lantanna have a massive hug from me! I have been there, howling in the changing rooms, it's bloody awful. I also have a family who have a flipping opinion on everything, mostly why I am unmarried / fat etc. I guess it's better to be talked about than not!!

Sizing in shops has a lot to flipping answer for. I'm sure some of them do it on purpose to make us feel bad. Two fingers up to the lot of them!!

Thank you and thanks to Mildredd too xx

Families are a nightmare!! And yes if you are single woman in your 30's with a pick of fat on you it seems to be causing the world some sort of pain! :rotfl: I have another Aunt who keeps asking have I got someone yet?? Have I got someone as if its a matter of going into a shop and picking one of a shelf!! :rotfl:

Am I looking right now - no, do I care right now - no!! Should anyone else care - no!!! The be all and end of to a woman's life is not to go out and find a suitable partner although sadly in my Aunts day it was!!!

I'm sure I will bounce back quite promptly just need to get over this little bit of turbulence!

Ah the Large Superdry coat Mildredd I will never be buying a superdry anything again as coat has been worn about 10 times max and as you know the zips are banjacked and Mildredd's are not fair behind mine! Do not buy people!!

For that reason I am glad I'm not working at the mo :/ teenagers mourning a band member leaving would kill me at the mo... Was bad enough when Heath ledger died years ago n that was only a small selection of girls who were effected :/

Superdry coats have 3 zips ive decided because they all break eventually!!!

If you saw these people though (the swingers) you would wonder how they even did things which each other never mind got anybody else to swing with them!! :rotfl:

I think the mothership has suddenly just decided that I am now an adult at 35 and she has removed her filter!! He used to hide !!!!!! magazines all round the village apparently and people used to find them under the bridge etc, on top of the bus stop and be like oh that's so and so's magazine and think nothing of it!! The wife used to go shopping with mothership and be in bras with the nipples cut out of them apparently whilst in changing rooms!!

I have lived a sheltered life!! :rotfl:

:eek::eek: Where exactly is your village???

I'm so pleased you're getting a sense of perspective here.;)

I'm so glad you came on to rant, bottling it up helps nobody and you obviously didn't. Have a big hug, we're here for you.:A

Mildredd is 100% right about sizing. My clothes go from the infamous fake Size 8 to a 16. Manufacturers can't be trusted. At least you didn't buy any of the dresses. I was in John Lewis last week and there was a woman with one of those style advisers. The dress she had chosen was way too small and just made her look fat. What a pity she didn't go there just before the shop closed.

Oh and your aunt is wrong!!! I was listening to a medical programme yesterday and a consultant said that losing weight and a low fat diet is recommended to alleviate gallstones. But maybe your aunt is a consultant too!:rotfl:

I behaved pretty well for me when I was out today and chose parsnip & carrot soup with egg mayo sandwich on hexb wholemeal bread :A

Out of interest, did you buy it in a chain or a local shop? I can never find anywhere that does wholemeal when I'm out.

Been to WI this morning and managed to gain the required pound. I did cheat a bit as I left my shoes on but only ballet pumps.;) I've had SW breakfast (Puffed Wheat) but now going out to lunch so anything could happen.

:T some good losses coming in already this morning.:T
  • Morning all

WI for me today and I'm 3lbs lighter - this takes me over my challenge target so I'd like to increase my target to 14lbs if that doesn't mess up things too much. First time ever that I've exceeded any kind of weight loss target, god bless SW :D

Big hugs lantanna I'm sure we can all identify I know I can, I've done my fair share of cursing clothes sizes in shops and crying in fitting rooms. I swear the mirrors in those things are different to normal mirrors as well I always look huge in them and new clothes that I try on never seem to hang right and I look like I'm playing dress up in someone else's clothes :rotfl:

Hope you feel a bit better after your rant, big hugs to you! You are completely correct re sizing.. they've been talking about standardising it for years but never done anything about it

I hope your mom wasn't hinting about you joining the swingers :rotfl:

Unfortunately i think everyone has an opinion on everything these days, welcome or unwelcome.. think we're all too polite to respond in the correct way which is to tell them to P*** off :D

Re a sheltered life, me too :rotfl: I had a message from a man who asked if I wanted to go Dogging, thought he meant going to the Dog track to see them race. Told my Brother who promptly spat his coffee everywhere, went bright red and muttered think you should Google it before replying. So I did:eek:
