    Welcome back save upper. :)

In the my target leaflet it says every 4 but I know I have left it longer than that one point. It flashes up when you sign in online saying when you have stayed away to long.

That's right. If I don't go for about 4 weeks it says I have to WI that week to stay on the site. I find that really useful as it makes me go to WI however bad I've been. I'm lucky in that because I live in a big city there are groups on almost all day every day so if necessary I just go anywhere.

Was it maman that posted a few days ago about losing 1lb a week before xmas is a couple of stone - I know for sure i'd be happy with even half of that!

I did. I posted that a pound a week in a year is almost 4 stone. Similarly a pound a week up to Christmas is over two stone from now! It's good to think of these things. It can be done.:)

Penny, you have the answer in your question: PLAN! PLAN! PLAN! I find the best way to get back on track is to write a meal plan, do a shopping list to match and then a food diary (or post on here) of what you're eating as you go along. I find posting what I'm eating on here helpful as it seems to stop me going toooo OTT.
Got horrible crampy/windy pains in tum tonight and just cannot seem to shift if (sorry tmi). If you hear any thunder tonight you will know that I have succeeded in moving it.

Oh so it's you is it!! The wind here has been absolutely dreadful today so now I know who to blame.:rotfl:

I wonder if it's the meds causing it b-e-g?

Thanks to the wind;) our evening at the country park was cancelled for H&S reasons. Apparently the wind was so strong that trees could be blown over. So, quick change of plan and I got savoury mince from the freezer with new potatoes and veggies. Could have been a perfect SW day but had wine syns and a cookie.:o

New day tomorrow so must try harder.

    :eek::eek::rotfl:

The wind/storm was horrendous at ours yesterday for all of about 20 minutes then it brightened up like it didn't happen..

Hi saver-upper.. do you want adding to the challenge? ;) go on, you know you want too... it's an 8 weeker..

Well i was in such a bad mood when i got home last night - bad day at work, followed by an hour stuck in traffic  i really wanted pizza to cheer myself up but talked myself out of it.. then OH cooked the tea and i ended up with cold sausages and an egg white that was runny _pale_ so i didn't eat that either.. had a sneaky weigh in and haven't lost a single bit so even more:mad:

Went to bed in a strop and lay in my bed for hours in a strop so i'm knackered today and i've forgotten my food..

Wish i'd had the pizza now :rotfl:

So an improvised day - i'll have to call it old EE
    B - banana
    L - toast (heb) 2 for butter
T - beef lasagne, salad, pickles (hea for cheese)
S - crisps (3.5) milk in tea (hea) alpen (3)

Hope everyone has a better day than me :D:p
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

:hello:Welcome back Saver Upper. As Maman says SW works best when you plan. If at all possible only have snacks in the house that are SW friendly! I know this can be difficult when you have to cater for others!!! It's taken me 4 years to get DH on board completely:D so now there are no biscuits, crisps etc in the house but loads of fruit and veg!

Well done CTE on SOTW. Good luck to everyone in the new challenge.

    Another EE day today:

B - scrambled eggs on toast (HEB + 2 as large bread)
L - LO chicken chow mein
    D - Lamb dhansak/rice

HEA will be milk in tea throughout the day as usual.

Think I've managed to rein back the syns enough to stay within target as long as I don't have any more today. Still expecting a gain - just not as much as it would have been, LOL!

Will let you know after WI tomorrow morning.

    Hello to all,

I have been stalking you all since I 'joined' SW ***goes to dig out books*** beginning of March, lost 4lbs in the first week then stalled, kept that loss but the last couple of weeks I have been eating carp. Can't afford to go back to group, so I thought I would bite the bullet and join the challenge with you lovely lot. I was going to aim for 8lb for the challenge but with the 4lb that sneaked back on without my knowledge can I be put down for 12lbs for the challenge please.

Will be doing EE and hopefully adding in SP days.

    Todays plan:
    B - Pear, satsuma,
L - Bacon Omelette with beans
D - Cottage pie, topped with swede/carrot mash, peas and spinach
HexA - Soya Milk in red-bush tea
HexB - 2 Aldi Cereal Bars
    Snacks - Yogurt
    Drinks - NAS vimto/kia ora

Got 5 miles worth of walking planned as I volunteer in a charity shop the next town over, unless I cave and get a bus home, or I could not take any £££'s with me.

Have a great day everyone :j

    Morning all :)

Some fab losses on here and during the challenge so well done to all of you :T

My challenge was not so successful... And I'm starting the new one with a fab WI of 0.5lb gain :( Could be worse I guess, but that's 7 weeks now without a loss and a total of 2.5lb gained in the period. I'll be great at maintaining if I ever reach target :o

    New plan for this week:-
    1. Try not to snack every ruddy day
    2. Take pictures of my food & drink before I have it
    3. Show pictures to hubby in the hope it will stop me eating so much rubbish if he could see what I'm doing (may also subject the fb group to it!)
    4. Keep my exercise up and do my C25K even if it's raining and despite my firm belief the woman is trying to kill me :D

    Morning all

Thanks for the chart Shala and well done CTE for SOTW. Didn't we do well with the challenge, 64% of our target deserves a pat on the back. Good luck with this one everyone.

Welcome back Saver-upper, and well done for biting the bullet and reining things in before they go too bad. Your experience shows that weight loss doesn't stay off unless you stick to eating healthily and it sounds like you're well and truly back on track - results will follow.

Welcome to the thread charmed, and good luck with your target.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

horrible night last night - I feel cruddy and then wonder bairn decided not to sleep :/ I really hope we can crack this sleeping at night/sleeping through thing soon - I am beyond exhausted now

    Today:
I haven't eaten yet as I wasn't feeling particularly bothered but I will shortly tuck in to some food.
Breakfast: kiwi and melon, cup of tea (dash of milk from HeA)
lunch: smoked ham sandwich on HeB great white (+4 syns for extra bread as it's two slices from a medium loaf) 1 syn for 2 laughing cow mini cubes (garlic and herb, 0.5 ea) in place of butter. Apple, Sweet clem
tea: I have lifted out some chicken to defrost so it will either be a chicken and bacon salad or chicken topped with bacon (no cheese for me) served with salad (chips for bf) incl my lush potato salad which is 2 syns (for light salad cream)

secretly looking forward to bf going away as I am planning: chile and rice, fish pie (just cod atm unless I can get some reduced salmon/fish mix), fish cakes (cod or tuna - no breadcrumbs; just fish, potato and some onion) and maybe try making some Annabel Karmel recipes for wonder bairn :)

Well everyone in our group seems to be having surgery, one lady has had a thigh lift and tummy tuck and another getting a boob job. Being the only man is getting a little tiresome, some join with their wives but never on their own. Whenever anyone mentions a star week or something, everyone just looks at me, like I should be really embarressed or something.

I'm going back to basics with SW, the SP plan messed me up and made me think carbs were evil. But I've basically gone back to pre-christmas thinking, and having some left over Balsamic Chicken Pasta for lunch and lasagne for tea! I'm being really careful with the syns as well.

However the rhubarb in my garden is ready so enjoying that with a small amount of sugar of an evening, instead of biscuits.

I think if I can get a week mostly on plan I'll do OK, I'm doing 34 miles walking event on Saturday and there will be food on the route, but I figure I can probably take that with the body magic involved.
