I would like to go on the chart too if it isn't too late.

How do you manage to reply to so many posts? I find you are all so lovely leaving personal messages but I find there are so many posts it is difficult to know where to start. If anyone has a tip on how to do this, let me know. I can only see the post I'm writing and the one above on my computer.

    Evening all
Felt lousy today with the labyrinthitis and my anxiety playing up. Managed to get through the day somehow though. Been to reluctantly look at a wheelchair today. I really don't want to go down that route but finding it harder to get about with my crutches. Would only be using it on bad days though. I'm pretty sure my 100% sticking to plan is working though :) my clothes are feeling a bit looser. Would be good if I could get to 15 stone on Monday which would mean I was bang on target for my holiday. It would also mean a 2.5lb loss but we shall see!
    Today's menu plan.
B: 2 x Alpen Lights, 2 x bananas, cup of coffee with HEXA
Snack: MugShot (3 syns) packet of Hula Hoops Pufts (3.5 syns) drink of NAS, cup of decaf with HEXA
Lunch: SW ready meal, tinned mixed veg, NAS Ribena, pineapple kiwi and mango, total 0% Greek yogurt, coconut mullerlight
Tea: l/o mushy pea curry, Uncle Bens golden veg rice (2.5 syns)salad 2 Easy peelers, NAS Ribena
Supper: 2 Ryvita (3 syns) 1 laughing cow light, smoked salmon. NAS Ribena.
    Syns: 12
    Hope everyone's ok xxx

Much better dinner tonight saverupper. What sort of things do your children enjoy?

maman my 3 youngest children are the [STRIKE]fussiest little bleeders [/STRIKE]trickiestpeople in the world to feed.Everyday I wonder where I went wrong with them-was it becasue when I only had one baby,I spent more time and effort introducing new foods, spend more hours reading Annabel Karmel weaning books, cooking from scratch, etc. Then 16 months later when #2 came along, life got that little bit busier, maybe I put in less effort. Then with 3 and 4,kids different ages/school/after school activities, you are just happy they are eating anything at all!!
Youngest 3 don't like "wet" food: casseroles, stews, soups (unless it is tomato soup from a tin),sweet and sour, curry.Having said that, they all eat tomato soup from a tin, though 3 of them don't like tomatoes!!Son complains about peas, but eats them. They also seem to have an issue with "mixed food",eg cannaloni: pasta+spinach filling+tomato ontop+cheese. They would rather just have the cheesy pasta!!When they were little I used to make cheesy pasta with peas, corn, carrot and either chicken or ham in it.These days they would prefer the pasta plus the rest on the side, rather than mixed within.
I would love to try Hunters Chicken, but with chicken and cheese and a sauce, I know there would be groans all round,so I will save it either for a day I am home by myself,or one evening with OH after kids have eaten. They would just prefer chicken, mash, peas and corn.
Son(11) flat refuses to eat fruit. The only fruit he will eat,if I push it,is A strawberry dipped in sugar(because that's how grandma serves them, apparently ).And,no word of a lie,a strawberry(or grape, when he used to eat them),took him about 4-5 bites to eat.He does like watermelon. When he was little,he asked me to buy "that yellow-ball-fruit" that he had tried and enjoyed at school. When I finally identified this as being a honeydew melon,I bought one.He ate it for a few days, then never again.
I think the most outlandish thing I have they have ever eaten is chilli con carne (with some, but less, spice, and without the kidney beans, hence meal cooked in two separate fry pans).I don't even think they would enjoy fahitas ("Too hot").Maybe tacos, with lots of sour cream.
Until I started ramping up our mealplan, starting back on SW,it seems all we were ever eating was meat+ mashed potato+peas+corn+maybe carrot.Nobody ever complained at that .

    Hi everyone :)

Just done my weekly weigh-in and pleased to see another lb gone :)
I'm still checking in every day and reading all the encouragement on here. :grouphug:
I think progress is possible a tad slower than I would like but any progress is good progress. Maybe the summer is waiting for me! :rotfl:

Saver Upper - I think you just need to keep persevering with new foods but don't try to introduce more than one new food a week. You can definitely "hide" lots of veg in any of the sauces that they will eat especially things like chilli - have you tried making it with washed off baked beans? Apparently quite a few kids are happy to eat chilli with baked beans but not with kidney beans - have to say I was an adult before I'd actually eaten a chilli because my mum was so fussy!!! It was always very plain basic stuff - she wouldn't even eat onions so food was always very bland and tasted awful! The "experts" say that you need to try new foods at least 10 times before you can say you don't like it!

We're off again in the motorhome this weekend so the food will be on plan "home made ready meals". Syns are usually the downfall but will be drinking less red wine than usual as not taking much with us;). I really want to lose that 1.5lb before I go on holiday in 2 weeks.

    Today's EE plan is:

B - scrambled eggs on toast (HEB); strawberries; grapes
L - ham salad with FF vinegarette; beetroot; cornichons
D - sausage & bean casserole from freezer; mash (0.5 syn using a local butchers virtually fat free sausage) (there isn't much sausage left in the casserole - I'll be lucky if I get enough bits to make a whole one out of it:rotfl:

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - bread
    Syns - sausage 0.5; wine:D
