Hi all and welcome to anyone new
Counting speed food is really helping to focus my mind, and I'm finding I'm choosing them in preference to free fruit/veg. Today I've had melon, carrots, butternut squash, onion, broccoli, green beans, baby corn, strawberries, and satsuma so 9 so far and I'll probably have another piece of fruit. Nowhere near your score Denise!
For fans of LMcC sausages, they're on offer in Morrisons at the moment. I got the last pack on Sunday so I think there must be a few other SW followers around here.
Back tomorrow. Good luck to everyone with the new challenge.

Beanie - I saw a message Mildredd posted saying she was having trouble getting on MSE.. hope she can get back on soon x

I have been following the thread, but not commenting for a couple of days. Both days over the weekend the diet was a bit "bitty"-went to a BBQ on Saturday night (always knew this was on)-had cheesecake. When that was over,I thought "Well,I have survived that very well, now on with the rest of the week."About 3 hours later I realised that I was going to a BBQ/party on Sunday as well.I knew there would be all sorts of synning going on there.....and there was
.Hard to list everything I ate.I know there was more cheesecake, tiny pieces of carrot cake,a lemon drizzle cake, the birthday cake was red velvet (never seen that before-it was divine).I also had chicken drumsticks (no skin,so at least that was one small mercy),2 different types of not-SW friendly curry with not-SW friendly rice.Everything in that list was HM except the cheesecake .
Anyway,after all that,weighed in tonight,and this week I lost 2 lb thanks Shala_moo
Only got to lose another 2.5 to get back into target range (and stop paying :j),5.5 to get to target weight.
My menu today was:
Breakfast: MUller light yoghurt and strawberries,an apple
Snack: apple and mandarine,
Snack: mandarine, sugar used in coffee (1 syn)
NO LUNCH
Snack: a peach
Tea: chicken in honey and soy sauce (guessing 4 syns for my share of honey),rice
Snack: 1 Alpen bar and 1 HiFi bar (are you allowed to mix Alpens and HF's like that to make a HEB??Before last week I had never bought the HiFi bars, but the lemon meringue ones are just toooooooooo nice!)
Skimmed milk used in cups of teaSPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

My Menu for today is:
20g Malted Shreddies with milk from allowance
Just a few teaspoons of yoghurt as I don't know what the syn value is, I can't find it anywhere.
Lunch: leftover chicken salad with toms, lettuce, beetroot.
Dinner:
HM meatballs with linguine and HM pasta sauce which is just a tin of tomatoes cooked slowly for an hour with mushrooms, onions and basil added at the end.
Snack:
Probably Alpen light bar as I have no fruit.
HEA 250 semi skimmed milk (using the rest for tea)
HEB shreddies
Syns: I'm allowing 5 because of the yoghurt.
I was going to change my weigh in day for this new challenge, but decided to keep it to Thursday as it the day before shopping and should keep me on track better.
Good luck everyone :jIllegitimi non carborundumQuot Libra, Quam Breve TempusSPC NUMBER 025

I wouldn't worry about the small brownie you had as you do't seem to have had any other syns.
Grapes and blueberries are both Free foods and choosing Speed over Free is a good idea but nothing wrong with having the Free fruits.
Most quorn sausages are Free or certainly very low syn but without know which ones they are can't say for definite.
You might find it helpful to actually count the number of Speed foods you are eating - it really helps to focus you on what you are eating.Saver-upper wrote: »I have been following the thread, but not commenting for a couple of days. Both days over the weekend the diet was a bit "bitty"-went to a BBQ on Saturday night (always knew this was on)-had cheesecake. When that was over,I thought "Well,I have survived that very well, now on with the rest of the week."About 3 hours later I realised that I was going to a BBQ/party on Sunday as well.I knew there would be all sorts of synning going on there.....and there was.Hard to list everything I ate.I know there was more cheesecake, tiny pieces of carrot cake,a lemon drizzle cake, the birthday cake was red velvet (never seen that before-it was divine).I also had chicken drumsticks (no skin,so at least that was one small mercy),2 different types of not-SW friendly curry with not-SW friendly rice.Everything in that list was HM except the cheesecake .

Saver Upper - just draw a line under the weekend and stick to plan for the rest of the week.
You don't seem to have eaten very much - think I'd be very hungry with not fruit and yoghurt for breakfast and then no lunch!
You can mix Alpen and HiFi bars but you can only have 2 if they are both Light ones. If they're not then you would need to have one for HEB and syn the other. Hope that makes sense.
Another Green day for me today (this one was planned - yesterday's happened accidentally!):
B - Shreddies/milk - HEB/HEA; melon; strawberries
L - Jacket potato with tuna mayo (HEB2 + 2); lettuce, cucumber, tomato, cornichons, beetroot, pepper, tomato, rocket
D - Egg, chips, beans & mushrooms; fruit salad - strawberries, melon, grapes, apricot, peach, plums
Will probably not have any other syns as really need to keep syns low as had so many over the weekend!
Not done so well on the Speed foods today - just 15.

Hi all, mind if I join? I have two stone to lose, annoyingly I had lost it via sw before but one baby later and here I am! I can't get to class at the moment so need to go it alone. I am breast feeding baby so think I can have an extra a & b?
We go away in 12 weeks, I don't think two stone is realistic but aim for the stars and all that lol!
I need to plan my lunches so as to avoid the sandwich trap and I notice I eat a lot more if I am extra tired. So some things to think about and plan for! Thanks for having me!0 -
