Am planning a good day today, hoping to shift some of the 2.1/2lb I put on last week.

Had apple blueberries and grapes with Alpo yoghurt for breakfast.
I had some left over chilli con carne, not really enough for a portion but decided to make a cheats pizza, split an asda wholemeal pitta and spread the chilli on top then used 50g light mozzerella and popped under grill. It was really lovely with salad and I only managed one of the halves so have one left.

Hope everybody had a good weekend with at least some sunshine. DH and I enjoyed the carvery yesterday, they had roast lamb for once so as it's my absolute favourite I had that so less syns needed for sauce (mint sauce is free isn't it?).

Sorry to say Lois i'm not sure it is free.. i think some of them have sugar in them. It would only be minimal syns though so don't worry too much :D e.t.a. just checked and it 0.5syns for 1 tbsp

    My menu for today EE
    B - banana, yogurt, alpen(3)
L - thins (heb) ham, cheese (0.5 hea), salad, crisps (5)
T - gammon pie thing and roast veg
    S - crisps (4) apple, milk (0.5hea)

Been very naughty today and had 2 bags of crisps :( my mom always told me off for doing that so i feel bad now ;) still within syns though if i can work out what to do for tea that doesn't involve pastry for the pie  probably end up with sliced potatoes.. or i think it's 4 syns for 1 sheet of filo, so i'd only just be over.

I think you might be right about the SC denise. I often use steaks for the HB recipe rather than braising beef and it works fine.

I did not get a chance to do the supermarket shop yesterday and I am regretting it now as I need to go out in an hour and there is nothing for breakfast that is healthy :( I had planned to have an Oat so simple pot however now that I have seen the syns I think I will pass

Today I have a double coffee date one this morning and one this evening so I am keeping all my syns for those. I will not succumb to cake though just coffee. Need to make sure I am full before I go so not tempted by anything!

Good on you rummer. Do try to get your shopping done ASAP otherwise you'll turn to syns because you're hungry. I tend to have Americano with hot milk on the side (some shops have skimmed or semi-skimmed if you ask) or better still a pot of Earl Grey (black) when I'm out and definitely no cakes or cookies!!

    Morning all

Went from there to our local Coop to see if they had any YS bargains as we usually pick up a few on a Sunday, but the only reduced items were high in syns so we left them where they were.

    LL :)

:Tfor leaving the YS junk behind although you had super bargains AGAIN meg.

I'm going to carvery tomorrow so wonder whether lamb will be on the menu? Maybe it's a national thing. Mint sauce can be free if it's made with sweetener rather than sugar. You can make a nice free raita type dip with yogurt and NAS mint sauce.

    My EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, kippers, HEB bread, HEA milk
    L: ham, fried veg, beetroot
D: sausage tray bake (aubergine, courgette, peppers, red onions, mushrooms, tomatoes) with new potatoes, cauli and broccoli
Syns: scrape of spread, 2 syns for BGTY sausages

Couldn't resist the fudge so ended up having all 3 squares! So a total of 12 syns today so still OK and at least the fudge is now out of the way; after all I can only eat it once:rotfl:

  • Back from my 'hols.' Need a break to get over the stress of that. Self catering- so I took plenty of the SW prepared meals from Iceland. Wasn't ready for the sleepless nights thanks to inconsiderate folk in the van next to us & very crap bedrooms. So... day 1 stay awake and put up with the equally tiredly excited kids = sugar. Day 2... more sugar & alcohol. Day 3 copious amounts of Alcohol coz I really need to sleep.
Result? Jumping on the scales tonight. 5lb gain. So. A holiday that wasn't a holiday, and a massive gain to boot.

Gutted. I feel like I've just "passed go" and not collected my 200 :/ All that work undone.

I've been so stressed of late, running around helping at school. I haven't had a minute to myself. I think I really need to take a look at things in my life and sort out what's important. Right. Off to read what everyone has been upto in my absence. Hope it's all been better than me! :D

Hi all, commiserations to all those who are struggling, well done if you're on track and losing. I managed a -4lbs today which is surprising but very welcome. After that really big gain last week I thought it would take a while to get back to where I was but if I'm careful this week maybe it won't take too long.

    Good luck all xx

Awww love so sorry about your holiday, re the gain don't worry to much I have found that what goes on quickly comes off quickly and a lot of it will just be fluid. I know we don't count calories on SW but just as a general guide I find it helpful to remember that it takes 3,500 extra calories to actually gain 1lb of real fat dount very much you have consumed 17,500 extra calories. Get back on plan as soon as you can and watch it come off.
