Great to see you back on track greentiger.:T
Those bars look interesting but I'm always suspicious of the 'magic bullet' approach. I've only scanned the article but I'm sure 'as part of a healthy diet' or somesuch would feature.
AFAIK the new forum format appeared one day last week lois. There was an option to choose or maintain the old one. I chose the old one but it seems to have shrunk a bit so it doesn't fill the screen. Irritating, but I'll cope.
I know I'm a big advocate of Speed food:o but I don't have it with every meal. I average it through the day. It's almost unheard of for me to have Speed food with breakfast unless it's in a hotel. I generally do manage a third at lunchtime (like denise I often top up with pickles) but I almost always have masses for dinner.
I'm out for a carvery this evening, regular meet up with colleagues after a meeting. I'll go with the best of intentions. First I refuse a Yorkshire then try to put as much Speed food on my plate as possible to leave minimal room for roasties and then try to go easy on the gravy. That's the plan.;)
EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, scrambled eggs, HEA milk for teas
L: LO meat and veg and fried potatoes with picklescarvery
Syns: as above plus wine syns
No HEB as yet, might skip it today as I doubt I'll need it.0 -
Morning all
Not such a great weekend; I really am struggling with my sinuses now but literally no time to go to the surgery to be fobbed to a nurse until Tuesday so I will go then and no doubt be thrown another course of mega whack antibiotics and told I can't have a referral for anything else even to see an actual GP. Bah. It has meant that food was very hit and miss.
Felt virtuous yesterday though, as shared on the Facebook group (anyone want an invite sending drop me a PM with the email address you use for Facebook) extra lean bacon, HeB wholemeal roll, mushrroms, egg and beans for breakfast, missed lunch (oops) as was rushing here and there, Afternoon: two black and white mints 2each? =4syn Tea: ended up eating at a shopping centre but instead of the usual KFC temptation I had a totally free salad from subway and it was gooooooood!...
then tried one of the muller light goodies 2.5syn
Also got my picnic backpack cooler sorted, if I knew how to share pics from Facebook I would; it's very bright but I don't mind that really. The more pretty ones from the supermarket were more money and didn't look as functional tbh so I'm happy with what I picked up from the local Go Outdoorsready to fill it with apples, bananas, satsumas, sandwich fixings and everything else. should fit most of the food in for the 4 lunches/snacks. though will likely keep bread etc separate.
Today:
breakfast: apple, few strawberries, kiwi
snack: 1 ryvita multi seed thin - 2syn. banana
lunch: leek and potato soup from the freezer think I will have another couple of ryvita thins with my soup in place of a HeB (4syn) sweet clem
tea: chicken and bacon salad: 5 syn to account for 1/2 tbsp. light salad cream on my potato salad and a little bit of cheese
HeA: little spot of milk in 2 cuppas
total 11 syns
Does anyone know the syns in potato croquettes I got some for wonder bairn but now I fancy a couple next time bf is away************************************

Welcome to my world :rotfl:0 -
Sorry I meant to comment on my last post for you Mrs.R - you look stunning. Love the outfit. xx You have got me thinking now - should I consider a fascinator for wedding in August :think:greentiger wrote: »
Loving the smilies greentiger - will have to see if I can find them. Pressed for time at the moment though.
Congrats on your amazing 4lbs loss :T:j:T - don't think Shala's going to let us carry our losses over til next challenge though - shame but I thought it was worth asking her.Good Morning
We have April showers this morning and it looks windy
We've had snow flurries here tweets:rotfl:
Congratulations to everyone on their losses. Some fantastic losses there for the last week of the challenge.
special congrats for beg - well done on the 7stone achievement.
WI for me tonight but I am expecting a gain as I was away for the weekend to celebrate DH's birthday so lots of eating and drinking, drinking and eating lol. We did a lot of walking but think I may have had to have jogged up and down Ben Nevis in order to negate the food and drink lol.
Thanks so much Maisie. You might get a pleasant surprise at wi. I had Tuesday totally off plan big style (for DH's birthday treat too) and I still managed to pull it back by getting back on plan the next day. Beginning to think that it gave my metabolism a bit of a kick up the butt - if that is possible. Good luck for wi.
Off to read a few more posts.

We've been having the Bacon Rissotto from one the books, its really nice.
Weigh in tonight, no idea what will happen, I lost 6lbs in the broken scales debacle of last week, so will struggle to even stay the same I think. This whole challenge has been a complete write off but I guess I'm still sort of where I might be long term, so its nice to see it can handle a holiday, etc.
I'm getting a bit addicted to Cornettos though, there is a really chocolatey one that is 10 syns but is a really good choccy fix.0 -

Here you go lush:
Putting pics on is a bit of a faff, you need to have an account with Photobucket or similar, upload your photo to that, then copy a link to the forum using the Insert Image icon.
Hope you feel better soon.

Oh Lantanna I hope they make some progress for you soon; I am in no mood to fight with healthcare professionals either so probably best I hold off. Although if I think about it I don't think the pain has ever gone away since my last course of antibiotics it just flares up and down. My manager commented on that fact...I like how we keep tabs on each other's health
I am thinking of planning my food as much as possible for the rest of the month based around when bf is away (easier as it's just two straight weeks in May) and what's on at work etc. I think it may just help me focus at bit more as I won't be worrying about just grabbing an easy option/it needing to be quick etc
Aww yay thanks Loisso glad other's are more forum/web savvy than me!

BEG - Congrats on your Cert!! That's it now you've officially overtaken me :T
Ok I've had a word with myself. I am going to take each as it comes and try and stop this comfort grazing / all day stuffing to try and make myself feel better.
I'm meant to be off to Dublin on Saturday just for one night - undecided if I am going yet but don't want to let down my friend and I do think it might do me good and there is also a cancellation fee. Will decide soon
Thanks lantanna but please don't knock your own achievement. You have so much to deal with atm. I can understand your undecidedness on your little trip - the change may be just what you need.lushlifesaver wrote: »Morning all

What make croquettes lush - they seem to vary - Asda Chosen By You - 1.5 each, Sainsbugs chilled 2.5 each. If you know the brand I will look up for you.
Hope your sinuses get sorted soon.

Sorry to hear you're still suffering lush and healthcare sounds so poor in your area. At least here I can get to see a GP but it hasn't really helped. I've had catarrh hanging around since a fluey cold at Christmas. Latest GP said it was an allergy but all antihistamines do is put off the streaming/coughing until later in the day. Really bunged up yesterday with sinus pain. But feeling much better today.:DGood morning everyone can someone help me with this question?
Is SKYR Icelandic yoghurt free. It's got reduced sugar FAT free and high in protein. Oh! It's delish. Also Linwoods sesame seeds, sunflower seeds flax seeds and gogi berries. Are they classed as cereal ie B or is it synned.
I would be very grateful if someone knows. Thanks x
I can't find the yogurt at all wiz. All I can suggest is that you give the food values and it can go in the calculator. Lots of the Linwood things are HEXs but the descriptions are a bit pernickety on the site so not sure which you have.- sunflower and pumpkin seeds are 20g a HE or 6 syns for 25g
- milled flaxseeds with biocultures and Vit D are 20g for a HE or 6.5 syns for 25g
- goji berries are 45g for a HE or 3.5 syns for 25g
- sesame seeds don't appear except as bread squres
