Maman, were you able to drive your car ? I am too scared. I daren't take 2 but the one does get me to sleep better. Do you. Know if they are habit forming.

I wouldn't feel confident driving when feeling woozy but I manage ok on one. Fortunately my back only plays up now and again so I've never had to take them for more than 4 or 5 days at a time. I only have them when pain is really bad as I still feel knocked out the following morning. HTH :)

I take a lot of different meds~pain, muscle relaxants & when muscles in spasm I take rather a lot of diazapam.
I dont drive long distances so basically just local driving.
I am usually able to decide as have had lots of practice but sometimes I wont drive & hate it :(

    Evening all :)

I had a few quiet minutes earlier before closing so took the opportunity to write a post, only to lose it all. So annoying!

Yesterday I decided to have a low carb/SP day, so I made braised beef with onions, mushrooms and carrots and intended to fill the plate up with cabbage, however when I cut the cabbage in half it was all black between the leaves. As I didn't have any more speed veg I decided to have mashed potato.

Another try today - had fruit and yogurt for breakfast, HM minestrone soup with a bacon sandwich (HEB) for lunch and chilli con carne with cauliflower rice for dinner. I'm hungry again now so glad I've still got HEs to use for cheese and ryvita. No wine tonight, I used 10 syns for a tub of rum and raisin ice cream - it's a new flavour so I had to do a taste test! It was delicious.

Smedley - well done for reaching your 10kg milestone :T

Hugs to everyone suffering with health issues at the moment, hope you feel better soon.

I'm struggling to keep up with the thread at the moment as the shop is so busy but tomorrow might be a bit quieter so catch up properly then.

Thanks for your good advice, maman. I will try to heed it.

    That's great, Smedley.

    Every little helps, Saver-upper!

Rummer, I think I’m your twin!

Glad to hear your shop is busy, Lois.

    Monday Review
Breakfast: hexb 35g Dorset muesli, big handful of raspberries, splash hexa milk
Lunch: hm tomato (& basil) soup (1½ syns), Shape 0% (apple crumble) yogurt (½ syn) , fruit (very hard pear which has been lurking in the fruit bowl with the bananas for 2 weeks! – ah well, it took a long time to eat)
Dinner: pasta Bolgnese, parmesan (1½ syns), mixed salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, syboes, red pepper)
Snacks: 2 ginger nuts (5 syns), 20g hexa Cheddar (figured I could have that much, taking into account my breakfast milk splash) & grapes

    Total syns: 8½
    Syns in ‘bank’: 96½

    Tuesday
Breakfast: hexb Weetabix, splash hexa milk, fruit
Lunch: hm tomato & basil soup (1½ syns), WW 0% fat yogurt, fruit
Dinner: roast pork, hasselback potatoes, sweet potatoes, runner beans
    Snacks choice:
hexa 3 mini babybel light & grapes
    Special K crisps (4½ syns)
    finger Co-op shortbread (5 syns)

Does anyone have ideas for hexa snacking? I don’t use milk in tea, so I usually have my hexa left over hence I often have cheese & grapes.

    Stay strong everyone.

I've had a quick read through all the posts, of which there are many (understatement, or what?).

Rather than loads of comments and writing an essay I'd just like to say congrats to losers; hugs to everyone who needs them & get well soon to those feeling poorly.

Another very synful weekend, including fish & chips for lunch on Saturday:eek:. Think I've probably used my week's syn allowance over the weekend! Had a sneaky weigh this morning and looks as though I've put on a couple of pounds so it's damage limitation between now and WI in Thursday morning.

    EE day today:

B - bacon, egg, mushrooms & a few baked beans
L - LO sweet chilli noodles & LO freekah, barley & bulgar wheat salad (bought at farmers market on Sunday) - not sure how many syns but will say 6 syns to cover the sweet chilli sauce & oil in the bought grain salad. There's loads of salady bits in the noodles and roasted peppers & tomatoes in the grain salad
D - gunpowder pork from the March magazine

HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day.

Have a HEB left but not sure whether I'll need it but probably not but it's there if I do.

  • Another STS for me, this week. Need to have a look see what I am missing.
