    Can I join in please?

I just joined SW online today as I can't get to the nearest group and all the others are too far away :(.

I'll be looking at everything properly tomorrow, when I have more time. I have 10kg/22lb to lose.

I have managed to lose a bit with WW before, but over the last year it's crept up again, nearly to the point I was 12 years ago when I was at my heaviest! A friend of mine has had a lot of success with SW and is now a consultant, so I thought I'd give it a try.
  • Welcome michbright :D (And all other newbies who have joined this friendly thread!)

So sorry I haven't been on in the last week, I have only three more days before I am free of University and normal planning can resume.

SHALA - confirming my aim for the new challenge, please put me down for a 7lb loss.

Now that I have that down on record we shall see how well I can mess that up. ;)

This week has been hectic, but finished off nicely with a birthday party involving lots of alcohol, cake, catching up with old friends and dancing. Don't think the exercise balanced the calorie intake though!

    Weigh in = +1lb this week.

The world has not ended - I was expecting much worse considering how much cake there was ;)

Meg you looked like you had lots of fun rolling around in the mud...wait.. that was a run wasn't it :T - well done!

    Congrats Tweets on hitting target!

I promise to be more active on the thread very very soon.

I hope everyone can enjoy the lovely bank holiday with a smile.

Planning has to be the answer crabapple. The only way that works for me is a meal plan and stick to it. If I've got the right foods in then I don't need to think.

How far off target are you? Size 12 sounds good to me.:)

My actual meals are good maman, and I eat lots of veg and some fruit (bit fussier about fruit it's not my favourite thing!).

I do have the right things in, but I also have snacks for the kids which I can sometimes ignore and other times (like at the moment) I hoover them up given any opportunity

I'm 10lb off target now. It might sound like I'm done but I really don't feel it and I've always thought that I wear the fat fairly well and haven't really been the size I should be if that makes any sense?!

Still, I will keep plodding! On the plus side I'm doing well at maintaining, so if I get my slimming head back on then I should be able to get shot of this last bit...

Can I put myself down for 6lb for the challenge please Shala. Not going to try for all 10, it didn't work last time :rotfl:

    Thanks

Last week I looked at the chart and the forum users BEG, Candyapple, CTE, Fay, Meg, +me all hit our challenge targets :)
I am hoping to see a few more names (hitting challenge targets or very close), next Tuesday when this challenge finishes.

I am sitting back for the next challenge, I need to experiment with some dietary changes, I would like to avoid meat products as much as possible, especial extensively farmed meat products. I am really going to struggle.
I cannot give up fish just yet though.

My overall target could realistically be reached by the end of the year or sooner.
    SW loss= 15.5kg / 2st 6.2lb

Welcome mich. You might find that you don't need to renew after the initial 3 months. Hopefully that'll be because you've got to target:D but if not, you'll be sufficiently familiar with the plan that you can go it alone with the help of the thread. Do ask any questions you want. Tweets can explain because that's exactly what she's done and she got to target this week!!:T

It makes perfect sense. I was much the same as, being tall, I had worked out a way of looking OK with the extra weight by choosing the right clothes, colours etc. But I knew that underneath it all I was fat and I hated it.:(

I buy snacks for my DH but try to buy things I don't really like so I'm not tempted. I made the error of buying some chewy fruit/oat cookies this week and ate one last night when resistance was low due to wine syns:o whereas I can leave the chocolate ones alone no problem.

Don't worry about the fruit. I think vegetables are far more effective and I think SW broadly agree which is why so many fruits have been removed from the Speed list.

Oh in the MUD!!! I was thinking Hay!!:rotfl:

Not sure how today's going to work out. I've had a SW breakfast (HEB toast and beans) have plenty of cold meat and veg for lunch. We're off to cinema later and current plan is to eat out afterwards. Same plan tomorrow. Not feeling out of range...yet. This week's WI will tell.

I joined online for 3 months and found it a waste of money :( apart from getting the healthy eating information to set me off losing weight. The only thing I found out I was using web page for was entering my weight on a weekly basis otherwise I didn't use the site.

They would be better letting you join for a month.

I have got to goal by doing the SW by myself :j:j:j
