I find Farmfoods quite cheap for frozen fish lush. The pieces tend to be small, odd shapes but excellent for a fish pie. And I got some Everyday value smoked salmon (frozen bits) in Tesco that would work well. You could use them for a pie or flaked in fishcakes.jockosjungle wrote: »I'm going back to basics with SW, the SP plan messed me up and made me think carbs were evil.
However the rhubarb in my garden is ready so enjoying that with a small amount of sugar of an evening, instead of biscuits.
I think SP is all very well for a quick fix but it's not a normal way of eating that can be sustained.
Remember that cooked rhubarb has syns jock. Very minimal (0.5 for 100g) compared to biscuits but not free like many other fruits. Then, of course, there's the sugar on top.
I find I'm getting cross at not taking my own advice at the moment. Plans seem to going awry as I'm having to shuffle dinner around and then if we don't have planned dinner I don't have LOs for lunch!! I think next week I'll over plan for too many meals. It's easier using things up than scratching around for SW ideas with little bought in.
I'm thinking I might weigh and go at a group this evening before dinner as tomorrow morning will be difficult plus it has the advantage that any syns in dinner won't count!
Today's EE:
B: NAS Ribena, scrambled eggs, HEA milk for teas
L: something on toast with pickles?? tiny sandwich??corned beef hash, cauliflower
Syns: corned beef, horseradish (tbsp. to stir into hash).0 -
Cooked? I eat it raw whilst slowly dipping the end in a small amount of sugar. Syn free apart from the sugar.0

I like it like that too. When I was little my Nan used to grow it by the bucket full, so pies, crumbles and with custard galore, but as a treat we used to have rhubarb sweets lol, raw chopped up in a sweet bag and sprinkled with sugar.Slimming World at target0 -

Hi lovely was wondering how you were.
My church is off to a lovely old Shropshire inn. the Man has promised if I go on my knees to pray he will lift me back up, isn't that kind.
Re the Dating sites, I thought I had cleared all details off it as it shows blank on my screen but I had a message from a Man who apparently could still see it, so asked the Man to check and yes all details are still there. After spending a couple of hours googling and investigating I have also discovered that the site I am on is linked to several others and more disturbing to some rather nasty ones, all these sites share data. No wonder I got an invite to go Dogging.
So Megs on a mission, this cannot be right, I am sure that legally they cannot use my Data if I don't want them too, have sent them on email to say I want it removed within 48 hours or will be seeking legal advice. I have also told them I want details of any other site they have shared my details with as no where in the original contract was this mentioned they would do this and I most definitely would not have agreed to this.:mad:Slimming World at target0 -

Welcome back save upper.
Oh so it's you is it!! The wind here has been absolutely dreadful today so now I know who to blame.:rotfl:
I wonder if it's the meds causing it b-e-g?
Thanks to the wind;) our evening at the country park was cancelled for H&S reasons. Apparently the wind was so strong that trees could be blown over. So, quick change of plan and I got savoury mince from the freezer with new potatoes and veggies. Could have been a perfect SW day but had wine syns and a cookie.:o
Quite possibly could have been me mamanStill pained when I went to bed and when I woke up this morning - hey presto - painfree :j Thankfully DH is a sound sleeper :rotfl:
Sorry to hear your walk had to be cancelled - don't think I was responsible for blowing any trees down mind you :eek:charmed1318 wrote: »Hello to all,
I have been stalking you all since I 'joined' SW ***goes to dig out books*** beginning of March, lost 4lbs in the first week then stalled, kept that loss but the last couple of weeks I have been eating carp. Can't afford to go back to group, so I thought I would bite the bullet and join the challenge with you lovely lot. I was going to aim for 8lb for the challenge but with the 4lb that sneaked back on without my knowledge can I be put down for 12lbs for the challenge please.
Welcome aboard charmed - good luck with your target for the Challenge.Matron_Midge wrote: »-1LB for me this week.
Really pleased considering it has been a bank holiday.
So a good start to the challenge for me.😀
Well done Matron :T
Good luck for this Challenge Crabapple - you can do it
Your balsamic chicken pasta sounds rather nice jock. Is it one of your own inventions? I don't think I have ever had raw rhubarb but I tried cooked with sweetener and for me it just doesnt work. Bought some of the little boiled sweets in Aldi today (rhubarb and custard) and they seem quite pleasant. Really should check the syns - only had one so far. Good luck with the weekend walk.
Great to see you posting again Mildredd - we do miss you. Good luck for this challenge and enjoy your weekend in Chester. We have only been to Chester once but said would definitely revisit.
I think that maybe you on your knees meg 'in church' is just a bit too much info :eek::rotfl: You enjoy yourself girl. Good luck with sorting those sites - it just cannot be legal. They will probably say that it was stated somewhere obscure when you signed up. Must be a warning to anyone thinking of joining them.
Dinner tonight was Minced Beef Hash (used less than 5% pork mince) and threw in an extra stock cube. Quite nice and seems to be quite filling atm. Still got HEs for later.
Sorry for rambling but I thought I had better catch up now in case I cannot get back on later.
