Just had a very ermmm different lunch to the one planned. I accidently left afish in butter sauce out of freezer so thought OH well fish I butter sauce peas and wedges. It wasn't till I came to eat it that I discovered the handful of peas liberally scattered over the fish before microwaving were wait for it Blueberries Though once I got over the shock it wasn't bad at all. Specsavers here I come.

I'll take your word for it that it wasn't bad! But then again, we eat redcurrants with savoury foods so why not?

Is frozen fish in sauce still free food?

It used to be, years ago. I often had 2 portions on a red day with cauliflower to mop up all the sauce - yum yum. :D

I'm sure that err...slim gorilla at the front is me meg. Insisting on the Speed fruit instead of the banana which is just free food!:rotfl:

:T to all today's losers and STS.:)

lois, cod in sauce is about 3 syns for butter sauce but 2.5 for parsley if you fancy it. I used to find it so disappointing pre SW to have that tiny bit of fish all swimming in sauce but maybe now I'd look at it in a different light. Especially if I topped it with blueberries.:D

swiper, I haven't tried the SW pulled pork recipe but can recommend the Tesco BBQ pork (which you then pull apart) which is FREE and lois enjoyed Lidl's BBQ beef at the weekend and that was quite low syn.

That's a really good day saverupper. Almost EESP except for the mash on cottage pie. I can't see a HEB (bread?) there and if you didn't have much milk then the cheese is no problem you can call that your HEA.

I had a great meal out tonight. Restaurant was excellent and so worth going off plan. Main course made me laugh I had a delightful, melt in the mouth steak with roasted (some oil?) cherry peppers on the vine and precisely 8 chips!! Beautifully cut and built into a tower.;)

    Hello!

I had a good day today! I only had one snack – and that was the Ryvita etc, so I saved the lemon curd cake’s 7 syns! The pear was still brick hard, btw.

    Friday should be
Breakfast: mackerel in tomato sauce on hexb toast
Lunch: cold meats & pickles with salad stuff, clementine, WW yogurt
Dinner: Aaaah! The cupboard is bare, so first the bad news – pizza. Now the good news – a) it has lots & lots of veg and b) I’m not fussed about pizza so I won’t have much - no more than ¼ of 10” thin crust, so about 75g (10 syns), banana (to fill me up!)
Snacks: hexa mini babybel light with grapes

    Syns planned: 10
    Syns in bank: 62

    Night all.

No love its not free now, mine was youngs cod in butter which is 2 syns, I used to have Sainsburys but they are 6 syns.

I usually use one to make a fish pie as there is a lot of sauce and I can add plain frozen fish and prawns to it but left this one out of freezer so had to use it.

    Morning all

Reporting in with a loss of 1lb for the chart please Shala.

Good luck for your weigh-in today Hanert (and anyone else in the Friday weigh in club :D).

Well done Swiper, Djenks, Lantanna and everyone who has lost weight this week.

Thanks for the syns information for fish in sauce. I like your fish pie idea Meg - definitely going to give that a go.

Not sure what we're having for dinner, the only meals left on my week plan need to be done in the slow cooker and I haven't taken any meat out of the freezer. DH is on cooking duties tonight too, so we might need to pop out later to get something he's comfortable with cooking. Or maybe we'll have spag bol ... decisions decisions!

    Have a good day everyone.
