Hi everyone, am still hideously behind on the thread, was away the weekend and have an exam on Thursday so I'm a bit all over the place at the moment! Just reporting a belated (and thoroughly undeserved) -0.5lb loss. I'm probably too late for the chart - my fault entirely, but it'll keep until next week!
Wishing everyone well0 -
thankfully I'm back in target, 1.5lbs off so 0.5 from the upper end of my target so they won't see me for dust for 4 weeks :rotfl:SallyCinnamon wrote: »Just reporting a belated (and thoroughly undeserved) -0.5lb loss. Undeserved or not, just take it!!:T
I got 0.5lbs off at WI too. Really pleased as I'm obviously balancing off the eating out with good, on plan days at home. I'm now right at the very bottom of my target range. I can go out to lunch tomorrow and enjoy the sausage sandwich if I fancy it.;) I'm on holiday in just under 4 weeks so hoping to STS until I go.
Strange going to another group tonight. My own consultant is standing in there and she was pushed for help so I did the shop for her although I'd planned to weigh and go. She was telling me that SW (certainly in out area) is finding it really hard to recruit consultants and many are leaving. Apparently it now costs £2 500 to buy into the franchise and SW are getting more demanding with loads more meetings and training sessions. Oh and, in other news, SW are bringing out some BBQ items early next month. I remember burgers and chicken being mentioned.0 -
I have had another good day today.
Breakfast:fresh fruit-nectarine,mandarine,apricot
Snack: nectarine
Lunch:HM butternut squash soup (b. squash,onion,potato,garlic)
and salad:carrot,apple,strawberries,raspberries,blueberries,cherry tomatos
Tea:omlette with tomato,onion and 24g cheese,accompanied by bacon
Snack:2 Alpen light bars(HEB)
Skimmed milk(250ml) in cups of tea.
I think I have done really well today. Was a bit scared to have syns though, with a disappointing loss yesterday, even though I am the first to tell others they must have their syns (SYNS police is a great job, maman).

Jock - good decision calling target. If you enjoy going to group there is no reason why you can't go but arrive in time for Image Therapy and don't bother weighing. I sometimes don't weigh although I go most weeks as I'm on the social team. You just need to weigh once a month to keep access to the online site. I also think it helps keep you "sort of" on plan.
Saver - your food for yesterday doesn't look very substantial to me - it looks like an SP day so you could have had another HEB. Don't think I'd have felt full on all that fruit and not much else during the day! You really need to have some syns which of course you know! I sometimes don't really want any but I always make sure I have a few, a bit of gravy, a spoonful of mayo, some butter. If there is nothing I want like that then I'll often syn a Ryvita or 2 and some butter.
My EESP plan today:
B - scrambled eggs on 1 slice of toast (0.5 HEB)
L - 1/2 pack of SW chicken tikka ready meal (hope it's better than the sweet potato curry!); slice bread (0.5 HEB)
D - scallop & prawn stir fry - will include celery, carrot, spring onions, baby sweetcorn, tenderstem brocolli, mange tout & pak choi.
I'll add egg noodles for DH once mine is dished up.
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB1 - 2 slices of bread (1 for breakfast; 1 for lunch)
HEB2 - 2 Ryvita; butter 4 syns

Thanks everyone, I need to keep going at least some weeks I think. I'm hoping the tips I've learned will be enough to keep me on plan vaguely, eating a SW breakfast, keeping the bread to a minimum, etc.
As for the HiFI bars, I really like them and nothing has come close. We really like the salted caramel ones, which are six syns, so there is plenty of alternatives. I like the rocky road and rhubarb ones as well, but I've never come across a decent alternative.0 -
I'd echo what denise said saverupper. I think you should try and have more substantial meals and have your syns. You don't have to have 15 a day but you shouldn't avoid them completely.
I think we're all in the position where we must have eaten lots of synful stuff at one time. What do you miss? Is it a daily chocolate fix? Or biscuits? or a pizza with the family? If you're too sustain it long term you need to factor in syns. It's not having them that's the problem, it's having a plan to keep them under control.
The other thing I'd be careful of is having too much fruit rather than veg for Speed food. SW don't specify although they have made a gesture by removing some fruits from the Speed list.
Definitely an off plan lunch today but breakfast and dinner will be SW so I'll only write those down.
EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, baked beans, bacon, HEA milk for teas
L: off planSW spaghetti Bolognese (carrots, tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms) Parmesan (part of HEA as not much milk today)

Went to Asda this morning. The packs of 8 Laughing Cow triangles are 94p at the moment so stock up - esp if you eat 2 packs a week.
The packs of Quorn chicken pieces (fresh) are £1.46. I am a meat eater, but I do eat Quorn for cost purposes. Bought 3 packs of Quorns frozen l/f sausages as they are syn free.
Breakfast - HEB Weetabix and HEA S Milk
Lunch - salad with a selection of free cooked meats . apricots, satsumas
At work break - ML yog, cherries
Dinner - 2x Premium sausages. I took then out the freezer and no idea which ones they are as wrapped in foil. After a browse of the syn values of Asda ExSp and Sainsburys TTD (as that is what I buy)- I am putting them down as 10 syns. Love my decent sausages. I used to eat 3 of them at a time, now its only 2. Served with JP, courgette, baby corn, broccoli, carrot. Another 5 syns for a glass of wine.
It will be my first weigh in tomorrow. I have noticed already my work trousers are not tight. Last couple of weeks, I found them very tight to sit down in. I knew I had to do something with my weight. I could have ordered trousers the next size up, but that is not pro-active thinking with my weight. As with the bigger trousers, I felt more comfortable in them, and perhaps gain a few more pounds. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. STS at weigh in this morning. Talk about slow and steady...............
I am really trying hard this week, nothing should get in my way so keep your fingers crossed I can keep out of the biscuit tin.
Talk today about new products from Iceland. She didn't say exactly what but said those of us that enjoy bbqs and sw chips will be pleased. Maybe syn free oven chips methinks.
Busy day ahead so got to fly.0 -

Yes spare yourself from having to buy the next size up and put them on in the car in Tesco car park :rotfl:0
