Well done to the losers :j
I manage to stick to the plan during the week it is the weekends that are totally my downfallHowever I cope in the week because I use most of my syns to have a sweet treat after dinner.
So this coming week I am going to use my slow cooker on Friday and Saturday to prevent having a takeaway/ pizza and I am going to curb my syns during the week so I can save some for wine at the weekends.
In my mind this is a lifelong change so I am content to try different approaches until I find the one that is right for me even if that means loosing less in the interim.
I saw on fopperholic that she enjoys quark with food flavouring and sweetener so I have gather some together to give it a shot as that would be a syn free treat. Not sure how much of each to mix together though?Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Awkward... Our temporary house guest offered to grab some bits from the shop and we requested wholemeal bread... He only went and got granary :-( I've always hated 'bits' in my bread and it doesn't count as heb! But also don't wanna be an ungrateful meanie! Frusrating....Trying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0

So sorry you had a gain wiz.
It has to be to do with the medication as I thought you'd stuck to plan quite well this week (as every week). Can you talk about it with your GP?

I've always tried to have a pub type meal if we're in at weekends but SW style. So things like gammon steaks with chips or curry and latterly the Tesco pulled pork. I've not read it myself but I think SW do a 'fake away' type recipe book for just that reason. For me it all helps with my looking forward to weekends mentality which helps me keep syns low during the week.TakeItEazy wrote: »Anyone watch 'Born Naughty' on Ch4 last week? I've recorded it tie but yet to watch. I'm sceptical along the nature/nurture spectrum but am interested to see what they say.
Usual stuffed Sunday evening feeling:(. Next meal out might be Tuesday but not sure yet. We're off to cinema but an evening performance so will need to eat before. Whatever, I'll be 100% on plan tomorrow.
Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: fried potatoes, ham, fried veg (tomato, mushrooms, spring onion, tomato) beetrootroast chicken, SW roast potatoes/parsnips/carrots, red cabbage, green cabbage
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, gravy, stuffing, weekend wine.:)0 -

This afternoon the whole family went to a huge park (an estate actually.)All 4 kids took either heelies or rollerskates with them, and had a great time .We all have a fun watching people's faces when one of the children are walking, then suddenly starts "heely-ing".Small children going past say "Look,mummy-that girl's got wheels on her shoes!" Lots of double-takes
.
I packed a picnic for the afternoon,which included a pasta,bacon,lettuce,tomato salad,and HM dressing,which was quite nice,lovely for a change,very filling,and FREE.
Menu today:
Breakfast:1 apple,1 mandarin,2 nectarines
Lunch:BLT salad with dressing, lots of cucumber and carrot sticks, mini corn
Tea:chicken tikka with Batchelors pilau rice (old pkt, free).
2 nectarines for dessert.
I had made the tikka from the Fakeaway book.It was nice, and the family did not complain as much as I had expected (I had cooked up some plain chicken strips just in case, but didn't need them :T)
I didn't use red chillies in the recipe (wasn't going to buy a whole bag of them to use one for one meal),and had forgotten to buy a lime,so used lemon juice, and realised I didn't have fromage frais,so used creme fraiche.Apart from that, the recipe was exactly the same :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
I say there was no complaints, but 6yo did complain a bit.But she has been very tired this afternoon, and did have a big bump on the head at the park(coming down a slide head-first will do that),so I only insisted on her eating 3 small pieces of chicken, with as little sauce as possible, and no rice!Couldn't be doing with the battle today
