Maman - why's the beef sarnie HEB + 6? Even a large loaf is only 4 syns a slice so if it's just one sandwich using a large loaf then it would be HEB + 2.

Hoping to get away this weekend but no idea where yet as we haven't been looking for anywhere as wasn't sure the new mirrors would turn up in time and the weather would be OK for fitting them but they have just turned up and it's a lovely day so hopefully DH will be able to fit them later when he gets in from work.

Once that's sorted we can start looking for somewhere to go.

Wiggly yes it's an injustice on yourself if you don't eat everything in sight

Glasses don't talk to me about them - I bought a pair of Armani ones - and they threw in a pair of bench ones... However the Armani ones feel too heavy on my face - so I wear the bench ones that since I've lost weight feel too loose on my face :/ I have a stash of contact lenses but I rarely bother with them as I feel a bit naked without glasses on my face ...

Thanks Denise. I think I just guessed because I thought I remembered seeing it on people's meal plans. So it's my HEB (one slice of medium wholemeal from a 800g loaf) and another slice to make a sandwich. So HEB+4?

To be honest, I did quite enjoy the sandwich and it was quick and easy to make but I won't be hurrying to repeat the exercise. I think if I was having bread as a treat I'd buy something special or buy a take away sandwich from M&S or somewhere. It would be loads more syns but for an occasional off plan treat it might be worth it. When it comes to prioritising syns, bread's way down the list.

Do you go to specific sites like Caravan Club when you're away?

Loved the story about mini and the white bread mildredd.:)

Morning all. Shala -3lb for me please :j

Absolutely delighted, looks like ditching the cereal in the mornings and mixing up my HEX's is paying off for me...finally starting to get somewhere!! Thanks so much to everyone on this thread, you have honestly kept me going sometimes over the past few weeks. I think I would have given in if I didn't have you. You all rock, you big bunch of losers!!

My best mate texted me some pics of us on a night out in late 2000 last night...I distinctly remember how fat I felt at the time and I could greet at home amazing my figure is, I actually had a waist!! Using it as inspiration to spur me on!

Crabapple I got new glasses a couple of years ago, the cost is outrageous!! The ones I saw were Gucci, and when you factored in the special lenses so they weren't like the bottom of milkbottles, a large high street chain wanted £370 for them!! I went online and managed to get them for £200 in the end but what a hooha to get the prescription - there's loads of things the optician refuses to put on the prescription so you can't do it. I had a huge argument with them when they told me it was "illegal" to tell me what the pupilliary distance was - it's the measurement of how far apart my eyes are!!!!!! It's a total con to keep the prices up if you ask me. I never wear my malchecks out the house so I should have just got £20 ones :rotfl:

Well I am all fired up today, steered well clear of those flipping hifi bars when I was in the class after I bought and ate 8 in one day a couple of weeks back :rotfl:

    b: fruit and yog
l: hm soup and hexb bread
d: 1.5 lm sausages (3 syns), mash (2 syns for milk and butter), 2 syns for gravy, lots of speed veg

Still got 8 syns to play with, think I will hang on to them and have a proper treat later in the week.

    Have a great day everyone!!xxx

The bf is my sabotager though :/ although we've calmed it down a lot lately as we're both on saving missions lol

I'm a bit slow on catching up with this thread sorry! Haven't really been on MSE much the last couple of years so just getting back into it :)

My BF will eat what I give him but on the days I'm tired or CBA, he will happily order a pizza... or when we eat out, wants pizza express every time etc etc. And he is away this week but got me a GIANT lindt egg with loads of chocolates... I've resisted opening so far :A

Looking forward to WI tonight, been almost 100% good this week (except sat night) and have exercised at least 3 times :)

Maman - no it will be HEB + 2 for a sandwich as the HEB works out at 6 syns (60g).

We usually go to Camping and Caravanning Certificated Sites (max 5 vans + tents) or weekend meets with District Associations - mainly because it's much cheaper!

DH has fixed the new mirror so we're definitely away - going to a site where DH can do some fishing. Might try and get the sleeves into my dress this evening and then take it away to sew the hem at the weekend.

    Ninth Anniversary Combo Breaker
Fay66 I went back onto SW about 6/7 weeks ago (having lost nearly 3 stone on it a couple of years ago) and have really really struggled to lose any weight at all before the last fortnight. I know you can eat as much of the free food as you like but that's not the way it is for me at all. Typically what I was having was either porridge or weetabix for breakfast and using all my hex's there, baked spud or pasta at lunch and various different things for main meals - all with pasta / rice / potatoes. Being veggie made it a lot harder I think. I have totally changed tack now - breakfast is speed fruit and yogurt, lunch has mostly been homemade soup with speed veggies and my hexb bread, then dinner is usually something like pasta / chilli / bolognaise etc (made with quorn). My HEXa is usually cheese of some description. I think I was just eating way too much carbs before. Also, I was using up my syns on chocolate treats, have just totally cut all that out too and it seems to be working for me.

I'll be honest and say I do feel a lot more restricted than I think you are supposed to on SW, however my metabolism just doesn't seem to react the way it does for other folk so I've had to adapt to start losing. There's folk at my group who seem to be able to eat the way that I was in the beginning and are seeing really good losses but I take medication which I think affects my ability to lose so I've just had to accept that it's not that way for me.
