:TResult on the pie (or rather lack of it) lois but thanks for raising it. I had discussion with my DH about comparison between pie syns and wine syns and stood in Aldi today comparing calories in pain au lait and two types of cookies that he likes. At least it's progress on buying all three!I've searched everywhere I can think of but cannot find out if I have to cancel my group membership or just not turn up again, does anyone know pls?
lois is right, it just lapses if you don't attend and you can re-join any time if you wanted. Food diaries should be returned weekly AFAIK. Your group sounds weird but if it's the only one where you live then perhaps you're better off just going it alone with us. We'll comment on your food diary daily if you want.ScarletMarble wrote: »I have fresh apricots, satsumas and apples. I only buy fruit and which is on offer. My dinner has broccoli, leeks, carrots and green beans all speed.
With the yoghurt, I found as well all Mullerlights yoghurts, bar three or four - choc sprinkles with cherry layer and the cheesecake ones are syn free. Plus the WW yoghurts and Activia 0% are syn free. The WW fromage frais with a fruit layer are half a syn each. Need to find out if the Activia 0% snack pots are syn free.
One of these brands are on offer somewhere.
I am on a learning curve. So I will forget not all fruit is speed etc.
What is the policy with able to use more syns in a day - more than 15? Could you only use five syns per day over five days and use 25-30 more if got a party etc
All the Activia 0% listed is free as far as I can tell.
SW official policy is for up to 15 syns a day but that's based on the assumption that everyone needs a treat every day. If you can manage with less then averaging across the week works for many of us on here. I've been at target for almost 4 years and I've used a 'syn bank' of 105 syns a week since Day 1. I eat fairly syn free all week and save my syns for weekends. I tend to use about 80 syns Friday evening to Sunday and then the rest on gravy and sauces in between.
Looks like another good day saver-upper, even if your soup is obscene!:rotfl:
Good to hear you're well enough to be at work MrsR and brilliant about the wigs. Your consultant has certainly redeemed herself. Looking at your menu, you know you need more speed food.

I've been pretty good with the veg and fruit this week, maman. In my defence it's because Saturday is shopping day so I'm just scraping the remnants of what's left in the fridge/cupboards
I'm not in paid work as such, it's just a work placement that the JobCentre arranged for me. It's helping adult learners with literacy/numeracy. It's just four hours four days a week but I absolutely love it and it's valuable experience for when I finish my degree and apply for my postgrad to teach adult literacy. I've dragged myself in every day despite still feeling dizzy- I'm quite proud of that

Ooh thanks maman about the syn bank.
When I go to my parents after work on Sunday, mum often makes a hm crumble (more fruit and a dusting of hm crumble topping - no fat) and uses lf creme fraiche.1.5 syns for a tbsp. Keep telling her to buy ff Greek yoghurt. Even tell her where it is in Asda plus cheaper per 100g. Or a slice of some tart. The Aldi SS plum crumble tart is 9 syns per slice. Not told my parents about SW. They still ask questions about WW.
I don't drink on Mondays and Tuesdays, so could use min syns these two days.
Then on 14th June, I am going to a pub for a colleague's retirement do. Just had a online look of their menu and I am prob having rump steak and king prawn salad. The description says salad vinegarette dressing is served on the side. I will volunteer to drive any colleagues, so stick to sparkling mineral water. I probably nick the odd chip or onion ring from my colleagues' dishes and allow plenty of syns to cover that. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Morning all
Reporting in with a STS this week Shala. Not sure why, but my digestive system seems to be sluggish at the moment, I keep getting indigestion and I haven't really felt hungry, almost as if everything has slowed down. I might do a couple of low carb days and up the speed food.
:rotfl: at the obscene soup!
Well, it's taken me all morning to write this as we've been so busy so I'm going to post it now and hopefully catch up again later.
Have a good day.
