Just let me know how much your target weight loss is up to week ending 28th June and i'll pop you on.. then all you need to do is post your results each week and i'll collect them and put them on there too..

    :D

OH is out tonight so I grabbed a SW Chicken Tikka meal for tea - I really liked it, although I didn't use all the sauce. I am stuffed though :)

Thanks Shala. I'd probably like to lose 7lb by the end of next month to keep me on track for holiday, so we'll go with that.
I'm having the SW tikka for dinner too with extra veg...here's hoping I like it!

    Chin up, shala.

    Hugs for you Mrs_R.

    Friday Review
Breakfast: hexb Weetabix, fruit (raspberries & blueberries), some hexa milk
Lunch: veg (runner beans, sweet potatoes, spring onions, tomatoes) frittata & beetroot, [STRIKE]yogurt[/STRIKE], fruit (nectarine)
Dinner: mince & tatties (1 syn for gravy), peas & carrots, WW Greek luscious lemon yogurt (½ syn)
    Snacks choice:
    shortbread finger (5 syns)
tomato & basil soup (1½ syns)

    total syns: 8 syns
Syns bank balance: 66 (for Saturday & Sunday)

    Saturday
    Breakfast: muesli & berries
Lunch: baked potato with Bolognese sauce & parmesan (1½ syns)
Dinner: who knows!?!?!? We may be out celebrating or trying to cheer ourselves up. Also I have an invitation for me and DH to go back to the football ground where there will be a buffet. Trouble is, if we win I will want to be with my family (DS & his son and DD and her son and husband – son’s wife and DD don’t like football), but I would also want to celebrate with the team, a once in a lifetime opportunity. If we lose, the atmosphere at the club could be dire and I’d feel as if I were a fair weather supporter (which I’m not btw). Oh well, que sera, sera.

Don’t think I’ll sleep tonight – too excited already!

Thank you for all the ideas for trying to introduce more fruit/veg to my lot.I will try a few of those.
Can people really hide hidden veg in,say, sauces? My kids are suspicious of anything that's new/different/altered/doesn't look the same as last time.People say "hide veg in bolognaise.",etc, but I have seen my kids pick through bolognaise, setting aside anything that looks like an onion,a piece of tomato,a herb.
Can't you taste cauli in mashed potato? Not that my kids are too bad with cauli-just curious.

I have eaten soooooooooooooo much food today. Will tot up the syns later, but I feel very, very full.

    Breakfast: bacon,scrambled egg,2 tomatoes

    Snack: nectarine and mandarin

No lunch, really, but did cooking with eldest daughter.Lovely time spent together, but she did make scones, which I chose the smallest one of,topped with a measured-out teaspoon of jam,and measured out teaspoon of cream.

While she was cooking those,I was experimenting with 1/2 syn chocolate brownies.Good grief!! I had heard that the recipe tastes too cocoa-y,and too artificial sweetener-y,so I decreased these slightly.13 yo and I tried them and thought "nahhhhh",6yo liked them.I tried another batch, using sugar instead of artificial sweetener (increases syn count to 1 per brownie),it was ok-a bit more cake-y,a chocolate fix,but not "the perfect chocolate fix".
Our group has a taster session on Monday.Over weekend I will try making jaffa cake cookies.

For tea I made Sw chicken korma, which was nice, but didn't taste anything like the korma from the take-away?I didn't have fresh ginger, and wasn't game to substitute with powdered.(korma less than 1 syn, rice syn-free).A couple of weeks ago I made chicken tikka masala, and it also was nice, but didn't taste anything like the take-away.Is it just me??

Tonight snacked on Alpen bars (HEB),and, wanting to cleanse the palate a bit, fresh strawberries.

Have had most, but not all of milk allowance
    Off to calculate scones' syns............

    Well,that works out at less than I thought.Sort of.Kinda.:D
DD made 11 scones, average of 11.5 syns each.I chose the smallest of them :A.Surprising to me,jam is only 1/2 syn per teaspoon-almost a free fruit :rotfl:.Cream was 1.5 syns worth (was also surprised this wasn't more.)
So syns for an afternoon of cooking was scones 13.5 syns max,and no more than a syn's worth of chocolate brownie.
Only other syns was coconut yoghurt in korma.
Not too bad.But gosh I am still very full.Going to have a day of salad and veg tomorrow,I think.
