Welcome Mad with Money to the thread. Losing 2 stone in 12 weeks is definitely doable - it's only just over a lb a week.
Do you know about the changes they have made to the plan this year? Most fruit and veg is Speed food now and they've done away with the F, FF, SF, C & CC symbols. Have a read of the first page which gives an overview of the plan.
All veg except the starchy ones like potatoes, peas, sweetcorn etc are Speed foods and most fruit except the easy to eat ones like grapes, blueberries & bananas are also Speed foods.
You might find it useful to put up your plans each day so that we can check you are doing things right. You still need to be having at least 1/3 Speed foods on your plate.
At the moment I'm trying to incorporate as many different Speed foods as possible into my plans and some of the others are are also doing the same. Since I started doing this when I came back from my holiday a couple of weeks ago I've been having about 15-20 Speed foods a day. I've found it to be motivating to try and get as many different ones as possible each day.
Good luck with your journey.

Fortunately I don't have to buy it all! DH often brings fruit home from work as his firm supply it for the workers and most of his colleagues don't bother so rather than it going to waste he brings some home a couple of times a week - this week it was doughnut peaches but most weeks it's apples &/or oranges.
I also grow some bits. At the moment I have masses of rocket which I have every day with my salad and I also used some yesterday instead of spinach in my veg curry and it worked really well I'm pleased to say. Wasn't sure whether it would work but worth a try. DH actually preferred it to spinach!
I've also got quite a few courgettes and the purple spouting brocolli is just starting to come through. We had a small portion on Sunday. I've also got sugar snap peas and I've been managing to get a couple of portions every other day from that.
My tomato plants are just beginning to fruit as well so hopefully not too much longer before I can starting eating home grown rather than shop bought.
I really ought to get round to planting some lettuce - I've got loads of seeds but just keep forgetting!
I've also got some celariac growing but need to check when they should be ready - some of them are beginning to look as though may be ready. The only really late veg I've got growing is some chard but don't think that will be ready until about September - probably when I go on holiday knowing my luck!

Hi all
Apple, bns, onion, carrot, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, spring onion, cornichons, beetroot, cauliflower, sweet pepper, orange, nectarine - 14 speed foods planned for today.
Regarding challenges, I happened upon some comments on an item on the Syns Allowed FB page where people were naming different challenges and one I thought was good was the HEB challenge, which is to have a different one every day. Anyone tried this? I'm quite predictable with mine, it's usually one of three things - bread, weetabix or porridge oats, occasionally ryvita.
Lovely day here, hope you've all got sunshine where you are.

I am in dire need of cake, or generally something sweet. I'm going to make something sweet at the weekend. I was looking at the website and i'm going to try the panna cotta (sp?).
What other sweet stuff have people tried?0 -

I love the sugar free jelly, the crystals make four small pots for 2syns and you can top with free yoghurt or stir some fruit into it before it sets. I also put banana on ice lolly stick and freeze its really creamy like icecream.Slimming World at target0 -
1940sGal I love meringues! Low syn and can top with free yoghurt and fruit. I also love frozen raspberries defrosted in the microwave so they're slightly warm and squishy mixed in with vanilla and choc flakes Mullerlight (not sure if the fruit should be synned buts it's not really cooked so I don't). There is also a baked oats recipe somewhere, it's HEB oats mixed with an egg, whatever fruit you fancy, milk and sweetener (sorry I forget the quantities) and baked in the oven. Eaten warm it's a bit like a flapjack. Again the fruit should be synned though as its cooked I believe.Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0

I've done the HEB challenge in the past as I was nearly always having bread or crispbreads. Haven't done it for a while and don't think I'll bother again as the week I did it I still only lost 0.5lb:rotfl: If I'm going to do a challenge it needs to be worthwhile!
