If my cats saw me bringing that much fish in they'd go mental. You should see em when I open a can of tuna! :rotfl: Mine are definitely spoiled little sods :D

Hi I'm new to trying slimming world. Have purchased the most recent books ect off eBay but am yet to join a club (money and shift work mean that this might not be possible).

Am starting tomorrow can anyone check if my plan for the day looks ok? I'm trying to follow extra easy

    Breakfast
    Overnight oats
    35gr of oats (healthy b)
    Muller light yogurt
    Grapes
    Apple

    Lunch
    Cauliflower "rice"
Mixed with 1 fry light cooked egg
    Cherry Tomatoes
Mixed red, yellow and orange peppers
    100gr quorn pieces
    Soy sauce

    Dinner
    Pasta bake
    Pasta
    Red onion
    Peppers
    Mushrooms
    Spinach
Pasta sauce - either barilla tomato and ricotta (8 syns) or a homepride one (12 syns) - the bf will choose. Normally I'd happily make my own buy he prefers a creamy one

    Snacks
    Small punnet of cherry
    2 easy peeler tangerine thingys

Any feedback is welcome. I've done rosemary coneley, weight watchers and normal calorie counting in the past so am interested and excited to see how slimming world works.

    Thanks

Welcome tarab to our SW thread. I'm sure you'll enjoy eating the SW way! I've been doing SW for 5 years now and have been at target for more than 4 years, although can relax a bit more these days.

Your plan looks really good. The only thing I would mention is that grapes are not a Speed food but are Free.

It's a shame your bf prefers ready made creamy sauces as they are very high syn but of course they are well within your syn allowance as you don't have any other syns in your plan. Syns are very much part of the plan so it's important to have them. It's a good idea at the start to make sure you have your full 15 syns a day as it gives you somewhere to cut back later when you get near to target.

    HTH.

Not been a good weekend synwise! but a brilliant one weatherwise! Looking forward to the hot weather this week apart from the humidity we always seem to get with it.

Have probably had almost a week's worth to syns over the weekend so need to keep them much lower until Thursday's WI!

Having a Green day today for a change - wasn't originally planned that way but it's just worked out that way:

B - scrambled eggs on toast
    L - beanburger/mozzarella with salad
D - LO vegetable curry with rice; fresh fruit salad - peaches, plums, strawberries, grapes; ff nat yoghurt

HEA1 - milk in tea throughout the day
HEA2 - mozzarella (just a small amount in the burger)
    HEB1 - bread
    HEB2 - 3 cracked pepper Ryvita

    Syns - butter 2; 3 Apericubes 0.5

    20 Speed foods

Going to Peterborough in a min to meet up with an old friend who lives in Norfolk.

    She suggested O'Neills to eat.

    http://www.oneills.co.uk/specific/pdf/oneillspeterborough-main_menu.pdf

    Loads of lowish syns meals.
Taco salads, which you can ask for no Taco as I think that is like 12 syns for the large taco. Salmon, Chicken n Bacon or Steak n Black bean sauce

    Spiced Black Salmon sizzling skillet
    Simply chicken.

All their steaks and some of their skewers are served with chips. Not too sure how adaptable they are to swap chips for jacket potato, as the simply chicken has a jp and they serve jp too. Some pubs will not do this.

    20 Speed foods

    Denise

Lordy that's impressive! I struggled to even get to 5 this weekend. Must do better today!

    Today's food is:

B - Marmite on toast with cuppas HEA & HEB, also had bowl of oranges and strawbs around 11ish
L - don't know what i fancy - possibly a jacket spud with tuna mayo and salad (cucumber & toms), or golden veg rice with salad will see how I feel in half an hour :D
T - SW chicken sausages (not tried them yet) with mash, green beans and broccoli

Will try and snack on some veg throughout the day to get my speed quota up - I have carrots and sugar snaps which are probably about to go past their best before

Have a lovely day everyone, I hope the sun shines for you all

Have to say I didn't do anywhere near as well over the weekend! I even forgot to take onions away with us so just had plain burger in a bun - just not the same without onions, LOL!

I get a lot of my Speed from salad as I usually have: lettuce, sping onions, cucumber; tomato, beetroot, cornichons (baby gherkins); peppers - so that's 7 Speed foods just from the salad.

It was easy getting up to 20 today as having veggie curry tonight so loads of different veg in that! That's leftovers from the weekend so that, along with salad was the only Speed foods I had all weekend and no fruit as forgot to take any with me.
