    Alpen Bars...

I have been eating the Alpen Light Summer Fruit bars as they are free as a HEB if you eat two of them. You can also eat the Aldi Benefit bars (if you shop there) as a HEB if you don't want to spend too much on Alpen.

The normal Alpen bars, like Alpen Strawberry, are around 6 syns.

Welcome ironed out  alpen lights are a heb still, they bowed to peer pressure and changed the recipe back! You should have got the info in your book to log onto the website - there's a pin code you have written in there.. you just need to register.

Hi Shala_moo thanks for the info on Alpen bars. I'm glad they had a re-think! I managed to get on the site, but because I haven't been on there for about a year, I'm no longer registered. I tried to re-register using my card, but I have no PIN number to put in. I've been in touch with my consultant who is going to get back to me though 😀

10 months  that's absolutely disgraceful, lifes too short to spend in pain, go back to Doctors love and play the mental Health,
cry all over her and tell her enough is enough that should earn you a few more points and quicken things up.

Been a strange day for me too, My DD and DGD got down and dirty :rotfl: did the Mud Fun Run for cancer, I wanted to do it in memory of my lovely best friend, but the dodgy knees wouldn't let me. So Bless them they did it for me with her name on their T shirts. Sooo lots of tears for my friend, then lots more tears when they put the finish picture up, but tears for joy that these two are mine, could have burst with pride . Then more tears when the new man turned up because he said he thought I could use a cuddle today, Oh and by the way would I like to go for a romantic night away. , lol couldn't get to the phone quick enough to book a room, me not him, Sooooo Thursday the 7th I am off to a church meeting :rotfl: My first is almost 20 years. well I have to lose this last 1lb somehow don't I.

    Morning all

Hope everyone is enjoying this bank holiday weekend, even though the weather is carp. It was miserable here yesterday but we had a busy day. We do fish and chips on Saturdays and we were busy with orders from 5.30 until 7.00. Thankfully I'd planned ahead and prepared a chicken casserole in the slow cooker, so we didn't resort to the easy option as we would have done last year.

Lantanna - that's an unbelievably long wait for someone in so much pain. I agree with Meg, lay it on thick with your GP about how much it's affecting your life and hopefully you'll be treated as an urgent case. From my own experience with DH, the NHS idea of urgent isn't the same as us mere mortals. In 2008 DH needed 'urgent' heart surgery and when I heard that word I expected him to be taken in within weeks - 5 months later he finally had the op. During that time he was unable to do anything, even going upstairs exhausted him so much he had to rest every few steps.

Meg - so pleased to hear you've found someone nice, hope you have a lovely time on Thursday. Well done to your family for doing the run on your behalf. Running would be bad enough, but getting muddy as well? Noooo...... :rotfl:

Maman - that red cabbage dish looks lovely, I'm definitely going to give that a go. I've only cooked red cabbage once and I treated it like ordinary cabbage and wasn't impressed.

Have a good day everyone, hope the weather is a bit brighter today.

    Morning everyone!

Lantanna - glad you know what it is at last and hopefully you will get prioritised. Those comments on waiting times are shocking. I remember being referred for non-urgent knee surgery when I was 15...I eventually had the operation when I was 24....

Meg - what a lovely photo, sounds like it was a very emotional day. New man sounds very promising!

Lois - it's dark and pelting with rain here unfortunately, but yesterday was dry and tomorrow is supposed to be a bit better.

Hope everyone has a lovely day :)

It's not like ordinary cabbage at all, tastes yummy because of the spices. I'm going to portion it up today for the freezer and keep some out for dinner. I wish I could send you some to try!:)

Good on you for planning in advance and not going for the chippy option.

Another on plan day here. Tomorrow we're going to see Far from the Madding Crowd so probably eat out afterwards.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: frittata/omelette using up stuff in fridge
D: roast beef, SW roast potatoes and parsnips, broccoli, red cabbage, carrots
Syns: squirt of syrup, gravy and weekend wine:D.
