Don't worry I am covered with my speed foods had apple, kiwi and blueberries with yoghurt for breakfast and a massive salad for lunch and then beetroot, onion and tomato with my laughing cows and ryvita for my healthy extras. :rotfl:
I have a feeling kiwi doesn't count as speed.... only because I remember sadly noting some of my favorite fruits don't count as speed (kiwi, grapes). Still it is free and has to be better for you than a lot of things, right?Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0 -

I saw Laughing Cow cubes at half a syn in the magazine denise, reminded me of apericubes. I might get some for a nice snack with some melba toast. Which cheese sauce do you use? Seems lower syn than the HM I make.
/QUOTE]
I think the Apericubes must be smaller than the Laughing Cow ones (I haven't seen any yet) as using the Syn calculator they come out at 3 Apericubes for 1/2 syn.
I use the Colmans Cheese sauce mix is 8 syns for the pack. I only have about 1/3 of the pack so count it as 3. I only ever make a proper cheese sauce on a green day - definitely much nicer than the powdery mix!

I think the magazine said Asda stock the Laughing Cow cubes. Apparently 24 cubes in a pack at half a syn each but I'll definitely be getting some apericubes when I go to France next. Something to put on my list for Leclerc.
Thanks for the info about cheese sauce. It's hard sometimes being at target:o I have to keep telling myself I only really need to maintain so no problem having a few extra syns.Hiya - lovely evening here after a few damp hours in the middle of the day. And it's Friday :j so there are some wine syns planned :j
I googled Heron foods and they're in the North and Midlands. your dinners looked lovely Meg, although I was waiting for our resident speed cop to comment.
Have a good weekend everyone, hope we all get plenty of sunshine.

Edit to add p.s. - the forum seems to be working again.
Delighted that forum seems OK.
Like meg, I balance my Speed food across the day rather than at each meal so I'll forgive only a few carrots with the lovely gammon.;)
The BGTY burgers were a big hit. I'd be surprised if I bother making my own again. Bearing in mind 4 x 113g burgers (452g) cost £3 and 500g of Sainsbury's 5% mince is £4 plus the faff of making them myself there's no contest. The faff for me is that I have to make them before freezing and (although it might work) I've never cooked them from frozen. So different from HM (because I always add onions and capers) but very nice and meaty and a great standby for just one syn each.
I did them with a big pile of fried onions, tomato and mushrooms in the oven for the last 15 mins of the SW chips. Yummy!!0 -
:j I did it :j Today was an on plan day
Even though I was surrounded by cake and various other temptations and I kept strong. Fingers crossed the weigh in results are good!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

You are right selement kiwi doesn`t count as speed anymore but to be honest haven't really taken much notice of the changes I figured if it worked for me before then its going to work for me again.
A big consideration for me when choosing what fruit to buy is cost and this week I got reduced kiwi nectarines blueberries and plums , all at 50p a pack so that's whats on the menu :rotfl:Slimming World at target0 -

I have looked into muscle foods before but its so expensive
their new customer deal is half price at £75 but looking at the individual price would anyone really pay £16 for a 1.2 kg chicken
:rotfl: not for me not even at half the price.
Will be interested to see what the syns allowed offer is to be.Slimming World at target0 -
