I'm dreadful with pork crackling too b-e-g. My best bet is taking it off and throwing it in the bin but that's so hard.:(

We cooked pork in SC and DH kindly put the crackling in oven together with roasties. I will do my best to avoid in the future. Might steer clear of pork joints for a while - out of sight out of mind hopefully. ;) Pork dinner tonight with tiny little bit of sage and onion stuffing and about large teaspoons of apple sauce.

I see you are being a little devil maman not counting that cornflour :naughty: Thinking about it, I don't think we usually count it either :rotfl:

    Belated birthday wishes selement

Will look out for the beef in Aldi Lois

Hopefully you will be rewarded at next wi Sally for all your hardwork.

    Take care beanie xx

Managed to get our lawns cut this afternoon so a little bit of BM there :D.

We did put some to one side for DS when he returned home today but decided that it wouldn't taste as nice as eating it fresh  :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks for the explanation of speed/free etc as well. I think I get SP just from what I've seen online but EE was baffling me still - am I right in saying you need two thirds free and a third speed...? Plus only one HE of each? I have the list of S and P foods saved to my phone - so for EE I would need a third from the S list? Sorry to be a pain! I'm sure this has been explained hundreds of times before on here :o

1/3 of everything you eat should be speed, the rest does not have to be free. Try to get some protein in there and free is better so you can save your syns for treats :) Yes use the S list. My friend doesn't like vegetables so she eats fruit whilst cooking dinner to get her S in (she has good losses every week too!)
One of each HE every day is correct (not one with each meal!), any extra you can have it but it will have a syn value. Nothing is forbidden on slimming world, but must be synned.

Maman, I have also had 3 green beans as well as a couple of sprigs of cauliflower Whoo, Whoo ! :D

Dinner. Loose potato pie ( no crust ) mushy peas, 4 green beans.:D

    Wow!!!!:rotfl:

Thanks for the feedback on the BBQ beef lois. I rarely go to Tesco so when I do I buy the BBQ pork and freeze it.
Evening all. I've not caught up yet, I did type out a fairly long message on Thursday and then lost it all. I lost 0.5lb in the first week of the new challenge. I was really disappointed as I'd really stepped up the exercise with 5 days of level 2 30 day shred, I was totally on plan with the food and did 2 SP days too, so I was expecting more :(.

Don't be too disheartened Sally. Sometimes exercise can impede weightloss to begin with but it should help toning and general wellbeing. Have you checked if you're losing inches?

Hi everyone, does a challenge week run from Monday to Sunday? As I was late joining, my starting weight for the challenge I think works out to be my week one weight, so my week one is effectively STS if that makes any kind of sense at all!!

Yes, that's right. This challenge started on Monday (May the 4th be with you;)) so Week 2 begins tomorrow.

I think one way to understand is to think of a traditional meal of lean meat, veg and potatoes. That's roughly EE but the veg has to be Speed veg and at least a third of the plate at each meal. You're allowed on top of that 2 HEXs (A&B), free food and up to 15 syns each day. Personally I don't think you should 'fill your boots' with free food as some SW consultants tell you as for me it's diluting the amount of Speed food across the day.

EESP is the same meal but with the potatoes taken out so 50:50 lean meat (Protein) and Veg (Speed) and you are allowed an extra HEB.

Obviously you can substitute pasta for potatoes, have pulses for protein etc. etc. HTH but do keep asking.

I have spent [STRIKE]too much[/STRIKE] alot of time online today, joining SW recipe sites, looking for new recipes to try, copying them out (don't have a printer).

Funny old day with eating, but hopefully being back into the work routine tomorrow, will be better.
Brunch:1 slice wholemeal toast,1/2 tsp Flora light, large slice honeydew
Lunch(about 4.30pm) lentil and bacon soup. This kept me full until about 10.30 tonight ,when I had
Tea: 2 slices wholemeal toast,1 teasp Flora lite
Cups of tea with most of milk allowance throughout the day

    I need opinions please......
I have been "going it alone" since restarting SW last Tuesday. So far I have,I think, been doing well. But with all this reading I have been doing,I wonder if I should go along to a meeting (my local one meets tonight).

    My thoughts are:
-I have been managing well so far on my own
but I love the social aspect of going to meetings. It has always been a social highlight of my week, which I do enjoy.I have thought I would get back to target by myself, then go back,so don't have to pay.
-With all the reading I have been doing this weekend about the new way SW is done (S and P),I feel like I don't really understand SW at the moment,so feel if I am following SW I should do it properly
but I love Extra Easy,it has always worked for me, and I might choose to stick to it even after learning about S+P (eg,I like things like pasta and rice being free-that was always part of the point of SW for me)
-I would like to pick up this years copy of the food directory anyway, and I "need" some new recipe books
but not sure about paying £10(which I can afford, but is it worth it) to go to meeting, listen to the intro talk, get weighed officially, and buy them............Knowing me I would get all excited just being back again, seeing old faces(been away since October),sign up for a countdown and suddenly be going back to meetings every week
    I really don't know.Answers on a post-card,please :)

(I need to add,I have absolutely nothing against going to group.I know my group has a new leader,I am told she is very good.Newly-trained,and this is her first group. As mentioned,I always loved going to group.I had just thought I would stay away anyway until I was closer to target.Since hearing about S+P only a few days ago,I have also wondered/worried about learning a new way of doing things).

If everyone on here suggested going along tomorrow/rejoining group,I would happily do it.At the moment just not sure what to do.

SP is part of extra easy and can be used to boost weight loss. I think I'd struggle without carbs to bulk out meals so I haven't tried it yet, and you never have to try it if you don't fancy it. All it is is having only speed and protein foods so no rife rice pasta etc. If you are happy with normal extra easy just stick with it!
