1940sgal - glad you enjoyed it :T feel free to post your menus up here each day if you want help, we can help a bit quicker than your consultant usuallyI'm going to set myself a bigger challenge this time - 10lbs for me please Shala. If I only manage to achieve half it will still be more than I've lost this time.
Aim high Lois, i'm going to copy you and go for 10lb - we can do it, it's only just over a 1lb a weekI'm going for 8 lbs please shala for new challenge I will weigh tomorrow and see where I am. When do we start? Can't wait xx
New challenge starts on Monday so you've timed it just right!TakeItEazy wrote: »Got a top from Sainsbobs and I can't believe the size. I'm normally a 12 but the top looked massive so got a 10. That was still big so next time I went I got another top in a different colour in a size 8 omg, have never been an 8 in my life  NSV :T

Ummmmmmmm,is this right??I am trying to add up my syns for today.
I always thought any wholemeal bread was a HEB,but looking around a bit, isn't that right? This morning, unusually,I had Kingsmill tasty wholemeal, but looking online,it looks like this doesn't have anough fibre to count as a HEB,is that right??
I always thought the reason people suggested the Hovis loaf (2 slices),was because 2 slices is conveniently the right amount for a HEB.Didn't realise that it was because other wholemeals weren't HEB
How did I not know this after 4 years at Slimming World.

Sorry I've not had chance to read back; are we starting a new challenge? If so I'd like to go for 14lb please. It's a lot for me but that's just under everything I need to lose so I'm hoping to find motivation asap.
Shala I'm reporting a -1lb for tomorrow please; not sure which challenge that will go under? Weighed in today as I won't get chance tomorrow.
Funny few days; ended up being horrendously and quite violently ill on Monday, Tuesday I ate: 35g (HeB) oats with strawberries, grapes and a low fat yogurt, 2 slices on morrisons white and more bread toasted and 2 rich tea fingers and even that left me feel nauseous. Today I've eaten more, but not very good stuff at all as I ate breakfast at 8.30 am at the opening event of our conference, then had a chocolate bar at 1pm, and my lunch at 6pm
Pay day tomorrow and at some point I intend to go and do a week, maybe two of shopping which will include:
strawberries, grapes, easy peelers, bananas, cereal, cheese, bolognaise sauce, eggs and salad stuff and then some bits just for wonder bairn and bf (crisps, choco biscuits etc)
Can anyone tell me the syns in fruit and fibre? or can you have some as a HeB (TIA)************************************

Congrats to all the SOTW!
Weigh in tonight was a relatively disappointing STS, only cos I've stuck to plan as I do every week and really deserved to lose but such is life. Anyway, as I've only got 6lb to go to target, I guess that's my aim for this challenge and a challenge it will certainly be as we're on holiday for 2 weeks and I would be happy with an 8lb gain during that time!0 -
It's 60g of any wholemeal bread according to my book saverupper, I think that usually works out to about 1.5 slices of an 800g loaf depending on thickness...
Fruit and fibre can be a heb lush, 35g (about 6 syns if you want to syn it) your -1lb will be the end of this challenge..

Ok,I think I know what's going on.As mentioned,I have always just measured out my HEB out of whatever wholemeal loaf I have in the house at the time.Looking on the SW website tonight, only a few wholemeal breads specifically have the HE synbol next to them (for example,I typed "Hovis" into the search bar,and only about 8 loaves out of the 31 listed, have the HEB symbol next to them.
I think I have read somewhere that if it is not an even one or 2 slices that makes up the 60g,SW won't call it a HE.So if your 60 g is two slices weighing 30g each,it gets a HEB mark next to it on the listing. If,on the other hand, you can only make up 60g by using one slice, then cutting an aeroplane shape out of another other slice :rotfl:,then SW won't call it a HEB
Emergency over,folks...........
Really was wondering how I got through 4 SW years,4 SW leaders, and reaching target twice, without ever knowing that.(it's because it's not true..........)

I have totally gone off the rails this week so expecting a gain! Ah well I had fun
Will wait for weigh in on Sat to set next target if that's ok, I think I'll set it as next shiny instead of 1lb a week as my weight loss is a little slower than 1lb a week typically.
Also wow never been sotw! Nice thing about this challenge - in normal group losing 1.5lb would never win sotw (not in my group anyway!) but have more of a chance on here! Also it varies a bit here, in group it's often the same people . Thanks for doing charts shalaTrying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0 -
Hi all
Well done to the three new holders of this week's SOTW :T and thank you Shala for persevering, specially when photo bucket doesn't want to play.
and from me
I'm going to set myself a bigger challenge this time - 10lbs for me please Shala. If I only manage to achieve half it will still be more than I've lost this time.
Good luck - it's only just over a pound a week so doable.
I've been focussing on speed food today to make up for yesterday's scarcity and so far I've had:
Pear
Strawberry
Apple
Lettuce
Tomato
Cucumber
Beetroot
Spring onion
Red pepper
Onions
Bean sprouts
Cabbage
Bamboo shoots
Water chestnuts
Carrot
Nectarine
So that's 16 so far. I've still got an HEB and half an HEA left which I'm going to use later for 2 ryvita with cheese spread and I'll have some cherry tomatoes with that. Syns today have been used for stir fry sauce.
Have a lovely evening, back tomorrow.

Amazing number of Speed foods today LL. I'm actually finding it quite motivating to try and get loads of different Speed foods in each day.Saver-upper wrote: »Ummmmmmmm,is this right??I am trying to add up my syns for today.

Was going to say exactly that! If I'm using a non-listed WM bread I either syn the extra or cut off the crusts, LOL!
It's WI for me this morning and I'll be going shopping after so hoping to get some more different fruit - have only had melon this week which I'd bought back from France and a doughnut peach yesterday which DH had bought home from work (his firm provides a fruit basket for the rest room/kitchen and most of the blokes don't eat the fruit so DH often brings odd bits home - usually apples which I'm not keen on!)
Not sure what I'm eating for lunch today yet! Will take a doughnut peach to eat after WI (melon's a bit messy as it's so juicy!). Tonight will be shepherds pie & a selection of veg but not sure what until I've been shopping.
Back later with result of WI - expecting a couple of pounds gain - and a proper menu.
