I have been totally focussed this week
Been sticking rigidly to the plan, eating loads of speed foods and have kept my syns down. That coupled with daily exercise should hopefully have an impact, if not for this weeks weigh in then in the near future.
There have been a few emotional moments this week when I would usually turn to chocolate/cake however I have taken a different approach and managed to stay on plan.
Tonight I even made myself a salad while the rest of the family tucked into pizza which is a real favourite of mine. Surprisingly though I didn't feel deprived, in fact my salad was tasty and I didn't even have a nibble of the pizza
Now I need to avoid the wine and takeaway that I often indulge in on a Friday. So I bought a nice SW friendly selection of foods that are quick to prepare for tomorrow and I am going to to sip cucumber water instead of the wine. If I am prepared then it should be easier to keep on track.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Sorry to hear it was raining, I thought we all had sun today
Meg - that gammon looks lovely, hope it tasted as nice as it looks!
I lost 3.5lb this week :j:j I also took another positive step today though and went and joined the gym
Lots of swimming to be done once I get my induction with the trainer over and done with.. we went at a peak time tonight and it wasn't packed so that works for mecan't wait to swim in the outside pool, I can pretend i'm on holiday :rotfl:
First day at the gym is Saturday - i'm off out for cocktails tomorrow so we'll ignore the amount of syns i'll consume then!

Has anyone done the sw spaghetti carbonara on their website?
Can you swap ff fromage frais for quark? I will throw in a few sliced mushrooms for getting a speed veg. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Sick of this website malarky!I wonder if it is just this thread, and if MSE knows about it?Often MSE puts a banner across the top of the page saying they are aware.Haven't seen anything.
Today's menu:
Brunch: omelette with 10g cheese (2 syns),1 tab skimmed milk (less than 1/2syn),tomato,onion,served with bacon
Snack: apple,mandarin....discovered a trick today. With my kids,if the only snack I bring for the drive to swimming lessons is pieces of fruit, they will be eaten.Even fruits that they "don't like".Usually we have time for a snack at home between school and swimming lessons. The easiest thing to do in the 15 minutes we have is toast. No time for even that today,so to have in the car,I just gave them each an apple (which they do eat) and "kept the mandarin for myself"
.
Tea:quiche with the crust cut off: bacon, leek, onion, cheese (6.5 syns),served with SW chips, brocolli and tinned sweetcorn
Snack tonight: 2 Alpen light bars (HEB)
350 ml skimmed milk in teaSPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76
