As mentioned yesterday,I've got just under 1stone 10 lb to lose.If I was a bit braver,I would make the the first stone my 8-week target. But I will settle instead for the 10lb loss, thank you shala_moo.

I have had a good day today.Cooked up a huuuuuuge "vat" of bacon and lentil soup:yum yum!I hadn't made it before.

    Breakfast:muller lite yoghut and strawberries.

Hi saver upper, I wouldn't be doing my job as a Speed Cop on here:o if I didn't point out that today's menu was a bit low on Speed food. I don't think it matters if you have a third with every meal but needs to be at least a third across the day. When I do gammon I tend to put a few tomatoes and mushrooms in the oven for the last 15 mins or so alongside the chips to keep the Speed food up.

I'm convinced that Speed food and planning are the two most important things about SW,

No problem with the HEB, going without now and again won't do any harm.:)

However the rhubarb in my garden is ready so enjoying that with a small amount of sugar of an evening, instead of biscuits.

Brings back many happy memories of sitting on the step with a stick of rhubarb & bowl of sugar. Our rhubarb is growing too but I expect I'll be making pies, crumble & jam with it. Don't worry the baking is for FIL and I give the jam away as Christmas presents. I will probably make some rhubarb ice-cream with it too for treats. I make it with soya yoghurt, lactofree cream and evaporated milk so it is almost dairy free and I can tolerate small amounts as a treat.

DH is on election duty today so only myself and DS to cater for.
Planning to have venison meatballs with Spicy potato wedges (SW style) for tea, will add lots of veg to the meatballs.

The dancing weekend has finally caught up with me and I've been exhausted all this week, sleeping for 9/10 hrs a night yet still v. tired next day. Had to cut back on callisthenics too. Just hope I can shift the 1lb I gained, with a few more soon.

    Beanie ((Hugs))

Still here not just as bad pain wise today, just really really tired and drained.

No idea where I am with the weight as I haven't been on the scales in a few weeks and can't remember what I was the last time.

Shala for easiness all round think I will have to withdraw from the challenge for now and just see how I get on.

rhubard ice-cream sounds rather delish durham nom nom :D A tub of Carte D'or Praline (£1.75) fell into basket in FarmFoods this morning. I allow about 9 syns for a sixth of a tub - so not too bad a treat if I have had a low syn day. The coffee one was my fav but the praline one has jumped into first position followed by the coffee one :D.

Lentil and Bacon soup for lunch followed by some fruit. Dinner tonight is the Lidl Pork Shank in Peppercorn Sauce (as far as I could see it is syn free) with loads of veggies and then some yoghurt.

Hang on in there lantanna. I can understand why you aren't in the zone for full on SW but (from the little I know about gall stones) I'm sure a version of healthy eating would help. Mildredd called by yesterday so maybe she can advise as she's been through it herself.

Sorry to hear your dancing's caught up with you mim but I'm sure it was worth it and a pound is a very small gain. You'll see that off very soon.

:T matron midge, onwards and downwards!!

I've been to WI this morning and amazingly lost a pound. So I'm just inside (half a pound) the bottom of my range which is where I like to be.

News from my group is that they're bringing out a Limited Edition Lemon Meringue Hi Fi shortly. People were excited at the thought of crumbling them up for cheesecake bases.

I can afford to relax a little this week. Looking at diary I have two meals out planned: one a pub where I like the steak and salad and the other an Indian. So that's probably enough relaxation! And I think I might go for some wine syns tonight although wouldn't want to celebrate election result too early. I think it might take days/weeks before we know the make up of next government.

    EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, baked beans, HEA milk for teas
L: LO corned beef hash (counted syns yesterday) with mushrooms, spring onions and pickles.
D: gammon, cauli & broccoli cheese, SW chips/new potatoes (not decided yet)
Syns: scrape of spread, cheese sauce and maybe wine;).

Yes, b-e-g, the pork shanks are free. I'd like to hear what they/the sauce taste like as I could do with a few easy new ideas on the menu.

Can you tell me how you do your lentil and bacon soup? I tend to make mine when I cook a piece of gammon and I've run out of my stock in the freezer now the weather's turned colder.
