    I have lost 1 lb shala_moo

Feel like I havent really been eating properly the over the weekend.Really must eat more speed-even I can feel the difference after only a few days of grabbing what I can to eat,all good choices, but not enough veg

:D a girl after my own heart!!!

:Twell done on your loss and you're doing the right thing reviewing what you're eating. I know it's hard with all your family commitments but you don't seem to eat enough proper meals either. A typical day seems to be a couple of little snacks and only dinner as a proper meal. Sometimes not eating enough can affect weightloss too. Try to make time for some lunch at least.

I've yet to find a SW curry that I really like either. I want a bhuna/madras type one with a thick tomatoey sauce. Perhaps posters that make curry regularly can suggest some.

    My EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
    L: LO beef and veg
D: Lancashire hotpot (carrots, mushrooms, onions, leeks, celery, potatoes) with cabbage.
    Syns: gravy, squirt of syrup

I won't remove all the fat from the lamb chops but I won't eat it either if that makes sense. The recipe I like uses some gravy granules but only a shred tbsp.

It's this one with added Speed!!;)

Oh,I know, maman. So,maybe the good folk here can tell me what the answer is.Here is the situation:
I do try and have breakfast.Usually it is rushed, often it is standing up (or running around!)
THEN.......I have a cleaning business, school hours, term time.So from dropping the kids to school (9am),to collecting (3 or 3.30pm,depending what eldest daughter is doing extra-curricular wise),I clean 2 houses a day.each house takes between 2-3 hours.I can hardly eat while I am cleaning people's toilets, nor take a "break" to eat while people are paying me.So while I am working I live on the cups of tea I am very kindly offered, and whatever I can eat with one hand while driving (fruit usually).
So if people can suggest things I could prepare to eat, literally on the run,I would appreciate it.I wondered last night if my "less" weightloss this week was due to not enough speed, not enough food, not enough variety,or just because I am getting close back to target.Might be a bit of them all.
I am loving trying new evening meals/recipes,but now I would also like suggestions for lunch variety please.Bearing in mind anything I pack will be sitting in the car all day .
I wasnt meant to be home today, but took DS,age 11,into Dr's about his breathing at 8.30 this morning.Dr spent 2 hours trying to get his oxygen saturation above 87 percent (should be 98-99).So now son is home for at least 2,probably 3 days, has to go to Dr for the same tests every morning for 2 more days,no school for at least today/tomorrow.So when we came home from Dr,at about 11,and I offered to cook him bacon, eggs, tomato to eat with me,he asked what I would have been having for brekky if he hadnt gone to Dr.Of course,he was able to point out that it was a good thing he was sick-at least it meant I ate properly .I personally wouldn't recommend stiffling your kid's breathing so you can get a proper breakfast, though I guess that is one way :eek:.

The SW curry I like best is the chicken tikka masala. It's a bit faffy but I like it.
Marinade chicken in natural yogurt, curry powder, crushed garlic and a little salt.
Cut a pepper and onion into large chunks and stir into marinade with chicken.
Preheat grill then scorch the chicken and veg until very brown but not burnt.
Place chicken and veg into pan. Into any left over marinade add a stock pot, approx 2-3 tbsp water and 1/2 carton of passata. Stir well and add to pan.
Cook on low for around 30 mins or it can be done all day in slow cooker.
Stir an extra spoonful of yogurt in before serving.
Obviously it doesn't taste like a real curry but we all love it here. The veg are delish, sweet and so tasty, and the chicken is succulent.
It can be spiced up with extra chilli in the marinade or chopped fresh chilli at the end.

    Hiya

Saver-upper - I've struggled to find a SW curry recipe I like too, I find whenever I do any with yogurt in, it curdles instead of making it creamy.

I cheat and use a jar of curry sauce such as Pataks or Sharwoods or an own brand. They do vary a lot in syns but my favourites are 15 for the jar - the Balti and Madras. I then pad out the curry sauce with loads of onions and peppers and use plenty of meat and it makes enough for 2 meals (4 servings), so the syns are much lower than you'd think.

It could be any of those reasons saver-upper. I hadn't realised you were close to target but if that's the case 1lb isn't bad at all. I took weeks faffing around to lose the last few pounds.

Probably the simplest idea for lunch would be to save your HEB and make a sandwich filled with loads of salad stuff and maybe some synned crisps and fruit. For breakfast you could have fruit and yogurt and perhaps a hard boiled egg or cold sausage that you could cook the day before. If you've got time to cook in the evening then I'd suggest making pasta salad or rice salad or crustless quiche. If you just want to grab and go, I like cold new potatoes, cold chicken, cherry tomatoes and cucumber sticks. If you've got a cool box to go in the car then fine. If not then just freeze some little bottles of water and arrange them around your food in a box or bag. Then all you need to do is try and park up for 10 minutes between jobs, preferably somewhere scenic and eat it!!
