Sorry i've been so rude and not said Hello to our newbies and not congratulated losers or commiserated with strugglers. I'm just not focussed right now.
Anyway yesterday went well - until about 10 o'clock. I was putting my supper mug and plate (2 ginger nuts) away in the kitchen when I remembered I'd made a fruit loaf for DH and it was still in the breadmaker. So I got it out and asked if he wanted some and he did, so I had a slice too. With butter. And very nice it was - usually I don't like fruit loaf, which is why I made it! Then, when I was clearing up the kitchen before bed, I came across a big bag of Maltesers, so I decluttered them - into me.
What's worse is that I do have my whole week planned and I have limited what comes into the house to help me - and I know I shouldn't have done it.
Oh well on to today.
Breakfast: scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
Lunch: hexb + 4 syns chicken salad sandwich with basil mayo (1 syn), fruit
Dinner: chilli con carne, taco etc, hexa cheddar, lettuce, tomatoes
I bought an Old El Paso Stand 'n' Stuff Soft Taco Kit and it says on the side
"Each Taco (tortilla, tomato sauce and herb blend as sold) (41g) contains 100kcal"; so that'd be 5 syns. I think that seems reasonable.
Snacks (choose from - if I stick to just one taco): 2 Garibaldis (4 syns), 2 ginger nuts (5 syns), chocolate digestive (4 syns)Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
I've messed up big time here, I meant I want to lose 3lb for the next challenge, I don't get my first weigh in until Friday, Sorry.
Don't worry hanert - shala will alter it for you - she's good like that:D. Good luck for Friday.
Did anyone watch The C Word on Sunday? I was thinking about you Beanie, knowing you're about to lose a friend to cancer. Hope you're okay.
Got it on the box but haven't had a chance to watch yet. Hugs beanie and anyone else who is suffering atm.shrimpy_80 wrote: »Hi everyone, have been lurking for a little while picking up some of your fab menu ideas and wonder if it would be ok if I joined for the challenge (if I'm not too late?)
Welcome aboard shrimpy. :hello: Well done on your loss so far. :T
Really yucky day here today and it's supposed to be pretty much the same tomorrow.. Had hoped to get the lawns cut but that's not going to happen any time soon as its chucking it down.
Have a good day everyone.

Welcome all the newbies
Long weekend in London went ok, food wise I didn't really get any breakfast any day apart from a toastie at the Copperbox yesterday, lunch was stuff we took with us and teas were: lasagne, lasagne, pizza and chicken and rice...could have been much worse but unfortunately due to the timings of our games speed/convenience tended to dictate all evening meals.
Back now and we've gone from having one weeding in August on a Friday to two weddings...the one on the Friday and one the following day! So I want to shift as much weight as possible and treat myself to two nice outfits me thinks
Going to try and salvage this week over the next couple of days; plenty of fluids etc as I am so dehydrated from the weekend its ridiculous! Then I will get on it, even if it does mean cooking two evening meals every night for a few weeks!
Today:
breakfast: ready brek (heb replacement) with 125ml ss milk (from heA) cup of tea (approx. 50 ml milk from HeA)
lunch: have to go home to sort wonder bairn as bf is injured from the weekend. think I may do myself a microwave jacket potato and some beans or tuna or something
tea: not sure will have a nosey and chat to bf when I get home and update later
no body magic today as its horrible weather here and I forgot my coat! definitely time to get my act together and shift at least a stone************************************

Thanks beaniehe's ok really just pulled/strained a couple of intercostals so can't lift/twist for a few days and if he does anything to quick he gets a twinge that takes his breath away for a minute or so.
Bf goes away in a week to Finland then direct on from there to Japan so I am going to sit down and plan a load of meals for me and wonder bairn then note down everything I can prep in advance and do that the next couple of weekends for the whole week to make my life ten billion times easier! I expect we will have a lot of very samey meals/meal components but I am totally skint until pay day now so very glad I stocked the freezer with lots of colourful veggies at the start of the month!
Going to try for 2 fish meals, 2 white meat meals, 2 red meat meals and 1 'anything goes' kind of meal for each of the weeksmust do a full meat/protein inventory sometime as I know we are near needing a restock!

Sounds as though you have had a fab bit of socialising bellkat and escaped without too much damage. Line drawn and we are starting a new week.
Good luck.

Change of plan for lunch today so instead of jacket potato & beans I'm going to have a prawn salad as I picked up some YS king prawns when shopping. I don't often bother with the YS stuff 'cos most of it isn't SW friendly but just noticed the prawns and fancied them!
Jacket potato will keep!
