Maman - haven't done SW before but close friends have and it's worked really well for them. We are using recipes from SW mag and online, lots of ideas from the lovely people on forums! Yes I think planning will come into play for when I know I'm going out and save some wine syns for occasions!

Are Malibu and archers 3 syns each like vodka do you know?

I was looking at the Syns Allowed website tonight. The admin posted saying they had arranged a deal with Muscle Foods to get huge reductions for their meat.Sounds like details will follow over the next few days, but Deal 1 :- £76.26 worth of meat for £40.00, delivered free.
Deal 2 :- £121.07 worth of meat for £52.95, delivered free.
(Have just been back to SA this second to check those prices, and the codes will be sent to admin tomorrow.I guess they will be posted soon after.Available to new customers and those who have used before.
I have never bought food online before-might have to give it a go.The Muscle foods seems to have a good reputation.Apparently the meat is very lean, and lovely

A lot of the Muscle Food seems over inflated on first glance.
It's okay for those who are not on a budget and can put what they see in their shopping basket.
The mentioned deal is worth a look in though!

For a regular source of low fat meat (larger volume), I do know that local butchers can offer great deals on meat when buying in higher quantities (just ask).
Obviously supermarkets have periodic deals which are grab while you can type deals.

Will keep my eye on this to see how the prices fair out!

Am absolutely shattered after one of the hardest weeks of my working life, not going to get any better in the foreseeable future either

Big welcome to newbies, Hugh well done to losers and commiserations to gainers. Sw does work but life also gets in the way, just go with the flow :A.

Have a good weekend all :A

Well done on your loss TIE - it must be so hard when things are so difficult at work. Roll on the summer hols eh ;)

Thanks for the welcomes! It's great how everyone's really supportive of each other.

Cinema trip tonight so have got one bag of small maltesers each and have made some HM haribos low syn. Hope they taste okay. Sweets was my biggest downfall previously, though finding out each real haribo was 1/2 syn has helped put me off

Going to try diet fanta chicken for dinner as a fakeaway Chinese. Excited to try all the meals!

What are you going to see dubbya? Well done on going prepared with your sweeties. :D Sometimes just knowing how many syns are in things is enough to make you think twice before sticking them in your mouth (haribo). :rotfl: I bought a blue family pack of M&Ms (my old fav) and worked out how many syns were in the pack and since then I haven't dared to open them  DH and I would have easily worked our way through them on a Sat night watching tv - no wonder I ended up needing SW. :o I don't know whether I would be able to do portion control if I opened them atm so it is probably safer to leave them sealed. :D

Enjoy the fanta chicken :D. We have done the chicken with the cola (tastes nothing like cola when cooked) and the latest one was diet ginger ale and that was lovely too. The trouble we find with a lot of the SW recipes is that they contain too much liquid and need to be adjusted.

TakeItEazy we are seeing Mad Max, love Tom Hardy! Sampled the sweets and they are yum! Pretty much just like jelly cubes but perfect for cinema sweets alternative. Also a small bag of maltesers each. Will still be within syns as low syn day so far.

Thanks for the liquid tip :) we did fine that with a pasta dish last week.

Could you point us in the direction of the recipe for the jelly sweets please dubbya. Enjoy the film.

Well done Rummer - all your hard work has paid off :T

Just had a lovely roast chicken dinner (real whole chicken and not just a chicken breast :rotfl:). Had a tablespoon of sage and onion stuffing with it and DH added a couple of sultanas in it and it lovely. So far that is the only syns I have had today apart from a little bit of gravy. No doubt there will be a bit of synful indulgence before bedtime :p :rotfl:

Hoping for a completely sunny day (not being greedy by asking for a whole weekend lol)
Ha ha ha; the joke’s on me – howling winds, bitterly cold and driving rain were the order of the day.

I had a muscle food order in January. It cost about £45 and had 5kg of chicken breasts free. It was very tasty. I still have 2 chicken breasts, a pack of chicken links and 2 lite burgers left. I’d like to get another order but I only have a little freezer, so I’ll have to wait a bit yet to make space. I’ll only buy when there’s an offer on, though.

Hello, dubbya. Good effort by you and OH.

    Well done, TIE and Rummer.

    Saturday’s Review
    Breakfast: [STRIKE]hexb muesli[/STRIKE] & fruit (banana & clementine)
Lunch: [STRIKE]hm “leftovers soup” [/STRIKE]– DH and I went out for lunch (Italian): spicy pepper soup, spaghetti carbonara (didn’t finish it even although it was delicious) I didn't have any extras, like garlic bread :A
Dinner: s[STRIKE]omething with smoked salmon, Mars ice cram cream (ha ha, ‘cram’ is right!) bar (7 syns)[/STRIKE]
Snacks to be decided: bar dairy milk (10½ syns oops!)

Not sure about Sunday’s menu. It’ll be just me as DH is bowling all day (in this weather, ha ha!!). If it is terrible he’ll be home, so I’ll need to be flexible – and I need to be careful after today’s exploits.

Wishing you all a beautiful day.

    Evening all :)

Sorry to hear some of you have had carp weather today, hope it's better for you tomorrow.

Beg - pleased to hear the Meerkat Movies tip worked for you. Our leader :money: mentioned it on Watchdog the other night and their website crashed! Hope you enjoy the film.

Dubbya - welcome to the thread and well done to you and your OH for your success so far. :T.

Had to laugh at DH today - we were discussing what to have for lunch and he suggested we have LM sausages with egg and beans, so I reminded him we need to have some speed food and his response was "vegetarian sausages are speed food aren't they?" :rotfl:

We're going out for a carvery dinner tomorrow so I'll be using syns for some of the tasty extras that I know I won't resist like cauliflower cheese, horseradish/cranberry/apple sauce (depending on which meat I choose) and a little bit of gravy. I'm not bothered about Yorkshire pud.

Enjoy the rest of the evening, it won't be long before I go to bed, I'm pretty tired tonight.

    LL :)
