  • Hello all, hope you're well!

First week weigh in tonight and I lost 4lb!

So so happy as this has cemented my commitment to SW and really feel motivated to keep it up :j

Need to stay focused and stick to meal plans, onwards & downwards! :p

    Tomorrow SP day:
    B - Porridge with rhubarb (hea/b)
L - Tomato & Basil Soup with wholemeal bread (heb)
D - Chilli and cauliflower rice
    S - apples, oranges & strawberries

    Hope your days go well!
Hugs & well wishes to those who need an extra boost x

Lois - the fact it costs a fiver could be motivation for some ;).

    Pleased for you beanie :)

Do you mean it would motivate you to stick to the plan and lose more weight so you get to target quicker?

TBH it's the money that's putting me off.

That's a really fantastic start Sympatea, a fantastic motivator.
Always keep your reason for doing SW in the forefront of your mind, you will succeed if they are your reasons.
Are you doing the next challenge?

Well done to the other losers, STS'ers who posted yesterday and today.

    Syn Question:
If I make home made chips from potatoes, and cook them healthily, i.e in my Tefal Actifry, with minimal oil (small drizzle), what do you suppose the Syn value would be per 100g?

    Morning :D

Pleased to report a loss of 1lb this morning which means I've lost 2 stone in total. :j it's taken me nearly 6 months but I'm pleased.

    Well done sympatea, that's a great start.:T

Shala - good to see you haven't lost your sense of humour. :D

Smedley - you can use spray oil in the actifry, I do. If you prefer to use oil, I believe 1 tablespoon is 5 syns.

    Have a good day everyone.

Tweets - agree with what others have said - only you know if you're happy where you are. As you don't go to Group it's not a problem with calling target now and then if you lose more it doesn't matter. You can always change your target. I certainly wouldn't be beating myself up over 2lb!

Having a Red day today for a change!

B - porridge made with water; frozen mixed fruit
L - seafood sticks with salad, FF vinegarette
D - Moules Marniere - have ordered the mussels from the local fish shop so need to pick them up later today. Also need to buy a bottle of dry white wine as only have white wine which is too sweet for cooking with (don't generally drink white but DD2 likes a sweeter wine when she visits so keep some in the cupboard for her!)

HEA - milk; not sure I'll have a 2nd one
    HEB1 - porridge
    HEB2 - 2 Ryvita (0.5); HiFi Rocky Road (0.5)

Syns - wine 12 (half bottle to cook with shared with DH and we'll drink the other half!)
    Butter - 2

Greentiger – Haven’t had a Mars Bar Ice Cream in about 15 years!A Snickers one would be more up my street yum – but its not happening.I did have a Honeycomb Ice Cream last Saturday from the Ice Cream Parlour and it was delish! I couldn't help it lol its was such a lovely day and the Ice Cream Parlour is right by the Chemist where I was collecting my prescription lol
Oh Shala honey I am so in that jail with you so you will have company!! Here we are!!!O+EmIbk4nLmP98A662FUDmNWiejHbaccZ38AAAAASUVORK5CYII=O+EmIbk4nLmP98A662FUDmNWiejHbaccZ38AAAAASUVORK5CYII= They can throw some speed foods only at us through the bars!! :T
Tweets my feet are a size 7 and I think at 5.5 that’s big, they used to be a size 8!! But thankfully came down when after about 4 stone!I hear of some people that’s feet have dropped a couple of sizes with a couple of stone.I lost almost 7 stone at my lightest and only went down one.Guess my feet were long as opposed to fat really.:eek:Annoying though all the same.I hate feet!!! I'm like a spider long limbed with a short fat abdomen :rotfl:
The norks I am stuck with thin or fat the norks reign on!
Managed an hour and 10 mins on the treadmill last night doing 7 k so was very pleased with myself, got to hit it big time when I am feeling able.Feeling a bit more positive, focused and like myself today I definitely need the serotonin hit exercise provides in large doses! Being Friday also helps the form.
Beanie – Glad it was only a really small gain.
Well done Lois, 6 months or not its gone !:T

Nice to hear you are having so much success Lois. 28 lbs is one heck of a lot of excess (lard) gone for good, well done!

Thanks for the advice on the actifry,
I didn't realise it was just the oil causing the Syn factor and that spuds were free.
Great to have this little trick from you.
Looking forward to "Sirloin Steak and Chips" tonight.
