Hope you don't mind me commenting, You don't look like you snack much so you could bulk out your main meals a bit.. Your tea doesn't look big at all, could you have added some potato type item to it? Wedges, a jacket, chips and a big salad?

You can still have free or speed foods if you're trying to make up for the pizza :D obviously speed foods would be better...

Also you don't mention your hea - do you have it in drinks?

Enjoy your buffet at work tomorrow x

Of course I don't mind you commenting :-)
Tonight's dinner was smaller than usual because last few days we haven't planned well. I think some SW chips with it plus more speed would have been a good idea but we were trying to have something quick tonight. I'll try to go to extra effort next time though as we were both a bit hungry after.

Maybe at some point I should batch cook some chips and freeze so it's like I have freezer chips ready to just go in the oven? Not tried that sort of thing before. I suppose get to the boiling then drying off stage then freeze?

Snack wise I do normally have the odd pack of crisps or curly wurly but didn't today as I was trying to be extra good!

My hea is milk in my tea everyday (unless I desperately want cheese and haven't had much tea!) as I normally have 4 or more cups of tea a day :-)

Prob for the best in my current state :rotfl:

I used to make Nimble Pizza Toasts all the time and have them with a massive salad.

    Must do that again soon

What are nimble pizza toasts? Sounds interesting x

    Oh,blimey,what a day!!
I swapped around my roster to have today off.Think it would have been less stressful to go to work icon_eek.gif.

I wanted to have today off JUST so I could spend the morning indulging in looking online for new recipes/menu planning, then this afternoon doing a big shop.(All very hard to do with 4 kids running around).

All was going well until I had to pick up the kids:3/4 of them had appointments with the dentist, who chose this afternoon to run late.Had to phone a friend to collect my 4th child.By the time I collected her, with all the groceries in the car, there was no room for everyone .So we walked home-great for BM,but not having had anything to eat since breakfast, and it now being 5pm and time to start tea,I was feeling the effects.

Then I spent nearly an hour making SW cottage pie and lots of veg that weren't frozen peas and frozen corn-well,you would think I was trying to slowly poison them the way 2 of my kids were carrying on .
I told them we really must expand our vegetable repertoire-there will be lots more variety in the next few weeks. They were not impressed, and there was a scene  :o.
But we are all friends now.Til next meal-time,I suppose. After tonight I am seriously considering cooking 2 different meals-one for those who are prepared to try a few new meals, and something else for those who want to go through the rest of their lives eating no veg except peas (under protest),corn and mashed potato or SW chips!
    What a nightmare.

    My menu for today was:
    Brekky: Muller-lite and blueberries
Afternoon snack while cooking tea:a mandarin
The tea I apparently tried to murder a third of my family with: cottage pie (onion, carrot, potato),Syns for skimmed milk and Flora lite marg.Served with small amount of frozen peas and corn, mange tout, combination of tomato/plum tomatos,
    Dessert:lo-fat yoghurt with strawberries
Snack: Bueno bar (only one finger of the twin pack.Never done that before :A) 6.5 syns
Used a bit (but not much) of my 350ml milk allowance.

Think I'll go to work for a rest tomorrow :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh dear what a day saverupper.

Although your eventual menu was quite SW friendly despite missing lunch.

Two things I'd suggest: one that you try some batch cooking so that you can put together a cottage pie quickly. I tend to do a big batch of savoury mince for the freezer that I can turn into cottage pie or just have with new potatoes. If you find it easier just make two cottage pies, eat one and freeze one. The second is that you put a selection of vegetables out in serving dishes. I do this just for the two of us but it works really well with children. They like serving themselves and will often try things if they can take a portion to suit them. The bonus is that anything left I keep use up for my lunches. It's better than plating up and having waste. I do the same with potatoes. This way you don't make separate meals, just the same meal with a choice of veg and make sure you take plenty of the Speed veg.;)

Well it's WI again this morning but definitely expecting a gain this week but hoping I've done enough reining in for it to be fairly small - but I've got about 4lb to play with so I'll still be within target.

Having a Red day for a change today:

B - mix of grapes, strawberries & raspberries - after WI
    L - egg mayo & cucumber sandwich (HEB + 0.5)
D - fish curry; cauliflower rice
    S - crispbread/cheese (HEB/HEA)

HEA1 - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEA2 - low fat cheese
    HEB1 - bread
    HEB2 - 4 Dark Rye Ryvita

No other syns planned but who knows?

Back later once I've been to WI and done some more shopping!

Just basically 2 slices of Nimble bread topped with passata and then whatever you would normally put on a pizza covered in HEA Cheese.

I normally put the passata on toast the bread a little in the oven before adding the toppings I like chicken, mushrooms, onion, and peppers and then after I've heated all that through in the oven top with cheese until melted.

    Chicken tikka ones are good

Must get on to this its been so long since I did this, could happen tonight!

:T oh that's great lush. Do you think maybe your 'protein shake' breakfast might be filling you up? It'll be interesting to see how you do after a full week of this especially as BF is away and you can plan around yourself.

Today's not going to be a good day. I've had a SW breakfast (kippers and HEB bread), probably have a JP at lunchtime to finish off some cottage cheese & beetroot in fridge, out to eat tonight. I've just had a look at a sample online menu and it's all jus and coulis and foam and broth that type of stuff. So portions will be small but I doubt they'll be SW friendly. Still, has to be better than an all you can eat buffet!:rotfl:

Like denise I'm well within target (at least I was last week) so I'll just get back on the wagon afterwards and keep plodding (:wave:if you're lurking beanie).

I'm not expecting sympathy. It's the way I've chosen to stay at target (lurching from off plan and back again). It suits my lifestyle better than staying 100% on plan and having a few extra HEXs which is what SW recommend.:(
