I am just betting the Graze products (per product) will be taking a third to two thirds of your daily Syn allowance (depending on the product).
They will not be as healthy as you think!

I found this rule of thumb (1 syn for every 20 cals) only sometimes works... It all depends on the what is in the product.
Once you join or get the relevant books, you will be able to work through the syn value of the regular products you regularly eat (be prepared for a shock)!
The good thing though is you don't have to miss out, simple changes and tweaks can be made.

    EDIT
Just checked SW: The Graze products per serving seem normal in Syns for a snack of this type. The average for the listed products is 7 Syn

I guess it will come down to how i want to use my syns. I'm going to see what i get in the one that comes tomorrow then when i get my pack on wednesday I can work it out and see if they're worth it.

The values of some Graze pods are on the SW online website.

If it isn't there, you can use the Syn Calculator to work it out.

    Hello all,

I thought that I should come out of lurkerdom!

I was wondering if I could join you please, I am planning on joining an SW class on the 10th July (I am working on getting rid of all the "naughty" food) with my friend.

I did SW a few years ago and lost around 8st - unfortunately I have found it again.

I am tired of living my life in the shadows - I want to take the step of changing my life.

Of course you can join us.
I also have refound some of my weight loss.
It is hard to maintain the losses I think.
(though there are some fab maintainers on the thread :) ((Denise & maman spring to mind)) )
Wishing you well on your journey.

I've just read a post on another site that said anything that isn't 'free' or a healthy extra comes out at 1 syn for every 20 cals. Is that right?
    .

    Hi,1940sGal.
This is a rough guide for food that has no free food allowance eg chocolate, wine, biscuits. It doesn't always work, but it is a guide.

There are Graze products listed on th SW calculator.Ask us,and someone can look up some products for you,eg Graze brownie is 5.5 syns per punnet,Graze cookies and cream is 10.5 syns per punnet.
Quaker plain granola,25g is 5.5 syns,as is Quaker fruit and nut granola.Neither of them are a HEB.Hope this helps, just ask if there is anything else you need help with.

Lunch:wholemeal thin (HEB) with ham,an apple

Tea: jacket potato with egg,2 tab light mayo(1 syn),bacon, sweet chilli sauce(didn't measure, but will call it 4.5syns to be safe),10g cheese (2syns)

Haven't used all skimmed milk allowance in tea

  • I tend to swap my milk allowance for cheese if I know that I have had a splash of milk in my tea and nothing else.

Edit: I do count the splash of milk as a syn.

    Evening everyone

Just managed to read posts up to date after wi tonight, got ready to reply and then somehow dozed off  Had a busy day with out Australian visitors, then toddled off to SW class, got home (9.30) and fed and the next I knew it was well past midnight when I came round.

Anyway, enough of that I am reporting a 2lb loss :j this week shala (the 2lbs I gained last week). Have managed to stay more or less on plan whilst our visitors have been here until today today when I had a huge scone with jam and cream and tonight when I had a piece of choccy cake with praline ice cream  Having a meal out with them on Wednesday before they return home on Thursday and I have said I will have whatever I fancy at the meal and get back on track after that. ;)

Back at drs this morning and he has put me on the pee pills again so I am hoping to get plenty of BM all that tooing and froing to the loo. :rotfl:

Helloooo to our newbies 1940'sGal and joee :hello:

Sorry to hear DH has health issues Durham - sending positive vibes to you.

Well done losers - sorry I can't remember who has done what now and as its about 1am I think I had better get myself off to bed before early start in the morning so I will bid you all 'goodnight'.
