Well done, that's a great result when you're maintaining. Are you planning to lower your target?

Meg - 3pm must be the time for Asda Reductions there was loads when I was there about that time today!

I often wonder how the big supermarkets keep on top of date checking all their fresh food. Does anyone have any experience of working in that environment, do they have daily reports of stock that's reaching it's use by date?

I discovered some tortillas that were out of date in Morrisons and a manager happened to be nearby at the time so I pointed them out to him. He apologised and said they have systems for that sort of thing - I was intrigued.

I date check fresh foods daily in my shop and regularly do a check of other items with longer dates and make a note in my diary if they're approaching. Not very technological, but I don't have EPOS so no other option, and fortunately it's only a small shop, it would take ages to check everything in a supermarket.

See you tomorrow, have a lovely evening.
