    Good effort, durham.

I’m another playing with yoyo instead of having a stronger mindset/ more committed approach. I plan and buy, but …… just a wee thing won’t do any harm. I’ve got to accept that YES IT WILL because although it may be a wee thing one day it could well be a wee thing the next again etc.

Well, Sunday has been done and dusted.
Breakfast: 2 boiled eggs & hexb toast, Clementine
Lunch: hm “leftovers” soup (sort of minestrone), WW lemon tart yogurt (½ syn)
    Snack: hm biscuit (4 syns)
Dinner: meatballs in tomato sauce, new potatoes, cauliflower, followed by Mars ice cream bar (7 syns)
Supper will be hexa cheese & grapes

    Monday's menu
    Breakfast: muesli & fruit
Lunch: scrambled eggs with smoked salmon
Dinner: lite burger (3 syns), chips and ...... no idea yet, maybe salsa/mushrooms

Fingers crossed for WI tomorrow, more in hope than expectation.

Have spent most of the day sitting out in the sun - according to the thermometer this afternoon it got up to 30 degrees! I'm sure the forecast wasn't for it to be so hot.

Today has been another very off plan day although started OK with the SW breakfast.

I slow cooked a piece of beef but it was absolutely horrible - the lot has gone in the bin so ended up only having potatoes & veg for dinner tonight!

Tomorrow is another day and I will get back on plan, even though that's had to change because there is no LO beef!

Oh dear denise. What was wrong with the beef? Was it the recipe or just a bad piece of meat?

Just finished dinner. Tasty lamb shanks and have loads of veg LO for tomorrow but no LO meat here either.:(

Aww,hugs TIE.I can imagine how distressing that was after such a day.Big hugs.
In January my OH and I also forgot to go to a Christening. We were cross with ourselves, and I think the kids had been looking forward to getting their glad-rags on and seeing what happens at a Christening. It does sound like a distressing day for you all round hugs.gif.

Food a bit all over the place at the moment.Partly a busy day, partly needing to do a big grocery shop. This afternoon was in a super rush, but thought I would drop into Tesco and buy at least fruit, and something for tea and school lunches for the week. The cursed self- serve till was playing up with every second item I scanned-the staff kept needing to come back and rejig the machine. Finally I just pressed "finish and pay",paid for what I had managed to scan, and left half a basket of grooceries at the til.No time or patience for it today........

Breakfast: an apple and about 2 slices of MY mandarin (well,I was driving in a car with children, you see ;))

Lunch: jacket potato with chilli and what looked to be more than an allowance of cheese. Was at Spud-u-Like,and the guy looked at me like I was crazy when I asked if they coat their potatoes in oil before cooking

    Snack: bunch of grapes

Tea: toasted sandwich (using HEB),1 teaspoon Flora light,16g cheese, onion

Used alot of milk allowance in tea

Feeling full of anxiety tonight.Don't normally get anxious, but we have had a crazy weekend, and have an absolutley mad week coming up.13yo DD is going on a school trip to France next Monday. At a meeting about the trip 2 weeks ago,the teachers told us all to ensure our kids have an EHIC card."It takes a couple of days to come through",we were told. So,went to do it tonight: bl@@dy 7-10 days to come through,NHS website is saying!!!!.Panicking like crazy now,and DD is not impressed with me,either. Not sure what I am going to do.NHS site says you can't phone to rush them.So cross with myself.Don't know how I am ever going to get organised in this life!!

It was a piece of top rump which had been in the freezer for a couple of months. Probably not the best cut to slow cook but wanted to get it sorted without too much hassle!

It looked really nice - still nice and pink inside but I wonder whether there is actually something wrong with my SC as the onions I put in the base were still quite hard and also inedible. The meat itself was tough - I had trouble cutting it with a sharp knife! It also had absolutely no flavour.

Have decided to call the weekend a Flexi-weekend, LOL! Back on plan and have decided I'm probably already in holiday mode:rotfl: but will try to stick to plan for the next few days and will make a decision Thursday morning whether or not to weigh!

    Today's plan:

    B - toasted bacon & mushroom sandwich
L - LO potatoes & veg fried up; egg; beetroot
D - HM SW "ultimate" meatloaf (from the Little Book of Lunches") which is really chunky compared to the usual meatloaf. Will have it with a huge salad - including more beetroot to up the Speed!

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - bread
Syns - butter 2; brown sauce 1; fudge (I've got 3 squares left so could be up to 9 syns if I eat them all!) 3 - 9!!!

Thanks Maman, yes it was YS £1.12 instead of 4.00 I bought 3 packs, also got prawns at 80p and kidney at 30p a pack. Loads of reduced veg again bought cauliflower, carrots, spinach and stirfry

I did not get a chance to do the supermarket shop yesterday and I am regretting it now as I need to go out in an hour and there is nothing for breakfast that is healthy :( I had planned to have an Oat so simple pot however now that I have seen the syns I think I will pass

Today I have a double coffee date one this morning and one this evening so I am keeping all my syns for those. I will not succumb to cake though just coffee. Need to make sure I am full before I go so not tempted by anything!

    Morning all

Hope everybody had a good weekend with at least some sunshine. DH and I enjoyed the carvery yesterday, they had roast lamb for once so as it's my absolute favourite I had that so less syns needed for sauce (mint sauce is free isn't it?).

Went from there to our local Coop to see if they had any YS bargains as we usually pick up a few on a Sunday, but the only reduced items were high in syns so we left them where they were.

Well done to everyone who has lost this week, and hugs to the strugglers. As Beanie says, keep plodding, we'll get there in the end.

    Have a good day.

I totally identify with you both. Looking back at my weight loss I am the same weight as I was the third weigh in I had in January so effectively I have just messed around for the past 5 months:( I find that I do okay one week and then the next is a nightmare. Wednesday and Thursdays seem to be really hard for me and then after I feel I have blown it those two days I just seem to go to pot for the rest of the week.

I think I really need to take maman's advice and think of each day as a brand new day on the plan. I do plan and I buy all the food for the plan on a saturday but by the time I get to Wednesday I seem to have lost the will to stick to it.

I am sure together we can do this but it is just so difficult!!!!

You hit the nail right on the head Maisie, exactly how I feel. I meal plan etc, start all enthusiastic etc and then lose the will for one reason or another. Like Maman says, one good day on plan at a time.

Today is going to be a great day, right? Lovely tasty nutritious, filling food. Wish me luck cause this might turn out a very stressful day as I need to phone around builders/roofers and haven't got a clue where to start with our house problems
