Morning all
I do enjoy reading people's menus to get ideas and I love the sound of the dill and spring onion mash greentiger, I must give that a go. Also, I keep telling myself I'm going to use beetroot more, it comes up as speed food in lots of people's meals. I'm not very adventurous with it and only usually have it cold with salad - if you have it with a hot meal do you heat it? Cook it from scratch? Any tips welcome!
Saver-upper - I feel for you, trying to keep 4 children happy but I don't think you should make work for yourself by making different meals. The children will get used to eating different foods if you persevere. My MIL had 7 children and she used to cook separately for them all at different times of the day to suit their varied tastes and schedules. She basically spent the whole day cooking and washing up!
I'm going to have a go at the SW chicken curry recipe from the ready meal today. I finally found the Tandoori spice mix that's in the recipe and I have all the other ingredients so it's a go. I'm going to adjust the amount of spices though, the recipe says 3 tsps of Tandoori spice plus cumin and chilli which will be too hot for DH. I usually use a jar of sauce and syn it, but this will be free so I'll save the syns for something else.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all
WI for me today and I was surprised to find a 1.5 loss on the scales. Totally undeserved I feel as I've had a couple of binge days including yesterday where I just ate everything in sight! I did cram in the speed food yesterday as well as the naughty stuff so that must have helped me a little. I really have to stop buying synned stuff in advanceI just can't control myself.
Well done to the losers and STSers this week0 -
:T oh that's great lush. Do you think maybe your 'protein shake' breakfast might be filling you up? It'll be interesting to see how you do after a full week of this especially as BF is away and you can plan around yourself.
I definitely think it is; I've had some 'solid' breakfast today too as I had a smaller shake but we will see. I don't have much for lunch today either as I'm not getting a lunch break as I have to drive to an event instead!************************************

Today's not going to be a good day. I've had a SW breakfast (kippers and HEB bread), probably have a JP at lunchtime to finish off some cottage cheese & beetroot in fridge, out to eat tonight. I've just had a look at a sample online menu and it's all jus and coulis and foam and broth that type of stuff. So portions will be small but I doubt they'll be SW friendly. Still, has to be better than an all you can eat buffet!:rotfl:
Like denise I'm well within target (at least I was last week) so I'll just get back on the wagon afterwards and keep plodding (:wave:if you're lurking beanie).
I'm not expecting sympathy. It's the way I've chosen to stay at target (lurching from off plan and back again). It suits my lifestyle better than staying 100% on plan and having a few extra HEXs which is what SW recommend.:(
Pouring down with rain here. Don't you just love British weather!
I'm with you all the way Maman. When I first got to target I have having extra HEBs but still losing, then adding extra HEAs and still losing. At one stage I was up to 7 HEBs & 3 HEAs!!! It just wasn't sustainable (it's extremely difficult eating that many HEBs in a day! but the 3 HEAs was nice as it meant I could have milk and cheese on the same day).
I much prefer eating the way I do now where I have most of my syns at the weekend and then cut back during the week (or really rein it in if I've had more than usual at weekend)!
Think I probably overestimated how many syns I had at the weekend as I ended up with a STS today:T.
Have just had my egg mayo & cucumber sandwich and am going to have some more raspberries as I only had 3-4 in the pot of fruit this morning and have now bought some more. Didn't need any other fruit today but will need to top up when I go shopping early next week.

Just had a very ermmm different lunch to the one planned. I accidently left afish in butter sauce out of freezer so thought OH well fish I butter sauce peas and wedges. It wasn't till I came to eat it that I discovered the handful of peas liberally scattered over the fish before microwaving were wait for it Blueberries Though once I got over the shock it wasn't bad at all. Specsavers here I come.Slimming World at target0

This made me giggle remembering my dear Mums shock and horror when she visited and I did a separate meal for my two kids.
She was a great believer in shut up and eat what you've got, or else.:rotfl:Slimming World at target0 -
Hi all,
Sorry I've been a bit awol since I first posted. It's been a bit manic here!
I haven't really followed SW at all since I signed up and I'm really struggling to find any sort of motivation to do anything. Coupled with that, my once beautiful, thick, curly hair has started thinning over the last few months and is now not as thick and not as curly (this is the first time I've said anything to anyone about this other than DH). Anyway, I'm going to the doctor about this tomorrow as it's a sudden loss, rather than gradual. The last time this happened was after I had DD2, which is normal. Considering the last baby I had was DD3 in 2009, this is most definitely not the cause this time.
Anyway, I'm going to start in earnest now. I find my biggest downfall is crisps because DH is a manager at a crisp factory (not Walkers), so we always have them in the house and they're YUMMY!
Will keep trying as I really need to lose some weight, otherwise I'm going to lose my sanity!0 -
Ive updated my signature so its there to hit me a slap in the face every time and to spur me on into doing something about it.

That signature will soon say back at target :cool:0
