Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: cold pork and fried veg with beetrootLancashire hotpot (carrots, onions, mushrooms, leeks) with cabbage
Syns: squirt of syrup plus won't be removing all visible fat from lamb.
Very grey here, although not actually raining, so we 've had porage now decided to make a hotpot!! Don't you just love the British summer:rotfl:
I'm off to WI tonight (probably weigh and go at a local group) so will pick up new magazine. I invented a cod bake last night so it'll be interesting to see how SW do it.0 -
Feeling much better after a check up with the practise nurse - my blood pressure is down a lot (it was way too high even with medication), and she's really pleased with my weight loss.
I needed that little boost to help me over my desire to overeat this week. I was really starting to slip back into old habits but I know I will feel awful if I do.
I'm still having a couple of days off plan but within reason instead of being out of control.
Good luck all xxI believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Morning all
It's gone quiet again so having a quick catch up. Shame about the weather today, the forecast did say today was going to be warm and sunny but it's cool and cloudy, but at least it's not raining.
Going to do fish pie tonight, Hairy Bikers style, which I estimate at around 6 syns for the whole thing as it has cornflour in it and breadcrumbs on the top. It's a nice recipe and it's lighter without mashed potato topping. We'll have it with some new potatoes and a medley of vegetables, probably babycorn, green beans, and asparagus.
Lunch is going to be the same as yesterday, I enjoyed it so much! HM minestrone soup and a bacon sandwich.
No wine again tonight so I'm planning what else to use syns for, and trying to resist the apple turnovers with cream that are on display!
Have a good day everyone, back later.

I'm giving SW group a miss this week, I cannot be bothered going. I've basically been about 13 stone for ages, but I've probably put a pound on this week. So I cannot really be fussed going there each week to have to justify a meal out or be celebrated for having lost the 2lbs I put on the week before.
I think I'm ready to declare a target. I am going to try really hard for the next week and get weighed in, and that'll be that. I'm comfortably in 34 in jeans and M clothes, my BMI is 23.
I just don't see the point in struggling on for £5 a week, just to lose a final few pounds.
What happens as a target member? Do you need to go every week still?0 -
Hi jockosjungle.Congratulations on deciding to call target.
Whan at target, there is no requirement to attend group every week, though it s a good idea to attend once a month to keep access to SW online.
When you set your target weight,as long as you stay within 3 lb either side of target, you don't pay.If you DO go over or under target, you are given a week's grace to get back into target, before you have to start paying again.
Well done,and good luck.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

Thanks Saver! I quite like going but it's starting to cost me a fortune in fees and those bars they sell. My wife loves the Salted Caramel, and I can happily munch through a whole pack of them.
So I don't need to go every week? I was a little confused as I can't see how the 3lb thing works if you don't need to go every week. I just wouldn't go back until I was back within range.0 -
No,def not every week.To be honest,I am not sure how they enforce it when you don't go either.Previously I have also stayed away until I lose a couple of pounds to get back into target.
The HI-Fi bars are expensive.I have never bought them.I wonder if you can find an alternative you and your wife enjoy? I buy Alpen bars(also expensive, but not quite as much as HF's ,and often on special, when I stock up.
Aldi also has an equivalent bar (2 for a HE),but not sure of flavours.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76

When I got to target I was given a leaflet which said weigh in once a month, like you say just stay away until back in the 3lb limit.Slimming World at target0

I agree it does sound you're ready to call target jock. Maybe if you kept losing (which is what happened to me) you could reset it lower (which I chose not to).
I just go back enough to make sure I keep online access. I think technically you could have to rejoin (£10) next time if you don't go back within the week. It's a bit like you aren't supposed to miss weeks without declaring a holiday/illness. I suppose it's up to the consultant how they operate. I think it's happened to me once or twice but they seem to have a way of over-riding the system if they choose to.
What I try to do is keep away when I know I've put weight on (I just go by how tight my clothes feel) so that when I go to WI I'm in target range. A very few times I've gone when I've been slightly over to force me to rein in seriously. Gong under seems to have happened more times than that though.
Remembered that there will be a few syns in my hotpot as I'm using a SW recipe which has a tsp of gravy granules added to the stock. Won't be many shared with DH though.0
