onions & carrots; salad: lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes; rocket; spring onions, beetroot, cornichons.
D - cottage pie: beef mince, onions, garlic, carrot, celery, tin toms, chopped cornichons; sugar snap peas; broccolli. Fresh fruit salad: strawberries, peaches, plums, grapes, melon, apricots with FF yoghurt.

A total of 22 Speed foods.

Think that'll be the end of most of the fruit but will be going shopping tomorrow and will see what fruit looks best then. Thinking I'll probably get another melon and possibly a pineapple if not too expensive as well as the usual strawberries & grapes.

    Morning all :)

Thanks for the chart Shala , well done Tweets for SOTW :T - bet you weren't expecting that! :D, well done Saver-upper for losing the most in the challenge, and well done to all of us, that's a whole (small) person we've made disappear!.

Had fruit and yogurt for breakfast and then realised none of the fruit was speed - - pineapple, kiwi and banana. The pineapple and kiwi were both quite tart as well, so it felt like I was being very virtuous. The banana was an overripe one that needed to be eaten or binned so at least it added some sweetness.

I've got spag bol going in the slow cooker so that will help to make up for the lack at breakfast - onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, peppers and carrots - and we'll probably have salad for lunch which can add another 6. HEB will be 2 Ryvita later.

Have a good day everyone, keep cool.
