Hi all
Congratulations losers. Hugs to everyone else who needs them.
I'm haven't been focused at all over the last couple of weeks. Unlike so many of you who have real issues to contend with, I don't. I've no excuse and I've got to say it's resulted in another +1 for me this week.
I'm going to review my thinking and see if that will get me back on track. Last week, for various reasons, I had 5 meals out and the resolve just ebbed away after the second. This week I'm at home all week until Sunday when DH and I are going for champagne (not me) lunch at Two Fat Ladies (how appropriate lol) restaurant in Troon.
Week's menu is done (as always) so no excuses there either.
So today is
Breakfast: hexb French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries and tblsp maple syrup (1 syn)
Lunch: hm broccoli soup, WW strawberry tart yogurt
Dinner: LMcC rosemary & red onion sausages, 200g McCains rustic oven chips (2 syns), baked beans
Snacks: hexa mini babybel light (last one) and 20g Cheddar to make up the allowance
half a slice of hm lemon curd loaf (7 syns) Ingredients total 139.5 syns and I can get 10 (fairly big) slices out of the loaf, so 14 syns per slice.
I'm also going back to banking syns to see if that helps, so
Syns planned today: 10

First day on my new hybrid plan -
breakfast was as instructed by the nutritionist (spinach, banana and choc shot with almond milk in the bullet blender - needs protein powder but it hasn't arrived yet!)
lunch - I felt so full from breakfast I've just powered through and had 6 giant choc buttons and 4 of bf's chips
tea - should be savoury mince with sausages. I'll have 2 sausages (1.5 each as asda reduced fat pork) and 6 for the rest (couple of potato croquettes, gravy)
Also taking my one week break from my tablets...not looking forward to it but I've already put it off for two weeks and now my body hates me so I think that will be making me hold a little extra weight back too
Going to make some soup for work - planning leek and potato possibly leek and sweet potato depending on how long things take
experiencing high stress levels at trying to find a mortgage provider currently now we are in love with a new build************************************

Like you I find eating out an issue. This week I have two, potentially 3 meals out planned. But I was more strict with myself when I was getting to target and it's soooo worth it. I always use a syn bank and save them up for weekends. So I used to try and engineer invitations for eating out to weekends when I had the syns to cope, make as wise choices as possible when out, try to go to places that did SW friendly food (jackets and salads) and just have a pot of Earl Grey or similar when I was in coffee shops mid week. I found it easier to be very low syn Monday to Thursday (still do) because although I'd tell myself I'd be 'good' at the weekend to compensate it never really happened. It all helps.:)
I wouldn't be me if I didn't point out you seem to be short on Speed food today so maybe you're having a Green day? In that case you could have extra HEXs if you want.0 -

Shala - the chorizo potatoes sound good! I use a small amount of it when making Spanish Rice - I use 25g in 3-4 portions; plus a small amount ofLO roast chicken.
Love chorizo, but not paprika which is weird :rotfl: Spanish rice sounds lush.. :drool:lol Lantanna don't you know our lovely Shala by now, she will protest a bit for show but welcome you back with open arms, in fact am quite surprised she hasn't been to drag you back screaming. :rotfl: Glad you are feeling better lovely.
:shhh: don't tell everyone the secret - I have to scare everyone into sticking with the challenge so they'll stay accountable..
I'm the "challenge cop"like maman is "speed food cop"!
Where's me stickyou will all obey!!please..

2 quick questions about going to group if I may, why does the Consultant take the food diary's? I thought it may be to go through them and let you know where you're going wrong or right. Also is group just for getting told off if you've gained and to go through how much everyone has lost or sts? I was hoping to get some tips but I'm not going to pay almost five squid each week if it's just to hear everyone's progress or lack off. Or is it a team thing? and I've got the whole concept wrong. Food diary - consultant checks them over to see whether you are eating the right things etc and will let you know the following week if you are doing things right or if there are things you could do better etc. They do this for the first 4 weeks because SW have a guarantee that they will refund all your money if you're doing things right and you don't lose any weight. According to my consultant SW have never had to refund anyone's money.
Image Therapy is different in each group I think but quite often it will just be going round the room saying how much someone has lost or gained. You don't get told off! It is quite easy to get tips if, when it's your turn, you ask questions or ask for some help with something.
Other weeks you'll find that there will be quizzes, tasters, various competitions - Woman of the Year; Man of the Year; Couple of the Year; Biggest Loser etc etc.
HTH.

I'll give you my 2p's worth hanert but I'm sure answers will vary. Basically it's down to the quality of your consultant, they seem to vary hugely although they've all had the same training I assume. The basic formula for all groups is much the same but good consultants can whip through the formulaic stuff and get on to promoting discussion and sharing tips from people's experiences.
So to answer your questions. The idea is that the consultant goes through your food diary and can let you know if you're following the plan properly and give you hints how to improve weightloss. My consultant doesn't hand them back for at least a week but I know others text people quickly.
There shouldn't be any telling off. In fact I sometimes wish they would rather than congratulating people for staying despite a gain. And everyone has to have applause even if they've gained. I hate that bit.:(
So it can be as basic as you've suggested but, with a good consultant, you'll get tips and ideas. Also, (just like lots of training courses I've endured over the years where the trainer's been useless) I often get good ideas just from talking to other group members. And I've made lots of new friends/acquaintances that I never would have met in other areas of my life. My consultant is nice but dim, so once she's trotted out the 'party line' there's not much else there although she's friendly enough.
It'll be interesting to hear what others think.:)0
